Christina Milian Talks Marriage To The-Dream, Infidelities

‘I’ve been to hell and back, but I survived,’ she says of her divorce from the singer/songwriter. By Jayson Rodriguez Christina Milian Photo: Getty Images While The-Dream has spoken out about his split from wife Christina Milian, saying he considered suicide after their separation, the “Dip It Low” star has remained quiet. Now, however, Milian has shared her feelings about the divorce in an interview with Latina magazine. The Cuban-American entertainer also touched on adultery allegations against The-Dream, with whom she has a daughter, Violet. “No matter what, you can’t change who you are. I know that now. I tried to be someone I wasn’t because I wanted my marriage to work. But ultimately, if it’s not working, it’s not working,” she explained. “I didn’t know anything,” Milian added about cheating rumors involving her songwriting ex-husband. The-Dream and his assistant were photographed in intimate photos on what appeared to be a vacation while he was still married to Milian. “But looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it.” Last summer, The-Dream wrote a blog post on his site, shared his feelings about the end of his marriage. “I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know,” he wrote in July. “I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that!” Just five months before that revelation, he and Milian had welcomed daughter Violet , Christina’s first child. The couple appeared to be in wedded bliss, but later jointly announced they had been separated for some time , and the pair eventually divorced. “I learned a lot about myself this year,” Milian told the magazine about the ordeal. “I learned what I can handle. I learned how much I can take. I learned who I am and what I will accept for myself and my daughter.” Up next, she said she’ll focus on Violet but didn’t talk specifically about resuming her career. “I feel brand-new,” she said. “I’ve been to hell and back, but I survived. I’m stronger for it and now I’m ready for the next phase of my life.” Related Photos Before They Got Hitched: The-Dream & Christina Milian Related Artists Christina Milian

Lindsay Lohan Reportedly Released From Rehab

Dina Lohan confirms Lindsay’s release to E! News, saying, ‘It’s a great day.’ By MTV News staff Lindsay Lohan (file) Photo: Mark Ralston/ Getty Images It appears that Lindsay Lohan has been released from her four-month stint in rehab. According to E! News , Lohan’s mom, Dina, confirmed her daughter’s release from the Betty Ford Center, adding: “It’s a great day.” MTV News reached out to Lohan’s rep for an official statement but did not receive a response by press time. Lohan’s sixth stint in rehab came after she voluntarily entered the Ford Center in late September following an admission that she’d failed a court-mandated drug test. It was preceded by a 14-hour trip to jail — the same one she’d exited in August for violating her probation. That was followed by 23 days in court-ordered rehab. Despite being dropped from her one upcoming film project, “Inferno,” the problem-plagued star has plans to expand her 6126 fashion line. Lohan also recently posted a hopeful message on Twitter on New Year’s Day, writing, “Today is the first day of the rest of my life,” and then quoted spiritual icon Mahatma Ghandi’s message that, “The future depends on what we do in the present.” Her sometimes-estranged father, Michael, told CBS News that his daughter is doing “unbelievably” well. “She’s turned this whole situation around to use this to her advantage and she has taken the right steps and put the right people back in her life that she had at the best part of her life to really use it as a springboard,” Lohan said. Chris Brown Drops ‘Look At Me Now,’ Featuring Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes

Singer posts a link to new song on Twitter, also announcing that he hopes to turn next album into a double disc. By Jayson Rodriguez Chris Brown Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage It seems that Chris Brown fares better when he posts musical messages on Twitter. The embattled singer tweeted a link to followers with his latest song, “Look at Me Now,” featuring Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes . The number will appear on Brown’s forthcoming project, F.A.M.E., which he also revealed he hopes to turn into a double disc; the second side would be titled Fortune. “I’m tryna make F.A.M.E album a double disc!! But not too expensive,” Brown tweeted on Saturday. “The other disc will be called FORTUNE!!! I just got too many damn songs.” “Look at Me Now” is a rollicking, off-kilter club jam, on which Brown spits more than he rhymes. “Yellow model chick, yellow bottle sipping, yellow Lamborghini, yellow top missing,” he flows over the sparse track. “Yeah, yeah, that sh– look like a toupee/ I did what you did in 10 years in two days.” A couple of days before Brown released his new song, he and former B2K member Raz-B got into it on Twitter , after Raz tweeted about Brown’s assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown apologized for his comments , which derailed from disses to homophobic slurs. “Yesterday was an unfortunate lack in judgment sparked by public Twitter attacks from Raz-B, who was bent on getting attention,” Brown said. “Words cannot begin to express how sorry and frustrated I am over what transpired publicly on Twitter. I have learned over the past few years to not condone or represent acts of violence against anyone.” This isn’t the first time Brown has made controversial remarks on his Twitter page , which he canceled in December 2009 only to return the following year. Nas Talks Lost Tapes Vol. 2, Label Issues

