By Jocelyn Vena Kim Kardashian in Marie Claire Photo: Marie Claire In the two weeks since Kim Kardashian took over the entertainment news cycle with the announcement of her divorce from Kris Humphries , the reality starlet has maintained a relatively low profile, emerging this week only to thank her fans on her blog. But Kardashian will appear on the cover of the December issue of Marie Claire and opened up to the magazine about her then-married life in an interview conducted before the headline-making news broke. “I’m not worried about him at all. We have a lot of trust, and I don’t think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy,” the cover girl told the mag, out November 22. “He’s such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it’s such a reality check. He is a normal guy, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time. He gets it. Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I’ve gotta do.” The interview is full of pre-divorce praise for Humphries. “It’s fun to have a partner who understands your life and lets you be you,” Kim said about her soon-to-be-ex-husband. “I feel like where we’re at right now is the best time in my life.” The wedding itself netted as many headlines as the divorce, resulting in a four-hour-long E! special covering the event. “I felt like if I didn’t show the wedding, it would be upsetting for people who have taken this journey with me,” she said about her decision to film all the fuss leading up to the lavish ceremony and reception. Regarding rumors that the wedding cost in excess of $20 million, she said, “I don’t talk about money.” Next up, fans will get to see the marriage strife experienced by Kim and Kris in the next season of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” which airs later this month on her home network. “We’ll just be who we are, and — love it or hate it — we have each other. ‘Dancing With The Stars’: David Arquette Gets Cut

By Kara Warner Kym Johnson and David Arquette Photo: ABC The field of competing couples on the 13th season of “Dancing With The Stars” was trimmed down to five Tuesday night after David Arquette and partner Kym Johnson were eliminated from the show. Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus, who were the other couple in the bottom two, got to keep their dancing shoes for another go next week. “This has to be a mistake!” Arquette joked when his name was called. “This is my show! I love all the people I got to know and dance with. This whole production is top-notch, and thank you to all the fans!” “I’m going to take a lot away from this experience,” Arquette said in his goodbye video. ” ‘DWTS’ was an experience of a lifetime. You learn things about yourself you never thought possible.” The latest elimination show was as packed with headlining performers as ever. Teen king Justin Bieber kicked off the show with a lively performance of his hit “Never Say Never” and later returned to the dance floor with Boyz II Men to perform their Christmas collaboration “Fa La La” from his just-released holiday album, Under the Mistletoe. Bieber and the Boyz weren’t the only artists to take the “DWTS” stage Tuesday night: Rising star Christina Perri sang “Arms,” while 17-year-old ballerina and cancer survivor Victoria-Rose Viren performed a moving duet in front of Perri. Other fun performances included the encore dance of the night, the honors for which went to Team Paso Doble (Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian and Hope Solo), who reprised their “powerful” dance to Evanescence’s “Wake Me Up Inside.” Seasoned pro Derek Hough also performed a fun routine with fellow pro Allison Holker. Heading into the eighth week of competition, Lake and Hough are sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard, followed closely by fan favorite J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff, “dark horse” Rob Kardashian and partner Cheryl Burke, and Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Were you surprised to see David go? First, there was the announcement, followed by the fan reactions and support from the Kardashian siblings . Now, there’s a lawsuit . That’s right: Concerned citizen/comedian/defender of the sanctity of marriage Rob Delaney explained his logic to MTV News thusly: “I’m suing Kim Kardashian and Ryan Seacrest and E! Entertainment Television and Comcast for perpetrating what we now know to be a hoax, their marriage,” he told MTV News on Tuesday. “It can’t be real. I want them to stay married. I want them to stick it out, so as an incentive, I am suing them for monetary damages — but only $18 million, not a lot. That’s just what she was paid for the wedding episodes themselves.” Delaney said the idea for the lawsuit has been brewing ever since he started seeing advertisements for Kardashian and Humphries’ wedding special on various billboards around Los Angeles. “I would drive to work every day, and I would see the billboards for the wedding, and they were offensive to me, because they weren’t normal billboards; they were these super billboards, where they add extra stuff on and make them larger than normal,” he said. “They’re on these super billboards with them getting ready to get married like it was some royal wedding, and then for them to immediately try and dissolve it 72 days later — they renewed their vows on ‘Ellen’ at day 60! What happened in those 12 days? It must have been bad.” Delaney said he thinks the newlyweds-no-more should make a serious attempt to work out their differences. “I will say, as someone who is married, that you are going to go through periods where you hate your spouse for 12 days — longer,” he said. That’s like a blip, and then you recover, and you figure it out together and figure out what the problem was and you grow, and these things that seem insurmountable and awful, you realize they made you stronger. “I want Kim to be happy,” Delaney insisted. “I don’t hate her. She’s a person who deserves happiness, but you have to fight and work for it. As a married man and a dad and an American, I want to make her reconsider. I don’t want the money. On Thursday (October 27), it was announced that Mary J Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, Florence and the Machine and Jessie J will serve as the star-studded lineup for the long-running concert event, which airs December 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on VH1. This year, VH1 is paying tribute to prominent birthplaces of soul music, including Chicago, Detroit, London, Memphis and Philadelphia. Blige and company are expected to pay homage to these cities and the genre through their own soulful tracks as well as some of the genre’s classic tunes onstage at New York’s iconic Hammerstein Ballroom. And it’s not just women who are in on the celebration, but also the Roots, who have been confirmed as the event’s house band. ?uestlove is set to pull double-duty during the concert as musical director too. In a press release for the ceremony, VH1’s Lee Rolontz shared his thoughts on the 2011 theme. “This year’s telecast will showcase the vast impact soul music has had on the 21st century’s music and pop culture landscape as our talented and diverse lineup will attest,” he said. “This year’s Divas offers a modern twist on soul music, all while tipping its hat to the legacy of key cities that created this musical heritage.” Additional announcements regarding even more performers, presenters and special guests are to be expected in the coming weeks. Clarkson took to Twitter shortly after the announcement to share her excitement. “Super stoked to announce that I am performing at #VH1DIVAS!!” the songstress tweeted. “VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul” marks the former “American Idol” alum’s second appearance on the series. Zachary Quinto ‘Grateful’ For Support After Coming Out

‘Star Trek’ actor tells MTV News the response has been ‘enormously supportive — universally, unanimously supportive.’ By Eric Ditzian Zachary Quinto Photo: MTV News Since Zachary Quinto pronounced himself a “gay man” in a New York magazine interview and then took to his blog to pen an explanation about his decision to come out, the “Star Trek” actor has been overwhelmed by the positive response across the Web. “It’s been enormously supportive — universally, unanimously supportive,” he told MTV News on Monday morning (October 17) while promoting his Wall Street drama “Margin Call.” “I’m really grateful for that.” Quinto explained that the recent suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer, a young teen who was the victim of gay bullying, made him realize that he could no longer live a gay life without acknowledging in public that he was, in fact, gay. From the timelines of Twitter to the comments section on his blog, the response to his announcement has been supportive. “I admire your courage for looking inside yourself and realizing what kind of real power you have for making a difference,” one commenter on his blog wrote. While the actor has been an outspoken advocate on gay issues in the past, recording an “It Gets Better” video last fall, Quinto told us he’s now looking forward to diving more fully into the ever-evolving conversation about teen sexuality and bullying. “I feel like I made that declaration so that I can be a part of this conversation moving forward,” he told us. “I did it in my own time, on my own terms, in my own words. That’s exactly the way that I wanted to do it, and I’m really proud of that. When the time is right to continue the conversation forward, I certainly will do that. That’s why I took those steps in the first place.”

Zachary Quinto Comes Out as Gay

It’s long been suspected, but former Heroes star Zachary Quinto made the announcement this week: he’s gay. Coming off a performance on stage in Angels in America – playing a character who abandons his AIDS-stricken boyfriend – Quinto spoke to New York Magazine this week and said the off-Broadway play was “the most challenging thing I’ve ever done as an actor, and the most rewarding,” adding: “At the same time, as a gay man, it made me feel like there’s still so much work to be done, and there’s still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed.” Quinto will next be seen on the FX drama American Horror Story . ‘Die Hard 5’ Gets A Title: ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’

On Wednesday (October 12), Fox announced that the fifth entry in the series will be called “A Good Day to Die Hard” and is set for release on February 14, 2013. As Bruce Willis told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz while promoting “Cop Out” last year, the next adventure for McClane takes him international. According to the announcement, McClane heads to Russia to find his son, who has found himself in trouble. The role has yet to be cast, but the search has begun for a young actor to play the action icon’s son. “A Good Day to Die Hard” begins shoot this January under director John Moore of “Max Payne” and the “Omen” remake. Willis confirmed to MTV News last October that the script by Skip Woods was finished and undergoing some rewrites, saying that it was “probably going to happen.” Aside from what was mentioned in the initial announcement, little else is known about the plot or cast. “The Thing” star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who played McClane’s daughter Lucy in “Live Free and Die Hard,” recently told IndieWire that she didn’t think she would appear in the fifth entry. “I’m assuming I will not be [in that] because I have not heard anything,” Winstead said. After weeks of is-she-or-isn’t-she speculation, a source close to Jessica’s 32-year-old and fiancé Eric Johnson revealed: “It’s still early in the pregnancy, and Jessica has decided to wait before sharing her happiness with her fans. “But she has begun telling family and friends the exciting news.” Johnson’s father, Stephen, was coy when contacted about the pregnancy. “I haven’t heard anything,” Stephen said. “Is she pregnant?
