Video:Amy Poehler kiss with David Letterman picture

Since Amy Poehler#39;s Parks and Recreation character couldn#39;t make a kiss with Vice President Joe Biden happen, she settled for the next best thing: David Letterman? On Tuesday night#39;s Late Show, the program#39;s host moved a bit closer to the Parks and Recreation star just as he was about to roll a clip from Poehler#39;s sitcom. “Oh, I thought you were going to go in for a kiss,” the comic actress remarked. Then, without missing a beat, Letterman proceeded to grab Poehler by the arm

Hugh-larious! Amanda Seyfried Tells Vanity Fair About Hugh Jackman’s ‘Wildly Inappropriate’ Wit

Amanda Seyfried had fun on the set  of Les Misérables . In a photo feature shoot with Vanity Fair.com , the actress, who plays adopted daughter Cosette to  Hugh Jackman’s  Valjean, talks about how she and her co-star invented “alternative story lines that transformed their characters’ tender relationship into something altogether less innocent,” according to the website.  Seyfried, who shares what the magazine describes as Jackman’s “wildly inappropriate sense of humor,” , says, “We sexualized everything as much as we could. It was really funny, the moments we could find . . . It’s like every movie has another version, another satirical version of itself.” Hmm….wildly inappropriate sense of humor, huh? I’d say that makes Jackman a prime suspect in the international headlines-making James Marsden IMDb bio-tampering case that I wrote about on Nov. 14.   The Bachelorette actor told the Hollywood Reporter that “a famous actor friend of mine,” whom he would not finger by name, “likes to go into other people’s bios and add things,” which resulted in IMDb’s erroneous assertion that Marsden is a big Barry Manilow fan. While saying someone’s a fan of the “Mandy” man is not exactly wildly appropriate, it sure sounds like the kind of prank that a show-tunes loving actor like Jackman — who co-starred with Marsden in the X-Men films — might play on a pal. I’ve asked Marsden’s spokeswoman if the actor would like to comment and will update accordingly, but in the meantime, check out these sexy shots of Seyfried, more of which can be found at VF.com . WATCH: Keira Knightley Sees Shades Of Modern Bullying In ‘Anna Karenina’

Young women bullied by their peers into committing suicide has become a staple of today’s news cycle, but as  Anna Karenina   demonstrates, it’s hardly a new phenomenon. Whether you’re talking about 19th-century Russian aristocrats or Midwestern teens in the age of Facebook,  as Keira Knightley tells me, “The rules of society change, but the way that society works does not.”  I sat down with Knightley and director Joe Wright to talk about their bold adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s novel and its continued relevance in our contemporary digital world.  Their passion for the material is as palpable as the film’s lush production design. Check out the videos below to get the behind-the-scenes scoop on the most daring movie this Oscar season: Anna Karenina is now playing in limited release. Glimmers Of Gold: Let The Oscar Index Begin!

