T Pain is notorious for rocking some of the most outrageous chains in Hip-Hop from remakes of the Kool-Aid man to an array of bottles of alcohol. While some call it art, we call it a little dumb ridiculous and distracting from those classic auto tuned tracks he’s famous for. We have to give Pain his props however, unlike a number of rappers who’ve had their chains snatched (Hi, Yung Berg!), all of Teddy Pain’s chains are intact…but then again who’d want to steal a Ciroc chain anyway? This guy does. An Alabama man is in police custody and another hospitalized in serious condition after police say his eyes were gouged out with a spoon. Family members arrived home to find a bloodied 79-year-old Bonnie Pogue, and called 911. While paramedics were working on Pogue, and with police officers present, Timayo Knight, 30, made a startling statement. He said he had “plucked his uncle’s eyes out.” Knight was immediately arrested and charged with first-degree assault. A search of the home revealed a bloody spoon on the kitchen table and Pogue’s eyeballs in the trash, according to a statement issued by police. Pogue is in the intensive care unit at USA Medical Center in Mobile, AL, where he is listed in serious condition. What the hell??? Source
Despite the cameo, it was Hines Ward who won over the judges with his rumba. By Kelley L. Carter John Travolta, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley on “Dancing With the Stars” Photo: ABC Even the help of swift-footed John Travolta couldn’t get Kirstie Alley more points from the judges on Monday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Alley’s “Look Who’s Talking” co-star appeared in a pre-taped segment as her “Dance Doctor.” The actress and her partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, have been grabbing headlines the last few weeks with their dancing mishaps, and Travolta, who has swiveled his hips in films like “Pulp Fiction,” “Grease” and “Saturday Night Fever,” gave his friend a few pointers, joking in the segment that Alley should wear gym shoes instead of high heels. Still, the comedic bit wasn’t enough to bolster a higher score. The two earned 23 points out of 30 (only one point better than the week before), putting them ahead of three couples, who each earned 22 points. Here’s how the others fared: Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: The football star soared to the top of the leaderboard with his rumba to “God Bless the U.S.A.” “You make it look so easy,” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. “You have the best hip action I have seen in a long time.” Score: 27/30. Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas: Last week’s critical darlings maintained a high position with a samba done to Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” Score: 26/30. Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke: The judges loved the wrestler’s interpretation of the Viennese waltz to “America the Beautiful.” “I feel like we’ve underestimated you,” Inaba told him. Head judge Len Goodman gave him 8 points. Score: 26/30. Romeo and Chelsie Hightower: The two performed a foxtrot to “New York, New York,” and impressed the judges with the improvement in Romeo’s posture and arm movements. Score: 26/30. Kendra Wilkinson and Louis Van Amstel : The former playmate and reality star danced a foxtrot to “Yankee Doodle,” and the judges said she’s improving. “It’s much better than last week,” Goodman told her. “It was fun and it was entertaining.” Still, it wasn’t enough to keep them out of the bottom three. Score: 22/30. Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin: The supermodel and her partner quick-stepped to Elvis’ “Viva Las Vegas,” but judges were none too impressed. They liked that she handled the fast pace of the performance but said that this was far from her best dance. Score: 22/30. Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff: Once the early darlings of this season, they’ve dropped to a three-way tie for the lowest score this week. Their samba to “Sweet Home Alabama” did little to convince the judges that they should be contenders for the title this season. Goodman said the main problem is that Macchio isn’t consistent enough and needs more rhythm. Score: 22/30. Who was your favorite couple this week? Who should go home? Sound off in the comments! A band of fast-moving storms brought reports of more than one hundred possible tornadoes across the South on Saturday, toppling trees, snapping power lines and bringing the two-day death toll to 17. Emergency crews in Georgia, Mississippi and Alabama worked to assess the damage as the storm system moved north into the Carolinas and southern Virginia, according to the National Weather Service. Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley declared a state of emergency Friday after reports of tornado touchdowns in at least six counties. Three people were also killed in Autauga County after fallen trees crashed into mobile homes in the area, police said. Some of the death toll reads as follows: Three deaths in Washington County were reported, said Yasamie August, spokeswoman for the Alabama Emergency Management Agency. Two other deaths were previously reported in Oklahoma and seven in Arkansas. In Greene County, Mississippi, one death and six injuries were reported, officials said. And if that wasn’t bad enough… Rescue crews found a 34-year-old woman in bed with her 7-year-old, whom she had apparently come to comfort during the overnight storm, said Little Rock Fire Department Capt. Randy Davenport. The two were killed when a giant oak tree fell on the home, Davenport said. An 18-month-old child in another bedroom survived. Source

