Jonah Hill Calls Russell Brand Kiss At MTV Movie Awards ‘Hormone-Filled’

‘Get Him to the Greek’ star claims their smooch was ‘way better’ than Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson’s. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jonah Hill & Russell Brand kiss at the MTV Movie Awards Photo: Picture Group Continuing the “great kisses” coverage from Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards , we turn to the special surprise smooch between Russell Brand and Jonah Hill. Not to be outdone by the saucy lady-on-lady kiss between Generation Award honoree Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson , the “Get Him to the Greek” duo carved out their own replay-worthy moment when the Kiss Cam panned to them seated side-by-side in the audience. To quote stuffy-actor speak, Hill and Brand completely “committed to the moment” with their spontaneous, handsy make-out. When MTV News caught up with Hill backstage, the funnyman first complimented the efforts of fellow kissers Bullock and Johansson. “I thought it was great,” Hill said. “I thought Russell and I’s kiss was way better. … It was graphic and hormone-filled and just real. “We didn’t plan that out,” he revealed. “Everyone was like, ‘When did you guys decide to do that?’ And we were like, Russell literally said, they were doing the ‘kiss-me cam’ or whatever and I was like, ‘They’re about to turn the camera on us — what should we do?’ And then he was like, ‘Let’s just do it,’ so we just effing went for it. “It was great,” he said of kissing Brand. “I kiss him in ‘Get Him to the Greek,’ so it’s now become our M.O.” What do you think of Brand and Hill’s chemistry? How did their kiss compare to Scarlett Johansson and Sandra Bullock’s? Sound off in the comments below! Ice Cube Says ‘Put Your Money On’ L.A. Lakers In NBA Finals

The West Coast MC and superfan roots for the purple-and-gold, gripes about unreliable refs. By Shaheem Reid Ice Cube Photo: MTV News Legendary West Coast mic enforcer Ice Cube is excited that the NBA Finals are upon us, but he feels that there may be something shady going on to make sure the Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics series is extended as far as it can go. MTV News recently talked ball with Cube, and he insisted his beloved Lake show are the superior team, but the Cs may have some help from the boys-in-stripes, making some shady rulings inevitable during game play. “It’s gonna take [NBA Commissioner] David Stern to stop telling these refs how to ref these games,” Cube said, when asked what he thought it would take for the Lakers to repeat as NBA Champions. “I don’t know if they telling them how to ref these games, but it’s just ridiculous sometimes when I see these refs making sure that the series is extended. Games are leaned towards this team or that team. Every year is the same old dance. Everybody can pick two or three games where you knew the league had their hand in it.” True to Cube’s gripes, there were several questionable calls made during Game 2 of the finals Sunday night at the Staples Center, home of the Lakers. Even the team has had their complaints in the past about the finals officiating. Despite the refs’ calls, Cube said he felt confident his team will triumph over Boston, just like they did over the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals. “What about the Celtics?” Cube asked with a grin. “They can’t beat us four times without help either. They need help from the refs too. Did you see Game 2, when we played them in the finals that year [2008]? Game 2 was ridiculous. Ridiculous! It’s the same thing. It ain’t about the series. It’s about ‘Will it go to Game 6 or Game 7?’ That’s all the league care about.” Still, Cube said it’s purple-and-gold — all the way. “You sound like you got some doubt,” he said like the superfan he is. “Let me put that to rest. We got the team to win it all this year. Put your money on the Lakers.” The Lakers and Celtics play Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night. Who are you rooting for in the NBA Finals? Drake, Usher Heat Up Summer Jam, But DJ Khaled Steals The Show

Trey Songz, Juelz Santana, Gucci Mane, Reflection Eternal and Fabolous also deliver at Hot 97’s annual fest. By Shaheem Reid Drake performs during Hot 97 Summer Jam on June 6 Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage One of the most anticipated moments of Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert on Sunday night was one that was unadvertised, though all the fans felt it was a forgone conclusion: the reunion of the New York rap giants the Diplomats. Juelz Santana was on the bill with his first solo set, but instead of bringing out his the members of his unit, he brought out the youngest member of the G-Unit, Lloyd Banks. They made for one of the strongest moments of the night with their smash “Beamer, Benz or Bentley.” But what happened to the Dip’s reunion? One source close to their camp said Jim Jones had some issues with security and police and was not granted entrance in the new Giants Stadium. Freekey Zekey and Cam’ron came out later in the night as part of DJ Khaled’s show-stealing set. Hot 97 advertised that Khaled would be bringing out “friends,” and no one knew what to expect. Well, if you follow the Miami multi-tasking, up-and-coming mogul, you would have to suspect that he’d bring out Rick Ross. The two down-bottom mayors are thicker than Starsky and Hutch. Plus, Ross and Khaled did interviews together on Hot 97 earlier in the day. Khaled’s set started with his “All I Do Is Win” remix. Rolling deeper than two football teams, Khaled paraded out T-Pain (who sang the hook) and Busta Rhymes, who unleashed one of the most stylistically bulletproof verses of the year. Ross and Ludacris took the spotlight over on the “I’m So Hood” remix, and Busta regained the reins on his fresh new bopper “Stop the Party.” Rick Ross saluted the playas with “Super High” then continued with the “Angels” remix and his new club stomper “Blowin’ Money Fast (B.M.F.).”

