VIDEO: Why Yes, Glee’s Matthew Morrison Did Breakdance on Oprah Today

This afternoon, self-professed Gleek Oprah Winfrey invited the cast of her favorite Fox musical program to her studio for a super-sized show. The cast dished on their amazing chemistry, took viewers behind-the-scenes of an upcoming episode featuring Neil Patrick Harris, then performed a redemptive version of their go-to crowd pleaser , “Don’t Stop Believin’.” Still, Oprah was not satisfied, because lead actor Matthew Morrison (aka “Mr. Schu”) had not yet performed. So, on her command, Morrison removed his jacket and initiated an impromptu breakdance competition with co-star Harry Shum Jr. Evidence of the crime after the jump. And please excuse the low quality video — Movieline HQ’ s sophisticated video equipment died out of embarrassment as soon as Oprah cued “Gold Digger.”

Tracy Morgan’s Feud with Stedman, and 6 Other Factoids About the 30 Rock Star

For today’s “Funny People”-themed episode of Oprah , the media empress wrangled three NBC comedians into her studio to make her audience laugh. Tina Fey and Steve Carell entertained the studio by talking about licking stripper poles and humping stages on the set of Date Night (which Oprah endorsed as “laugh-out-loud funny!”). Then the next comedian, Tracy Morgan, took the stage. Only instead of just sharing some knee slappers, the 30 Rock star got gritty when Oprah revealed a school picture of Morgan at the age of six. “Awwwww,” the studio audience cooed. “Yeah,” responded Morgan, “that’s the year my dad left me!” And that was only first bit of knowledge dropped on audience members — the rest, including the subject that made Morgan tear up instantly, after the jump.

United States of Tara Multiple-Personality Smackdown: ‘The Truth Hurts’

Last time we saw Tara , she was cheering up thanks to an Air Supply jam session in her neighbor’s suicide house. She had not told her family that Buck had been hijacking her body to woo a sweet bartender named Pammy (Joey Lauren Adams), hoping her male alter would recede back into her subconscious. But as we learned in last night’s episode, “The Truth Hurts,” Pammy and Buck are not going away anytime soon, and if anyone tries to get between them, Buck, the hardened Vietnam vet who shows his affection by cutting his lady’s toenails and replacing her water jug, will throw down with anyone, including Tara. After the jump, Movieline assesses the damage from last night’s match.

5 Questions Raised by Glee’s Performance at the White House Easter Egg Roll

Every year, you apply for the White House Easter Egg Roll lottery, hoping that you and your child can spend the holiday rubbing elbows with the First Couple as that-year’s-tween-act bops around on a South Lawn stage. How could that not be the most amazing celebration of Jesus’ resurrection ever? That question was rhetorical up until this weekend’s Egg Roll, when the cast of Glee clambered onstage in matching blood-red outfits and stumbled through one of the most disappointing Egg Roll performances of all time (even counting Fergie’s). After the jump, Movieline works through some of the questions raised in this weekend’s mini-concert.

Introducing Evan Lysacek, Actor

As anyone who’s caught Kerri Strug’s softcore erotic thrillers can attest, becoming an Olympic champion doesn’t automatically confer acting chops. Here then, is a delightful exception, a short film that features figure skating gold medalist and Dancing with Stars contender Evan Lysacek as “Vladimir Plushenko” ( certainly not based in any way on his rival, Evgeni Plushenko). As you’ll see, Lysacek ably demonstrates his range, acting in an accent other than his own and a skin color other than his native tangerine. If he could simply fake an orgasm at a level half as convincing as Johnny Weir , we could crown ourselves a new champ. Video, after the jump:
