Emily Maynard: The Next Bachelorette?!

In the aftermath of her breakup with Brad Womack , Emily Maynard is reportedly in talks to become the star of The Bachelorette next season. Emily is “angling for the opportunity,” according to Us , which quotes a source: “She hasn’t officially signed on, but it looks like a done deal.” This would be a first on a number of levels. Not only did she win The Bachelor – ABC’s typical pattern is choosing a runner-up, as Ashley Hebert was to Emily – but it’s a year away. Though the single mom to 6-year-old Ricki has said appearing on the series is “the last thing on my mind,” the insider claims Maynard has other ideas. In addition to boosting her career profile (she’s an aspiring broadcaster,), Maynard seems eager to move on from Womack. Can’t blame her there. “He has issues, and you could tell from the start that it was never going to work with Emily,” another insider says, even though Em “tried her best.” “She gave it everything she had.” We’ll believe this when we see it, but if it is true that she’s actively seeking the starring role … how pissed is Bentley Williams right now!

Michaele Salahi: Stalked, Threatened, Living in Fear

Former White House pest and Bravo reality star Michaele Salahi claims that someone’s been stalking her and making death threats in recent weeks. Her husband, Tareq Salahi, even placed a frantic 911 call for her protection. Maybe the stalker just wanted to see Michaele Salahi in Playboy and is pissed that this is no longer in the cards? We kid. Although you never know. The Salahis say that the threat-maker called the Sheriff’s Dept. in Fauquier County, Va., falsely claiming Tareq broke into a winery co-owned by Tareq’s family. Deputies tell us they found no evidence of a break-in, but were called backwhen Tareq and Michaele found out the call came from the alleged stalker . The Salahis filed a police report and the case is now under investigation. The couple is also seeking to have a protective order put into place ASAP. According to the Salahis, the man has also been tailing Michaele, shooting photos and video and also sending death threats and obscene messages.

Leah Messer and Corey Simms: Inside the Breakup and Battle For the Twins

It’s really over for Leah Messer and Corey Simms . That much has been established at this point. It’s just a question of why, and what will happen to the couple’s poor little twin girls in the aftermath of the split. OK! reports that shaking hands, Leah Messer lit a cigarette to stop herself from crying as she read her husband Corey’s Facebook flirtation with another girl. “I haven’t been this happy in a long time,” the message read. The words broke Leah’s heart, and tears streamed down her face as her friend Kayla tried to comfort her – even though she had already filed for divorce days earlier. Just the same, the Teen Mom 2 star is having a hard time facing the fact that her six-month marriage to Corey, the father of her twins, Ali and Aleeah, is over. The battle between the young couple is about to get uglier, with Corey expected to ask for sole custody, and Corey’s parents prepared to help him financially. Apparently there are “explosive secrets” that will determine who gets the girls, and according to fellow celebrity news magazine In Touch , abuse allegations. We have no doubt this is a messed up situation, but putting Leah on the same cover as Jenelle Evans ? That’s gotta hurt almost as bad as Corey’s Facebooking. [Photos: In Touch Weekly, OK!]

Juvenile Arrested For Marijuana Possession In Louisiana

Rapper was pulled over for speeding on Saturday. By Shawn Adler Juvenile Photo: Gershoff/ Getty Images Rapper Terius Gray, better known as Juvenile, was arrested on Saturday night in Louisiana for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license, according to The Associated Press. The former member of the Hot Boys was reportedly pulled over for going 75 mph in a 65 mph zone. Subsequent to his arrest, Juvenile was released after posting a $750 bond. He has a court date on April 1. The arrest is the latest in a string of legal troubles for the “Drop That Thang” MC, who was arrested twice before on drug charges, once in January 2003 and again in February 2010, both times in Louisiana. Juvenile was also arrested in summer 2002 for assaulting his barber. Juvenile was the focus of unwanted attention in the aftermath of the sudden and violent deaths of his 4-year-old daughter, the girl’s mother, Joy Deleston, and another child at the hands of Deleston’s then 17-year-old son Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. in 2008. The rapper was criticized for choosing not to attend his daughter’s funeral. “You don’t get over things like that. That’s something that goes with you for the rest of your life I’m not even comfortable talking about it. I stayed away from the press, everybody had a million questions,” Juvenile said of his daughter’s death in a 2009 interview. “I’m not even comfortable talking about it.” Related Artists Juvenile

Liam Neeson Speaks Out About Natasha Richardson’s Death

‘The weird thing about grief’ is that ‘you can’t prepare for it,’ actor tells Esquire. By Eric Ditzian Liam Neeson Photo: Pascal Le Segretain/ Getty Images In an emotionally raw new interview with Esquire, Liam Neeson opens up about the sudden 2009 death of his wife, Natasha Richardson , delving into details about the aftermath of her skiing accident and speaking candidly about the grief that still consumes him. Neeson, it seems, didn’t plan on discussing his familial tragedy. “I’m too vulnerable,” he tells the magazine at one point. “I can’t go there.” But go there he does, explicating in great and harrowing detail, for example, the moment when he arrived at a Montreal hospital and struggled to locate his wife. “I’m like, ‘F—, I know my wife’s back there someplace,’ ” he said. “So I get there, just in time. And all these young doctors, who look all of eighteen years of age, they tell me the worst. The worst.” After the funeral, Neeson returned to Canada, where he’d been shooting the sexually charged thriller “Chloe.” “I just think I was still in a bit of shock,” he said. “But it’s kind of a no-brainer to go back to that work. It’s a wee bit of a blur, but I know the tragedy hadn’t just really smacked me yet.” That wouldn’t happen until later, and to hear Neeson tell it, the grief hasn’t yet ebbed, even as he tries to stay busy and keep those emotions at bay. “It’s easy enough to plan jobs, to plan a lot of work. That’s effective. But that’s the weird thing about grief. You can’t prepare for it. You think you’re gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work,” he said. “It hits you in the middle of the night — well, it hits me in the middle of the night. I’m out walking. I’m feeling quite content. And it’s like suddenly, boom. It’s like you’ve just done that in your chest.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .
