Once Upon a Time Season 6 Promo: It’s Aladdin!

Once Upon a Time producers Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis didn’t just tease Once Upon a Time Season 6 at today’s Comic-Con panel discussion in San Diego. They actually provided a look at the first three minutes of the season premiere! The footage focuses on two characters new to the ABC series, but very familiar to Disney viewers. The first is Aladdin, who will be played by Deniz Akdeniz and who appears to be in pretty terrible shape when we first meet him. The second is Jafar, who will be played by Oded Fehr and who appears to have gotten the best of Aladdin (to this point) in the Once Upon a Time version of these characters. Jafar is taunting the famous “savior” below, mocking his status as a hero and saying things never turn out well for heroes. They never get their “happily ever after,” which, of course, is a theme throughout Once Upon a Time. The reveal of Aladdin and Jafar arrives on the heels of a string of other Season 6 castings, such as: Giles Matthey (24: Live Another Day) as Morpheus. Craig Horner (Hindsight) as the Count of Monte Cristo. There will also be the returns of Cinderella/Ashley (portrayed by Jessy Schram) and Dr. Archie Hopper (Raphael Sbarge). You can watch Once Upon a Time online via our friends at TV Fanatic and you can check out the first three minutes of the Season 6 opener below. It will premiere on Sunday, September 25 at 8/7c.

Orange is the New Black Season 4 Reviews: The Best Season Yet?!

Weather forecasts are showing balmy temperatures and cloudless skies across most of the country this weekend, but if you’re the type who bursts into flames after ten minutes of sunshine, fear not: You now have a perfectly good excuse for staying inside all weekend, as critics are saying Orange is the New Black Season 4 , which dropped on Netflix at midnight, may be the show’s strongest outing to date. The 13-episode run currently holds an astonishing 100% on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, and for the many fans who fear the show veered too deep into sitcom territory last season, the critics offer assurances that Season 4 is as dark as it is brilliant. Check out some of the reviews below: ” Orange is a thing unto itself, and based on the brilliant fourth season, it’s sturdy enough to hold up for years to come.” – Joshua Alston, AV Club “For a show that has always played on themes of privilege and power, this season’s dark trajectory is as inevitable as it is haunting.” – Bethonie Butler, Washington Post View Slideshow: Orange is the New Black Cast: Before They Were Stars… “While this fourth chapter in the saga of Litchfield Penitentiary gets off to a bumpier start than usual, it ends on such powerful notes that if you’ve ever been a fan, you simply have to view all 13 episodes.” – Jen Chaney, New York Magazine “I would say that if you love Orange Is The New Black , you’re going to be pleased with the way the new season unfolds. If you’re more skeptical of its ongoing strength, you may feel, as I did, that some of the show’s irritating habits have increased.” – Ken Tucker, Yahoo! Orange is the New Black Season 4 Trailer: New Blood, New Rules “Based on the first six episodes of the 4th season, OITNB remains fresh, funny/sad, smart, inventive, well-written, and particularly well-acted.” – Verne Gay, Newsday “Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black is better than ever in its dark, dauntless fourth chapter.” – Isaac Feldberg, Boston Globe ” There might be new stories to tell, but on Orange, just like in Litchfield, the OGs still rule.” – Melissa Maerz, Entertainment Weekly “This ambitious mix of comedy and drama is about to get more ambitious. A complex show is about to get more complex. An acclaimed series is about to earn more acclaim.” – Mark Dawidziak, Cleveland Plain Dealer So binge away, children. The sun will be there next weekend, right?

Anthony Kiedis Saves a Baby’s Life During Carpool Karaoke

Earlier this week, Red Hot Chili Peppers fans were treated to 15 minutes of song, anecdotes and man wrestling when the band participated in a round of “Carpool Karaoke” with James Corden. But what we didn't see was the part where Anthony Kiedis saved a baby's life. The front man became a hero during filming, right after a dance-off that was edited out of the final version. In an interview with the UK's Radio X, Kiedis recounts the story: “We had a very interesting unscripted moment. We danced-off, we tied and then we were going to celebrate with some Mexican food on the corner. “And a woman came out of her house holding a child, saying 'my baby, my baby, my baby can't breathe!' “We all ran across the street. The lady thrust the baby into my arms. The baby was not breathing.”  Kiedis, who is a father, instinctively tried CPR to try and get the infant breathing again. “I thought, 'I'm going to try and do a little baby CPR real quick to see if I can get some air into this kid.  “I tried to open the mouth. Shut – locked shut.  “So I started rubbing the belly, bubbles started coming out of the mouth, the eyes rolled back into place.  “The ambulance showed up and I handed the baby over who was breathing and fine.” Pretty incredible. Okay, we totally now forgive him for that mustache. Last month, Kiedis was rushed to the hospital just hours before taking the stage at a concert in Los Angeles, forcing the band to cancel their appearance. It turned out to be inflammation in the gut, which was complicated by a stomach virus and scar tissue. Luckily, Kiedis and the baby seem to be doing fine now.