If you haven’t noticed, there’s a fierce battle being fought out there for the right to heft a gold statuette at the Dolby Theater on Feb. 24 and forget to thank some vital member of your family.  And though more than a half dozen pictures and performances that the blogosphere is touting as Oscar-worthy have yet to be seen by the public (and, in some cases, the very bloggers who are touting them), the virtual home office at Movieline has decided it’s time to throw open the doors to the Institute For the Advanced Study of Kudos Forensics and start up the Oscar Index . How The Oscar Index Works This year, Movieline’ s Oscar Index will be presented differently than it has been in the past.  We’ll soon add the now-iconic graph that tracks the weekly rise and fall of the candidates based on fluctuations in the Institute’s extremely sensitive media seismometers. What will be different is that, with each award category that we track, we’ll present four different rankings. Movieline Executive Editor Jen Yamato , Managing Editor Brian Brooks and myself will each provide our personal weekly rankings of the movies and actors in the running, and then those results will be weighted and averaged to determine an official Movieline ranking for each category. This week, we begin with the Best Picture category. Next week, we’ll weigh in on the Best Director, Best Actor, Actress and Best Supporting Actor and Actress races. Oscar for Best Picture 2013 Right now, Lincoln is the picture to beat with its heart-and-soul performance by Daniel Day-Lewis — his world-weary slump-shouldered walk alone is worth the price of admission — a beautiful script by Tony Kushner and some pitch-perfect scenery chewing by Tommy Lee Jones and James Spader. The picture finishes at the top of two of our three lists, and Awards Daily calls it “Arguably, the best film of the year so far,” adding: “Films this thoughtfully created don’t come around very often.” The consensus at a number of blogsites, such as Indiewire , is that Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, Ben Affleck’s Argo and David O. Russell’s Silver Linings Playbook are also going to be nominated for Best Picture. Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master has also been mentioned, but the film opened so early in the race and, with the exception of Joaquin Phoenix’s comments about how he really feels about Oscars, the movie could use a second wind unless The Weinstein Company is shifting its weight to a Silver Linings push. But coming up fast is Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables , which our own Ms. Yamato notes, is “scaring” a lot of the other contenders.  Meanwhile, Michael Haneke’s Amour and Benh Zeitlin’s Beasts of the Southern Wild are long shots, but still in the race. Indeed, the latter film finished in the number 10 spot on each Movieline editor’s list. An even darker horse is Skyfall , but I (alone) agree with Deadline that the movie’s critical and box-office success and its popularity among Academy members bode well for a best-picture nomination.  Here’s the rundown of each Movieline editor’s Best Picture picks in descending order: Frank DiGiacomo’s Picks 1. Lincoln 2.   Silver Linings Playbook 3.   Argo 4.   Les Misérables 5.   Life of Pi 6.   Skyfall 7.   Zero Dark Thirty 8 .   Flight 9.   The Master 10. Beasts of the Southern Wild — Jen Yamato’s Picks 1.   Les Misérables 2.   Lincoln 3.   Silver Linings Playbook 4.   Argo 5.   Life of Pi 6.   Zero Dark Thirty 7.   Anna Karenina 8.   The Master 9.   The Hobbit 10. Beasts of the Southern Wild — Brian Brooks’ Picks 1. Lincoln 2. Silver Linings Playbook 3. Les Misérables 4. Argo 5. Life of Pi 6. Amour 7. Django Unchained 8. Anna Karenina 9. The Dark Knight Rises 10.   Beasts of the Southern Wild And the winners are…

Kris and Bruce Jenner Divorce "Being Seriously Considered," Sources Claim

Kris and Bruce Jenner are on the rocks, according to a new report alleging that Bruce is “seriously considering” ending his 21-year marriage to Kris. The reason? The Olympic great “can’t handle her Kardashian empire obsession and inappropriate relationships with other men,” according to a supposed insider. Friends say Bruce has complained to lawyer acquaintances and pals about the strife in their marriage and what it would take to get out from under it. They have supposedly helped him asses their combined wealth, theoretical division of assets and a possible custody arrangements for Kylie and Kendall Jenner . For Bruce, enough is enough (allegedly). “He absolutely hates it when all the cronies at the Country Club jokingly call him Bruce Kardashian,” said an insider close to the male Jenner. “Kris is continually perceived as the moneymaker and the one who wears the pants in the family, and he’s sick and tired of all the humiliation.” As evidenced by anyone who watches Keeping Up With The Kardashians , Kris seems more on par with her daughters than “old fart” Bruce. “This started off as a family show,” Bruce lamented last month. “I don’t want to be involved in a show that talks about penises and sex and all this crap.” There’s also the Todd Waterman situation and Kris’ propensity for inappropriate relationships – to varying degrees, depending on what you read – with other men. If these rumors are true, it’s entirely possible they could divorce before Kim Kardashian finally gets around to officially ending her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries. Wouldn’t that be something.