The rapper says he may release the rarities collection later this year as part of a deluxe version of his next studio album. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Rahman Dukes Nas Photo: MTV News Nas’ anticipated The Lost Tapes: Vol. 2 could be fans’ gain and current label Def Jam’s loss. The rapper revealed that he intends to release the project as part of a special-edition version of his next album, due out later this year. “Because I kind of lost time, I really wanted to release [the album] in December,” Nas told MTV News just before the holidays. “But I’m starting my next album. So I feel like I’ll probably give The Lost Tapes as a deluxe, maybe, on the next album for free. I’m trying to figure that out now.” In October, Nas allegedly blasted his recording home after the company reportedly bungled the release of The Lost Tapes project, which is a collection of unreleased gems from the gifted MC that skew toward his more poetic side. An e-mail message from the Queens rapper sent to executives at Def Jam was obtained by a blog and posted online. In the note, Nas expressed frustration over what he characterized as his label’s lack of activity surrounding the project; the first volume was a critically acclaimed collection issued in 2002 that included material left off of his studio albums after the songs were pirated. “You don’t get another Nas recording that doesn’t count against my deal … PERIOD!” Nas wrote at the time . “Keep your bullsh– $200,000 fund. Open the REAL budget. This is a New York pioneer’s ALBUM, there ain’t many of us. I am ready to drop in the 4th quarter. You don’t even have sh– coming out! Stop being your own worst enemy. Let’s get money!” Now, however, Nas says he’s not sure which label would release his next album. “It’s not safe to say that it’s gonna be on Def Jam,” he told MTV News. “You know, news at 11. We coming with the information on that soon.” Would you be interested in buying Nas’ Lost Tapes Vol. 2 as part of a deluxe package with his next album? Tell us in the comments. Related Artists Nas

Lady Gaga To Unveil Polaroid ‘Grey Label’ Project At CES

Pop star’s collaboration with the instant-camera maker will be revealed Thursday. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images Nearly a year ago, when Lady Gaga announced that she had signed on as a creative director with Polaroid, the singer told fans she’d already begun work on a series of “prototypes in the vein of fashion/technology/photography innovation.” This Thursday, we’ll finally get to see the fruits of her labor. That’s when Polaroid will unveil their so-called “Grey Label,” the end result of — as the company puts it in a statement — “a collaboration between two of the most influential icons of our time: Polaroid and Lady Gaga.” The launch will happen at the massive Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, but little monsters can also watch it unfold live on Polaroid.com at 3:30 p.m. PT. Of course, it’s not exactly clear what Polaroid’s Grey Label will actually entail (the former instant-camera giant says it will be “the next generation instant experience”), but there’s already a fancy website dedicated to the project, complete with a clock counting down to the big reveal. Gaga isn’t speaking about the project either (she’s probably too busy unveiling pertinent information about her upcoming Born This Way album — and her backside — on Twitter, but in April, she held a creative meeting with Polaroid in Tokyo, in which she apparently wowed her new corporate partners with her ideas. “It’s very clear from our first few sessions that she is a creative tour-de-force, and a key player on the Polaroid team. … The partnership is all channeling Lady Gaga’s fashion sense to create innovative products with her fans in mind,” a post on Polaroid’s website read last year. “The collaboration will deliver new products that mix the best of ‘instant’ with digital era multi-media.

