That’s When Megan Fox Went Swimming With Jason Segel and Chris O’Dowd

Here at Movieline HQ , we’ve been holding out hope that the untitled Judd Apatow continuation/quasi-sequel to Knocked Up (which has been filming with the working title of This Is Forty ) will feature a comeback performance from the terminally maligned Megan Fox. No word yet whether that will happen — despite co-star Paul Rudd singing her praises last week — but at least Fox is having fun on the set. Over the weekend she posted a picture of herself and co-stars Jason Segel and Chris O’D owd mugging for the camera in a swimming pool. Moviemaking! Just like breaking rocks! Germany’s Fine, But Where Should Woody Allen Film Next?

Following the recent success of Midnight in Paris and the filming of Bop Decameron in Rome, Woody Allen is apparently planning to set his next film in Germany . Exciting! And maybe a little predictable, but I’m enjoying the minor Zelig flashback this news conjures. Do you have visions for locales in the next leg of Allen’s film career? Friday Box Office: Help!

Hoo boy. The late-summer movie bottleneck has caught up with Hollywood, relegating this weekend’s trio of new wide releases to the bottom of the top five at the box office. Above them, a pair of leggy holdovers scrap for the top spot, with the ladies of The Help putting some distance between themselves and James Franco’s tenacious Rise of the Planet of the Apes . Tom Hardy Is In Dark Knight Rises Denial (and 8 Other Revelations From the Warrior Press Conference)

When The Fighter premiered last year, Lionsgate was sitting on Warrior , another “fighter” film about the deeply rooted rivalry between two working-class brothers. Directed by Gavin O’C onnor ( Miracle ), the action drama features burgeoning stars Joel Edgerton and Tom Hardy (both of whom force fed themselves chicken and trained brutally to attain realistically rock hard MMA physiques) and Nick Nolte as their recovering alcoholic father who so desperately seeks their forgiveness. In anticipation of this gritty Sept. 9 release, O’C onnor and his stars Nolte, Edgerton, Hardy and Jennifer Morrison gathered Friday at the Los Angeles press conference to discuss Warrior , their upcoming big budget projects ( Dark Knight Rises and The Great Gatsby ) and in the case of Nolte, Katharine Hepburn’s affinity for drunks and the enduring social message of his ’80s Eddie Murphy comedy 48 Hours .
