Jay Z was later spotted grabbing a meal at trendy sushi spot Gjelina in Venice Beach, Calif. The power couples have been spotted hanging out together on occasion, despite rumors that surfaced last fall claiming that Kardashian and Beyonce were at odds with one another. “That report is absurd,” a source close to Beyonce told Us Weekly, referring to a story that Beyonce had confronted Kardashian at the Budweiser Made in America festival in September. “There’s absolutely no beef.” In fact, another pal told Us earlier this month, Kardashian “really looks up to Beyonce,” who debuted an impressive physique just months after having baby Blue Ivy. “Congratulations Kim & Kanye,” Beyonce wrote on her Tumblr just two days after North West’s birth, alongside a photo of Kardashian and West looking happy together. “Enjoy this beautiful moment together.” Awww isn’t that special? WTF?!?! Florida Man Killed By SWAT After Taking Hostages In An Apartment Complex Via NYDailyNews A gunman holding hostages inside a South Florida apartment complex killed six people before being shot to death by a SWAT team that stormed the building early Saturday following an hours-long standoff, police said. Sgt. Eddie Rodriguez told The Associated Press that police got a call around 6:30 p.m. Friday that shots had been fired in a building with dozens of apartments in Hialeah, just a few miles north of Miami. Rodriguez said that when police arrived, they discovered an active shooter situation: “He’s inside the building, moving from floor to floor. Eventually he barricades himself in an apartment.” A crisis team was able to briefly establish communication with the man. Rodriguez said negotiators and a SWAT team tried talking with him from the other side of the door of an apartment unit where he was holding two hostages. But Rodriguez said the talks eventually “just fell apart.” Officers stormed the building, fatally shooting the gunman in an exchange of gunfire. “They made the decision to go in there and save and rescue the hostages,” Rodriguez said. Both hostages survived. Rodriguez said he didn’t have any information on how long negotiations lasted. If we didn’t know any better we’d say the mental health of people in America is rapidly deteriorating… He said police discovered two people, a male and female, shot to death in the hallway in front of one unit. Three more, a male and two females, were found shot and killed in another apartment on a different floor. Another man who was walking his children into an apartment across the street also was killed. Rodriguez said it wasn’t immediately clear whether the gunman took aim at him from an upper-level balcony or if he was hit by a stray bullet. Zulima Niebles said police told her that three of her family members were among the victims. She said her sister Merly Sophia Niebles, her sister’s husband, and her sister’s daughter Priscila Perez, 16, were all shot and killed. A Letter to the Broken Hearted As I have sat and listened to debate after debate, in depth analysis and tempered opinions on “The Verdict” I couldn’t help but feel helpless, frustrated, hurt and yes, angry. As I plummet into the labyrinth of my mind in search of answers, solutions, or a way I could help subdue the burning desire for things to change, my only recourse was to start writing. Presume we step back and take pause for a moment. Pause to take a cultural and personal inventory on where we have come as a people. As oppose to being blinded by the present emotional and economical condition of our nation, our community. What if we begin by acknowledging some of the triumphs, rather than becoming consumed solely by the injustice? I ask these questions for one reason being, that if I reflect and remember just how far we’ve come, instead of sitting and stewing over what has happened, I am now ensuring that I am not going to allow this “Decision” to stifle me as a human being nor as a black man in America. It may seem quite pretentious and easy to hear coming from my heart. However, I assure you I experience the same profiling and discrimination daily regardless of what I happen to do for a living. We must recognize that if we allow this particular ‘lost battle’ in the continuing war, that is ‘Race In America,’ to take us backwards, we will be backtracking and negating the progress that we have already made to date. The former Weeds star – who will next be seen in Red 2 and R.I.P.D . – told News Corp Australia that she’s “really not into” acting anymore due to the endless stream of hatred on the Internet. “The world has gotten too mean for me, it’s just too b—-y,” Parker said . “All the websites and all the blogging and all the people giving their opinion and their hatred … it’s all so mean-spirited, it’s all so critical.” Parker isn’t sure what inspires these users, but she can theorize. “It’s sport for people,” she said. “It’s fun to get on at night and unleash their own self-loathing by attacking someone else who they think has a happier life – or something.” The actress (who looks REALLY good naked ) said she tries to stay away from the comments or to brush them off, but it’s difficult. “You have no idea until it happens to you. It doesn’t feel nice,” she said. “I stay away from it as best I can because I’m too thin-skinned, but still it finds you.” And if Parker does drop out of the business? What might she do? “I would write still. I write for Esquire and writing makes me happy. I would take care of my kids and my goats. That’s about it. Bake. Throw my Internet in the lake.”