Before she made the announcement official, she teased her Twitter followers with lyrics from Born This Way, writing, “I’m beautiful in my way, ’cause God makes no mistakes/ I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way/ Don’t hide yourself in regret, just love yourself and you’re set/ I’m on the right track, baby, I was born this way.” This could be another stellar year for Gaga. Justin Bieber: A Roundup Of The Year’s Fan Frenzies

The star’s appearances brought hysteria to malls, airports in 2010. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber in New Zealand in April Photo: Splash News Justin Bieber caused quite a frenzy in 2010. Everywhere he went, Bieber Fever quickly ensued, proving that the singer can hype up teenage girls anywhere he goes. It’s worth noting that Bieber’s hysteria-inducing appearances didn’t begin in 2010. He had one very historic mall appearance in 2009 whose consequences played out throughout this year. Back in November 2009, just as he was really taking off, in Long Island after crowds began to get out of control. Months later, in March 2010, Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, was arrested in connection with the incident. He pleaded not guilty when police decided that he had not properly controlled the crowd . Bieber stood by his manager , launching the “Free Scooter” campaign. In February, the star was in Europe playing shows and doing press for his My World 2.0 album. While in Paris Bieber had to cancel an in-store appearance when the crowd began to get out of hand, swarming the store where Bieber was meeting with fans. He later apologized. Bieber was in Sydney, Australia , in April when he was set to appear on the Aussie talk show “Sunrise.” The show’s producers were forced to pull the plug early on in the appearance after audience members began to get injured when fans rushed the stage. Just a day later in New Zealand, Bieber was greeted by throngs of fans when he touched down at Auckland International Airport. Bieber later commented on the overzealous fan greeting , noting that someone stole his hat and knocked his mom down. He tweeted, “I don’t condone thievery!!” after the fans returned the hat to the star. In September, during a stop at Hooters in Canada, Bieber was greeted by a number of excited fans . The star handled the fans well, serenading them and somehow keeping them at bay. That brings us to the Boxing Day incident on Sunday. When Bieber decided to indulge in some post-holiday shopping in Canada, hundreds of fans decided to follow the star all over the mall. Needless to say, the manager at the Sunglass Hut, asked to close down the store for his arrival, was not pleased by the attention. Is T-Pain Signing To Young Money?

According to a jeweler who just crafted a Nappy Boy/ Young Money piece, T-Pain is heading to the hitmaking crew. By Mawuse Ziegbe T-Pain Photo: Raymond Boyd/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images Will the king of Auto-Tune soon rock some Young Money-approved jewels? Judging by the footage of some bling that recently hit the Web, T-Pain may be the newest member of Wayne’s crew. In a video that surfaced online Thursday (December 30), jeweler Gabriel Jacobs , who has created rock-laden pieces for Birdman, 50 Cent and more, shows off a hefty ruby-and-black-diamond-studded piece in the shape of the New York Yankees-inspired Young Money logo that also features what appear to be tiny Nappy Boy insignias (the mark of Pain’s label) along the sides. Jacobs says in the clip that he crafted the king-size ice, which he says costs about $40,000 alone and almost $100,000 with the chain, because Pain is signing with Weezy’s camp. A rep for T-Pain did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment at press time. A T-Pain move to Young Money would continue the Auto-Tune crooner’s longstanding musical relationship with Weezy. Wayne and T-Pain have already charted together with collabos like Weezy’s Tha Carter III single “Got Money” and Pain’s Thr33 Ringz cut “Can’t Believe It,” which both dropped in 2008. The dreadlocked duo have also maintained that they plan to put out a joint album, an effort Pain told MTV News in March was temporarily thwarted by Weezy’s eight-month prison bid. “The T-Wayne album, we’re actually gonna wait until he gets out,” Pain said about Weezy’s jail time . “He has so much going on. He has Rebirth out right now. I don’t wanna interrupt that. We just gonna wait until he gets out to really get in on that. We recorded a bunch of songs. But, right now, it’s time for him and his personal sh–. We definitely got an album’s worth of material, but it’s only an album’s worth. It’s nothing to pick from. We just got an album. We can put out whatever we feel like and say, ‘Hey, this is T-Wayne’s album,’ or we can actually try to make it good. Like we’re actually trying to make an album and say, ‘This is the good T-Wayne album.’ Rather than just record 12 songs and say, ‘Here you go, mutha—-as! I know you want it. You gonna buy it anyway, just ’cause you think it’s good.’ ” For Wayne’s part, the MC has said that the collabo-friendly stars “both have the same energy” when he explained their similarities to MTV News in 2008 . “I don’t sleep. If you ask anybody, I don’t sleep. I think it’s the cousin of death. As much as you sleep, you’re impersonating death to me. He don’t sleep. I play all day. He plays all day and all night. The connection is crazy,” he said. “He loves to be creative, he loves to work; I love to create, I love to work. He really wants people to respect his rapping; I really want people to respect my harmonizing.” Do you think T-Pain should sign with Young Money? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists T-Pain