Snoop Dogg, Ciara, David Beckham Drop Into ‘Star Wars’ Cantina For World Cup Ad

Noel Gallagher, Daft Punk and actor Jay Baruchel also mingle with aliens for Adidas commercial. By Gil Kaufman Snoop Dogg launches the Adidas Originals X Star Wars Collection in New York City Photo: Neilson Barnard/ Getty Images The Mos Eisley Cantina has always been a supremely freaky place to hang out. The dusty bar featured in the original “Star Wars” movie was populated with a universe of oddballs, from triangle-headed Hem Dazon, to four-eyed Muftak, fish faced Greedo, fly-like Ponda Baba and long-necked Hammerhead. But things get even weirder in a new Adidas ad timed to coincide with the upcoming kick-off of soccer’s World Cup. In the new ad, a universe of famous faces mixes in with the misfits jamming out to the music of Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes. Fitting right in, French techno duo Daft Punk are the first modern touches, strolling into the fray wearing their signature silver-and-gold space helmets and black jumpsuits, pushing past R2D2 and C3-PO as they enter the bar. Among the first faces they spot, chilling in a booth just behind Hammerhead, are former Stone Roses singer Ian Brown and his pal, Oasis co-founder Noel Gallagher, who looked bemused to be hanging out with creatures who party harder than they do. The ad makes use of the original footage, including the bit where weary-faced human bartender Wuher grumbles, “Hey, we don’t serve their kind here,” a barb intended for the two droids, though it could just as well refer to the Daft Punk duo. “Your droids, they’ll have to wait outside.” After the Punkers look R2 and 3PO up and down, 3PO says, “I heartily agree with you sir.” Actor Jay Baruchel (“She’s Out of My League”) is then spotted, hanging out and joking with some aliens before the Daft Punks sit down with Han Solo to discuss some business. Their conversation is interrupted, however, when Snoop Dogg waltzes in and snaps his fingers at the bartender. He demands a drink, as Ciara chills across the bar with a pal. When Ponda Baba gives the Doggfather some attitude, the rapper snaps, “What’s your problem?” Mush-faced surgeon Dr. Cornelius Evazan then utters his famous line, “He doesn’t like you.” “I don’t like him,” Snoop snaps back, before Obi-Wan Kenobi counsels the doctor, “This little one’s not worth the effort.” “I don’t like you either,” the not-so-good doctor replies. “Well, I don’t like you either, fool!” Snoop says, before taking out his light saber and slicing off Ponda’s arm, which nets Baruchel a blaster that he clearly doesn’t know how to handle safely. Finally, injured soccer star David Beckham makes his grand entrance, taking the place of Solo and coming face-to-face with a pistol-packing Greedo, who demands to know when he will play again. “Jabba wants to make you an offer to play for his team,” Greedo says, before he’s accidentally blasted by a butter-fingered Baruchel. Beckham walks away, hands held up, saying, “It wasn’t me.” What do you think of this star-studded “Star Wars” spoof? Do you have other favorite World Cup ads? Talk about it in the comments. Raekwon Says His New Mixtape Is ‘Just Raw Product’

