Authorities said Arman Izadi’s crimes are brutal and vicious and they have all been hidden behind the facade of the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip. Suddenly an undercover cop approaches the both of them and demands to see what Xstrav is drinking. X shows him that its an Arizona Half And Half Ice Tea, the undercover demands that he hands it over so that he can read the ingredients. Once Xstrav denies handing over his can the cop tells him to leave the property for trespassing. Out of nowhere an actual drunken stranger walks up starts giving shout outs and smelling like liquor…OBVIOUSLY drunk and he is just ignored and walks away without incident. Then the cop tells X to put his hands behind his back so X gets arrested for trespassing. This is just a classic case of a cop taking advantage of his power and arresting a another black man for not doing things the way HE wanted him to do them. Mom Beats Up Son’s Drug Dealer According to River Front Times “She did what any good mother would do.” So says the attorney of Sherrie Gavan, a 54-year-old Jefferson County mother who was convicted this week of third-degree assault for attacking a 22-year-old man with a baseball bat. What was her motive? She said the man was her son’s drug dealer — and had contributed to his drug addiction. Her explanation, however, apparently did not convince a jury the way she hoped it would. Check out her firsthand account of the incident below. Here’s a Post-Dispatch interview in which Gavan explains the events leading up to the assault. “My mother’s instinct took over,” she told the paper. “I was scared. I was paranoid. I did not know what was going on.” The confrontation occurred, she said, after she had warned Joshua Loyd, the 22-year-old who had apparently done drugs with Gavan’s son, now nineteen, to stay away. But Assistant Jefferson County Prosecutor Jacob Costello made the argument to jurors that she broke the law, regardless of the circumstances, the P-D reports. “This case is not about whether Mrs. Gavan is a good parent. You can’t take matters into your own hands like that…. She made a choice to pull out the baseball bat.” The mother told the paper, “I don’t know what happens from here. Lil’ Reese do better man. Rapper Lil Reese Arrested According to The Chicago Tribune South Side rapper Lil Reese was caught sleeping in a car early Sunday and arrested on a warrant. The arrest warrant was issued Friday in Champaign County for Lil Reese, 20, whose birth name is Tavares Taylor. He was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 4400 block of South Wells Street after a police officer on patrol saw him sleeping in a vehicle, according to Cook County court documents. Taylor has risen to prominence in recent years as a pillar of Chicago’s “drill” rap scene. He is part of local rap luminary Chief Keef’s Glory Boyz Entertainment clique and has a deal with Def Jam Recordings, a label whose clients include Rihanna and Ludacris. The arrest warrant issued Thursday is connected to charges of criminal trespass to a residence with persons present, mob action and battery that allegedly took place in February 2012, according to the Champaign County Circuit Clerk’s website and Cook County court documents. Officials at the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office would not give further information about the charges Sunday, saying they could not comment because Taylor is not in their custody. Taylor was being held in lieu of a $100,000 bail Sunday. He pleaded guilty to burglary charges in May 2010 and received two years of probation, according to Cook County court documents. He was stopped April 13 in the 6600 block of South Wentworth Avenue in Chicago and charged with driving without insurance, no driver’s license and not signaling, according to court documents. He sparked outrage in October after video footage purportedly of him beating a young woman went viral. The grainy video taken with a camera phone reportedly shows rapper Lil Reese attacking the unidentified woman. It was posted on various hip-hop websites and angered thousands on Twitter. The video, which lasts a little more than a minute, shows a man entering a residence and arguing with a young woman. The two then get into a physical altercation. Man Kills Brother At Wake According to Mail Online A man has today been charged with murdering his younger brother while at a wake for their other sibling. Mark Hayes, 52, is accused of fatally stabbing 48-year-old Sean Hayes following the funeral of their brother Tom. The brothers are thought to have become embroiled in a furious argument in the early hours of Saturday morning. Neighbors heard screams from an end-of-terrace house in Eltham, south east London, where Mark lives with his 49-year-old wife Carla. Police and paramedics were called to reports of a stabbing in the early hours. Sean Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem gave cause of death as a stab wound to the chest and abdomen. Father-of-three Mark Hayes was arrested on suspicion of murder. Another man, aged 23, was arrested on suspicion of assault following a separate incident at the house. He was taken to a south London police station and has since been bailed. A third man, aged 48, was arrested on Saturday afternoon on suspicion of violent disorder. He was taken to a south London police station and has since been bailed to return, pending further inquiries. A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘Mark Hayes has been charged with the murder of Shaun Hayes, aged 48, on Saturday. ‘He will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday.’ One neighbour told the Sun: ‘I heard this massive commotion outside. A woman was screaming her lungs out and within minutes the police arrived. Another Friday night, another alcoholic actor arrested… Jeffrey Wright Arrested For DWI According to TMZ reports : Veteran character actor Jeffrey Wright was arrested in NYC early Saturday morning for DWI … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that cops pulled Wright over in a Toyota Tacoma at around 3:00 AM ET for an unknown traffic violation. We’re told when cops spoke with Wright, they detected an odor of alcohol and administered a field sobriety test. After Wright did poorly on that, he was arrested and booked for DWI. Wright has appeared in almost too many movies to name, but will next be seen by most of the free world in “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” Phone a friend, catch a cab, sleep wherever you are, but for the love of God don’t drive! Well this is good news … According to Fox Business: The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits fell last week, offering reassurance that the bottom is not falling out of the labor market despite signs of slower growth. Initial claims for state unemployment benefits dropped 16,000 to a seasonally adjusted 339,000 the Labor Department said on Thursday. The prior week’s number was revised to show 3,000 more applications than previously reported. Analysts had expected 351,000 new claims last week. A Labor Department analyst said there was nothing unusual in the data and no states had estimated their claims. The report runs counter to several weeks of signals that economic activity has softened over the last two months, a phenomena economists have dubbed the spring swoon because it also happened in the previous two years. The four-week moving average for new claims, a less volatile measure of labor market trends, fell 4,500 to 357,500. That could help to further ease concerns of a deterioration in labor market conditions after nonfarm payrolls posted their smallest increase in nine months in March. However, claims around this time of the year are difficult to adjust for seasonal swings, so analysts will be cautious about extrapolating too much from today’s data. Economists expect the government next week will report that employers hired 145,000 people in April. Employers added 88,000 workers to their payrolls last month after a solid 268,000 increase in February. It was unclear whether there was any impact in the claims data from a brief shutdown of offices in Boston area last week as police hunted for a man suspected of helping plant bombs at the Boston Marathon. Natural Lite beer can opened in the driver door. “Officer also detected the odor of burnt cannabis emitting from the interior of the vehicle. “A search of the vehicle revealed two bags containing approximately 2 grams of suspected cannabis… inside the center of the ashtray. Suspect admitted to the possession of the cannabis, stating that it was for personal use.” Jamaican-born Lakhan was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor possession.
