If you watched Vanderpump Rules Season 3 Episode 15 last night, then you know it ended with a cliffhanger. Yes, after a few false starts, Scheana and Shay tied the knot, but we all knew that was gonna happen. What we really wanna know is – does psycho Kristen go crazy and ruin the reception? Fortunately, we have Jax Taylor to answer that question, and we all know how much he sucks at keeping secrets! Jax Taylor on Kristen Doute: She’s Crazy! Asked by OK! magazine if Kristen pulls a Kristen and makes the whole event all about her insane drama, Jax pretty much answers just as you would expect him to: “She’s crazy, she’s crazy,” Jax answers without hesitation. “The one day you ask her not to screw anything up.” Naturally, the topic of the countless Jax Taylor gay rumors came up also, and while in the past, Taylor has vehemently denied that he ever sampled the sausage, this simply got all flustered and dodged the question. There’s no shame in it, bruh! Another revelation that is actually something of a surprise – when asked if Tom Sandoval cheated on Ariana (as Jax has been claiming all season), Jax’s answer is… “I don’t know!” Then why have you been saying it all season, Jax? Having a hard time finding a job? You’re not alone. On Christmas Eve the New York Times ran an alarming story about the high rates of unemployment for black college graduates compared to their white counterparts. Even more shocking — black college grads are struggling WORSE than white drop outs! Among recent graduates ages 22 to 27, the jobless rate for blacks last year was 12.4 percent versus 4.9 percent for whites, said John Schmitt, a senior economist at the Center for Economic and Policy Research. While there has always been a gap between black and white college grads, this 7.5 percentage point difference was far greater than before the recession burned through the economy. In 2007, for example, there was only a 1.4 percentage point difference, with 4.6 percent of recent black graduates out of work compared with 3.2 percent of similarly educated whites. In fact, the unemployment rate in 2013 was lower among whites who never finished high school (9.7 percent) than it was for blacks with some college education (10.5 percent). Black graduates are suffering from a version of last hired, first fired, William A Darity Jr., an economist at Duke University said. The effects of discrimination are blunted when the work force is expanding, but in harder times minorities are much more vulnerable, he said. A new report from the Century Foundation found that regardless of education, age or job, blacks continue to be almost twice as likely as whites to be unemployed. Scary stuff right? One of the comments that Schmitt made in the article that also struck a chord with us was that the U.S. hasn’t experienced this kind of pattern since the early 1980’s recession… It says a lot that black grads are suffering like this even as the unemployment rates are improving. Former Hercules star Kevin Sorbo unleashed a Herculean rant on Facebook about the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, following the death of Michael Brown. “Ferguson riots have very little to do with the shooting of the young man,” Kevin begins, positing, “It is an excuse to be the losers these animals truly are.” Certainly cuts to the chase. The 55-year-old actor and oustpoken conservative, said the Ferguson unrest signifies “a tipping point to frustration built up over years of not trying.” Instead of working to improve their lot in life, Sorbo believes, the people protesting in the city are “blaming everyone else, The Man, for their failures.” Then he adds this barb: “Hopefully this is a reminder to African Americans (I always thought we just Americans. Oh, well.) that the President [they] voted in has only made things worse for them, not better.” Sorbo then shared on his Facebook page an article from the Jewish World Review about Ferguson, entitled, “Media Clueless About the Inner City.” This piece also opines that the death of Michael Brown is just the tip of the iceberg here, but lays the blame at the feet of the media as well as protestors. “Want the riots to end in Ferguson?” asks the author. “Ban the media who are nothing more than agitators promoting the circus environment and inciting outsiders to join in the frenzy.” “Don´t forget the media putting out the cop’s name , photo and home information. I hear he is forced to leave the community by this – victimized a second time!” “The media promotes chaos to boost pathetic ratings.
