Following an  American Idol performance show that displayed two of this season’s best covers to date, another contestant was sent home this week. We knew it wouldn’t be Jena Irene or Alex Preston , not after their vocals on Wednesday, and at least Ryan Seacrest didn’t drag out the drama. These were the first two to move on to the final six. Caleb Johnson then got the green light, with C.J. Harris next and then Sam Woolf moving on. So, it came down to Jessica Meuse and Dexter Roberts and the finalist going home is… DEXTER ROBERTS. Katherine Webb and AJ McCarron: Engaged!

Sorry, fellas. Katherine Webb is off the market. The brunette bombshell announced via Twitter late today that she and former Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron are engaged… to be married! “WE’RE ENGAGEDDD!!!” the 24-year-old former Splash contestant and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition model wrote. Webb – an ex-Miss Alabama who attended Auburn – rose to fame in January 2013 when she was singled out during the BCS Title game by a gushing Brent Musberger . She has turned that shout-out into a spot for Carl’s Jr. and a number of magazine photo spreads. McCarron, meanwhile, is preparing for the NFL draft in May. Here is a look at the engagement ring he presented to his now-fiancee. Man. Imagine if he were making NFL money!

7-Year Old Sells Book, Raises $600,000 for Sick Best Friend

Ready to be inspired, THGers? Dylan Siegel is a seven-year old whose best friend Jonah has tragically been diagnosed with a rare illness called Glycogen Storage Disease Type 1b.  It’s a live disorder that cases very low blood sugar and for which there is no cure. Jonah is one of only 500 kids in the world with the disease and he must be fed through a tube every few hours. Because Dylan describes his friendship with Jonah as “awesome as a chocolate bar,” he has written The Chocolate Bar Book, sold it across the world… and raised over $600,000 for research into the illness. Says Dr. David Weinstein of the Florida lab that is receiving these proceeds: “It is now reality. It’s not just a dream that these children can be cured.” Pretty amazing story, huh? According to a new report, Kanye West may help write a biopic about his life that would star Kim Kardashian in a major role. We cannot verify the accuracy of this information. But we can confirm that the rapper will soon release a concert movie using footage from his “Yeezus” tour, similar to the films made in the past by One Direction and Justin Bieber . “Yeezus film directed by Hype Williams coming to theaters,” Kanye simply wrote as a caption to the following trailer. We kicked off the first American Idol results show of Season 13 with a group sing and a promo for this summer’s tour. Okay, not the strongest opening. But, hey, there are 58 minutes to kill before we find out the initial finalist eliminated, isn’t there? After learning Ben Briley , Alex Preston and Jena Irene are say, Malaya Watson is sent to the Bottom 3. Up next? Dexter Roberts is safe. Majesty Rose and Sam Woolf are as well. But MK Nobilette is off to the Bottom 3. C.J. Harris, Caleb Johnson, Emily Piriz and Jessica Meuse? On to the next round. Kristen O’Conner? To the Bottom 3 – and there you have it.