Reggie Bush Doesn’t Want to See Bills Fans Topless; Miss Buffalo Lonna McCary Fires Back

Reggie Bush offended many women in New York State – Miss Buffalo Lonna McCary included – with a comment he made yesterday. The background: Bush’s Miami Dolphins play the Buffalo Bills tonight on the Bills’ home turf, with temps in the mid-to-upper 30s. That’s actually warm for Buffalo in November, prompting The Paul and Young Ron radio show hosts to ponder if any fans will go topless. “You don’t want to see that,” said one host. “No. God, no.” Bush, who’s expecting his first child with Lilit Avagyan , agreed. “No, not Buffalo women,” he said. Upon hearing this, Lonna McCary, the current Miss Buffalo, fired back : “These people who write disparaging remarks about Buffalo obviously haven’t spent enough time here to pass judgment,” she told Yahoo Sports. “Buffalo was once one of the most prosperous cities on the East Coast. Like them or not, the Buffalo Bills attended four straight Super Bowls in a row.” “I believe the negative attitude players who come to Buffalo have is half the reason we have suffered this long playoff drought.” “Yeah, it’s cold here, but get over it,” added the pride of Western New York. “You’re living millions of kids’ dreams, so get out there and play.” Former Heisman winner and Kim Kardashian boy toy Bush made light of the backlash on Twitter, claiming his words were twisted. “Lol it was a joke! GET IT! No? Nobody? Ok Crickets………..” “I love how people try to twist up my words lol! Whatever helps you sleep better at night. Now all of a sudden I’m bashing women in Buffalo? Lol! Ok if you say so…” One woman tweeted “thanks to your comments, we’re all going topless to the game tomorrow.” The NFL star retweeted that, adding, “Mission accomplished!” What if that really was his plan all along? Diabolically well played, Reg.

Ariel Winter vs. Mother: The Ugly Court Transcript

The court transcript from last month’s guardianship hearing – which resulted in a judge decreeing that enough evidence of abuse existed to remove Ariel Winter from the home of her mother – have been made public. And they are very ugly on both sides. According to an attorney for Shanelle Workman (the actress’ sister, who is now caring for Ariel and who left home herself 20 years ago following allegations of abuse against her mom), Chrystal Workman was a “terror on the set of Modern Family ” and was nearly removed on multiple occasions. Moreover, Chrystal “repeatedly slapped, hit and pushed ” Ariel, while Workman’s lawyer added that Chrystal “sexualizes” her child by forcing her to don revealing outfits. In response, Chrystal clearly implied to the judge that her daughter was making up such charges, saying Winter is an “actress so I’m sure she can cry at the drop of a hat.” Shanelle, meanwhile, was present in court and reiterated how Chrystal also abused her as a teenager. Chrystal’s response? Her older child has no credibility because she ran off with a gang member many years ago and crack was once found in her home. It’s a confusing case, it’s a sordid case and, because a 14-year old girl is at the center of it, it’s a very sad case.

Kristen Stewart Lashes Out at Reporter: You Know Nothing!

When Kristen Stewart was asked about Robert Pattinson on The Today Show this week, she tried to laugh and brush the question off. It was awkward, but mostly calm and successful. But the stress of the situation is clearly getting to the actress, as evidenced by another interview she gave this week to The Los Angeles Times . Alongside Stephenie Meyer, Stewart went into depth about Breaking Dawn Part 2 and The Twilight Saga in general, but somewhat lost her cool when the topic of her personal life was addressed. “People are just going to write the movie version of your life and consume it the way they please. I get the inclination to be entertained by that as well, so go for it. Have at it. Take it. Take it,” Stewart told the reporter. “But you knew nothing about my relationship before. You know less now. How could you?” On Thursday, the topic was also brought up with Pattinson during a chat with Savannah Guthrie. How did the handsome actor reply? In a coy, cool manner, of course. He’s very good at that.