RPattz will appear with ‘Water for Elephants’ co-star Reese Witherspoon at April 3 show. By Gil Kaufman Robert Pattinson Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Robert Pattinson isn’t following in the footsteps of fellow thespian Gwyneth Paltrow and going country. Though the “Twilight” star has dabbled in music, he’s only expected to hand out the hardware, not pick up a guitar, at the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas on April 3. According to People magazine, Pattinson will appear with his “Water for Elephants” co-star Reese Witherspoon as a presenter at the show, which will air on CBS. The onscreen couple will appear alongside hosts Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton, along with other presenters Nancy O’Dell and Ryan Seacrest. Among the performers on the broadcast will be Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band with James Taylor, Alabama, Ronnie Dunn, Sara Evans, Martina McBride and the Entertainer of the Year nominees: Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban. Pattinson is used to sharing the stage with his “Twilight” co-star Kristen Stewart, but he seems perfectly comfortable with Nashville native Witherspoon as well. “It felt like it was kind of magical in many ways, because we were out in the desert shooting,” he said of the shoot for “Elephants” with Witherspoon . “There was nothing from the modern world around. It was a different experience for me. It wasn’t in a studio or anything.” He might also press her for tips on appealing to the country crowd, something Reese knows plenty about thanks to her Academy Award win for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic “Walk the Line.” How do you think RPattz will do in the country-music world? Shady Records rapper talks to ‘RapFix Live’ on Thursday (March 10). By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway Yelawolf Photo: MTV News Most young artists dream about life on the road, touring and rubbing shoulders with stars backstage. But for Yelawolf, that was an existence he experienced early in his life. His mother, who he describes as “super rock and roll,” dated a stage designer, and soon her son found himself meeting Ted Nugent, REO Speedwagon and Randy Travis, among others. “I definitely saw pieces of this life early,” Yela told “RapFix Live” on Thursday (March 10). That authenticity is what still powers the upstart Alabama rapper. His video for “Pop the Trunk” personifies his gritty appeal. He recruited his actual parents and hometown friends to star in the clip. “We took a camera to Gadsden, my hometown, and we shot this video with no script,” he explained. “I went to the locations that I was talking about and I got the people that I was talking about to play themselves.” Recently, Yelawolf aligned his talents with Eminem, inking a deal to join his Shady Records . The move bolstered the label’s roster, as he was also joined by underground supergroup Slaughterhouse. The move re-ignites the collective that’s also home to 50 Cent and D-12. “It’s a huge deal being able to have a mentor in someone who’s done this for so long and been through so much,” Yelawolf said of joining the team. “And also artistically, just pushing me to be better. Being around them dudes will make you better naturally. So, we’re excited, man.” Share your comments about Yelawolf below! Related Videos ‘RapFix Live’ With Yelawolf Related Artists YelaWolf
Shady Records rapper also tells MTV News’ ‘RapFix Live’ that Em got him to curb his drinking. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway When Yelawolf first met his new boss, Eminem, the meeting couldn’t have been more casual. “He said, ‘What’s up? I’m Marshall,’ ” Yelawolf recalled to MTV News on Thursday’s (March 10) “RapFix Live.” The meeting obviously went well: Yela is the latest recruit to Em’s Shady Records empire , along with Slaughterhouse (Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Oritz and Royce Da 5’9″.) Yela and Em talked in Detroit after producer Jim Jonsin and Eminem’s manager urged the rapper to listen to the upstart’s music . They shared similarities in their upbringing, and the partnership paid off immediately when the Grammy-winning superstar bestowed the young lyricist with advice, according to Yela. “I’m a drinker; I drink a lot,” he explained. “My management was concerned about some advice he could give me about slowing down so I don’t get caught up in that life. He told me if it gets to the point where you need a drink before you go onstage, like you require that to function, is when you need to check yourself. And honestly, that’s where I was at that point. And I’ve changed. I don’t drink before I perform anymore.” The Alabama rapper will stick knock back a beer, but he’s given up overdoing it before shows. Now, he says, he’s enjoying himself more and his confidence has grown. And that courage helped when he first played Eminem his debut album. “I’m super excited about the music and fully confident that it’s jamming,” he said. “I was a little nervous, but after we broke the ice and really chopped it up, he seemed excited about it. So that makes me twice as excited now.” What do you think of Yelawolf’s music? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos ‘RapFix Live’ With Yelawolf Related Artists YelaWolf Eminem