‘I still feel I’m in that same zone as far as rhyming,’ the Chef tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Raekwon Photo: Universal This Week’s Main Pick Street King : Raekwon Holding It Down For : ICE H20 Records Mixtape : Cocainism Vol. 2 Real Spit : As Raekwon prepares for his Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang LP to drop later this year, the Chef said he wanted to stay in the fans’ faces. “For me it’s like being on the street — you hustling,” he said about being active in the mixtape circuit. “You come out and you know it’s a thousand people on the block doing their thing. You gotta get in where you fit in. I might come out with a couple of extra jams just to get my name out — like, yo, give a couple of friends something for free, just to let ’em know. ‘It’s over here. Taste that. Taste that! Taste that and let me know how you feel. Get back at me.’ I think that’s the same rules that apply to the mixtape situation. “The title is something I thought about for a minute,” he added. “Just coming off the Cuban Linx 2 project, I still feel I’m in that same zone as far as rhyming. So I decided to come with Cocainism. It’s just raw product, B — raw product. Anything I give to the world, I just want it to be something that n—as will be like, ‘Yo, that sh– is raw.’ So that’s the word of the day. I asked my crew, like, ‘How y’all feel about the word?’ They was like, ‘It’s typical Rae slang.’ They felt it was groovy.” Joints To Check For “Alphabet Soup.” “I got this joint called ‘Alphabet Soup,’ ” Rae said. “I was inspired by making this record by checking out my man Papoose. I think this is probably something he did way back when his career started. To me, that made me like him a lot more. He was challenging different things. I wanted to do something from A to Z so we called it ‘Alphabet Soup’ because every letter, we came with words pertaining to that letter. If I said ‘A,’ I would say, ‘Attacking a–holes/ Assassinate ’em with mad holes …’ Everything was pertaining to that letter. I felt that concept was something good to bug out on the mixtape.” “City of God.” “It’s me back in my ‘Champion’ era,” The Chef explained. “It’s me rhyming a lot of strong lyrical content. When you think of a New York MC such as myself, you know what we talking about. So, yeah, I’m feeling that rhyme. That beat is underground. It’s nothing you gonna say is a commercial record. It’s me getting busy on the mic. I got inspired by the movie [‘City of God’]. Seeing the young n—as in certain situations where they growing up poor. It reminds me of my era — we ain’t get on, we was finding out a way where we could get on. Where we could make something happen.” “Ms. Sincere.” “We’re talking about a broad,” the Staten Island vet said. “The beat behind us is going, ‘Wuu-wuuuu.’ I don’t know, I been hearing a lot of slow sh– with the ‘Wu’ sound in the background. I’m like, ‘It must be meant to be.’ It’s a slow record; it’s kinda of, like, in a story mode. I’m talking crazy, the beat is crazy; I’m just having fun.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines or follow the Mixtape Daily team on Twitter: @shaheemreid and @mongosladenyc .

Christina Aguilera Gets Steamy At 2010 MTV Movie Awards

Singer heats up stage with medley of songs from forthcoming Bionic LP. By James Montgomery Christina Aguilera performs at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Christopher Polk/Getty Images Christina Aguilera got futuristic, funky and downright freaky at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, performing a supercharged medley of songs from her forthcoming Bionic album — which comes out Tuesday — that hit hard and probably got millions of people all hot and bothered. She kicked things off sitting down in a gilded throne, decked out in a diamond-encrusted one-piece, looking very much like a 23rd-century queen, and began rapping the opening lines of the title track from her album. She then descended to the stage and, surrounded by a crew of leather-clad dancers began throwing punches while laser blasts resounded through the audience (bonus points for the Iron Man-esque light pods she wore on the palms of her hands.) After a bit more strutting, Aguilera’s dancers surrounded her, and the electronic thump of first single “Not Myself Tonight” blared loud and proud. As steam poured from the stage, Xtina belted out the chorus, getting low and singing for the rafters. “Tonight” segued directly into “Woohoo,” minus Nikki Minaj on this night. But that didn’t stop Christina from upping the heat even more, breaking into a seriously sexy dance number that was made only more hot by the fact that her dancers were now wearing glowing red hearts on their crotches. Not to be outdone, Agulera ended things by standing tall at center stage, the camera zooming in on her midsection, which now bore a beating heart of its own. The celeb-packed audience roared their approval, and Aguilera bounded off the stage — presumably to go take a nice long, cold shower. Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ Video — Catch A Sneak Peek!

Summer-jam clip is sweet : Snoop Dogg, cupcake bikini tops, candy-cane trees and more. By James Montgomery Katy Perry in “California Gurls” Photo: Capitol Katy Perry better be careful … all that frosting isn’t safe for the summer months. Yes, ever since she debuted “California Gurls” — with a Tweet that declared “SUMMER STARTS NOW!” — we’ve been waiting for Perry to reveal the video for the song. Something we assumed would be beachy, breezy and beautiful. Boy, we couldn’t have been more wrong. On Sunday (June 6), during the pre-show of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards , we got our first look at the “California Gurls” vid (the full-length version is scheduled to premiere June 15 on MTV), and, wow … there’s a whole lot of confectionary in the clip. The preview opens with Snoop Dogg guiding a miniaturized version of Katy through what looks very much like a version of the “Candy Land” board game, complete with gingerbread walkways, marshmallow clouds and candy-cane trees. Perry wanders about scooping up sweets while Snoop looks on from above. Oh, and then there’s the dance sequence, which sees Perry and a troop of candy-colored dancers performing moves while wearing little more than daisy dukes cutoffs (hey, just like in the song!) and bikini tops made out of cupcakes. Yeah, it’s pretty sweet, though, we’re not sure baked goods are exactly beach-approved. At the end of the preview, we see Perry wearing another bikini top, this one equipped with a pair of cannons that launch frosting at the camera. (Perhaps she’s channeling her inner Murakami .) Seriously, the 15th can’t come soon enough — it’s going to be a long, hot summer indeed! What do you think of this peek at Katy’s “California Gurls” video? Tell us in the comments!
