Vanity Fair magazine has released its annual Hollywood issue, profiling a dozen or so up-and-coming actresses, and – just like every other year – all the actresses of any color were pushed to the side. Literally. The cover is tri-fold, featuring one “power” panel – the one you’ll actually see on newsstands – and two foldout panels. Rooney Mara (of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo ), Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain landed the coveted “power” panel. Black actress Adepero Oduye (of Pariah ) is featured on the second foldout alongside Elizabeth Olsen (the third famous sister) and Shailene Woodley. And finally, on the last foldout is Mission: Impossible star Paula Patton next to Felicity Jones, Lily Collins and Brit Marling. The magazine has done this almost every year. In the past, Zoe Saldana, Rashida Jones, Rosario Dawson, Kerry Washington, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Angela Bassett, Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and Don Cheadle have all been pushed “to the right” so as not to be seen on newsstands, probably in hopes that a “white-washed” cover will result in more sales. See ‘em all here. Silm and Baby appeared in court this week, to Face a lawsuit from a woman Claiming Cash Money Records was responsible for her getting raped. A College Park woman is asking a judge to make a recording company responsible for an assault committed by one of its employees. Nicole Westmoreland claims she was supposed to be given an opportunity to make a business presentation, but instead she says she was “exposed to illegal drugs and explicit sexual activity” before the act took place. “I was followed into the bathroom, forced inside and I was raped,” Westmoreland said. She identified Alfred Cleveland as the man who committed the assault. He told authorities when they took him into custody that he worked for Cash Money Records. The criminal case has already been handled through a negotiated plea. Cleveland got jail time. Attorney Charles Hodges has a civil lawsuit pending against the record company on behalf of the young woman. Westmoreland claims she was offered $100,000 not to go to police, which she refused. She said the company threatened her life if she refused to drop the case. “That if I didn’t drop it that they were going to kill me,” said Westmoreland in court on Tuesday. Record company lawyer Jim Cox refuted that claim. The defense denies that Cleveland was an employee of that company; they claim he was a friend. “I believe that Brian Williams and Ronald Williams had to know that the rapist was dangerous,” Westmoreland testified. A 15-year-old was sentenced to 85 years in prison for killing and sexually assaulting his teacher at a Maryland youth facility, MyFoxDC reported. Brian Wonsom pleaded guilty on Friday to killing his teacher Hannah Wheeling with a cinder block when he was 13. “It’s a tremendous tragedy,” Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks said. “And there’s no answer for why a 13-year-old boy is capable, would be capable, of killing and raping in the manner that he did, but we are now satisfied that we have removed the threat from our community. It is sad on so many levels.” Court records show that Wonsom also pleaded guilty to a second violent attack that originally was not made public. Wonsom was being held at Cheltenham Youth Facility, which serves youth awaiting trial or court disposition, after his mother found stolen items in his possession. Wheeling’s bloody body was found outside a cottage on February 18, 2010. Additional evidence, including a bloody sweatshirt with matching DNA to the victim, was found by state police investigators under a stairwell. The name inside the sweatshirt read “Brian Wonsom, ” the report said. DNA matching Wonsom was found on a lanyard that was used in the attack. Prosecutors believe Wonsom is a sociopath who would need decades of intensive therapy before anyone would think it was prudent to allow him to walk the streets again, the report said. In court Friday, prosecutors showed evidence of the teen trying to kill another woman before attacking his teacher at the facility in 2010. The boy is also a prime suspect in an attempted murder case. Prosecutors say the 13-year-old entered a woman’s apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door and stabbed her several times before she screamed and he ran off. Investigators connected Wonsom to the crime through fingerprints found on a knife, MyFoxDC reported. Prosecutors say doctors who examined the teen found him to be sane, but wicked. “Oh yeah, completely without being mentally ill,” Prosecutor Wes Adams said. “He exhibited no remorse, childhood onset anti-social personality disorder. That’s not criminally insane, that’s dangerous.” Why he chose to attack Wheeling is still unclear. Since there is parole in Maryland, Wonsom will be eligible to apply in his mid-to-late 50s. It’s an emotional moment for the housewives, and it’s hard to watch these strong women broken down by their ex-men who aren’t active in their children’s lives. There’s a first time for everything. Lindsay Lohan not only passed muster at her probation hearing today, she did so with flying colors, earning praise from the judge who has reamed her out in the past. A very surprised Judge Stephanie Sautner began by saying at her hearing today, “Miss Lohan, you have actually done your work.” That she has, and then some … The judge noted that Lindsay completed her community service early and even went to an extra therapy session – five instead of the mandated four – since last time. Sautner said the Los Angeles County morgue was pleased by the work Lindsay has done there over the past month, or “at least as pleased as a morgue can be.” Her supervisor at the morgue has said he has been blown away, in fact, calling her work “stellar,” and saying she’s “a delight to work with and hard working.” Lohan gets props for turning it around, but so do Sautner and her attorney Shawn Holley, who set up a rigid structure – something LL’s parents never provided. A lucky audience got a glimpse at director’s nearly seven-minute clip, in which Bane proves as fearsome as Batman fans have hoped. Pictures LOS ANGELES — If you happened to be in or around the IMAX theater at Universal City Walk Thursday night, there’s a decent chance you may have been privy to the collective fangasm (some shock and awe) generated by the lucky audience invited to screen the prologue for Christopher Nolan’s third Batman movie, “The Dark Knight Rises.” Nolan was on hand himself to introduce the nearly seven-minute clip, which he described as, basically, the opening sequence, with a few out-of-order bonus shots thrown in at the end. The director also emphasized his love for IMAX technology, explaining that even though it was probably developed before he was born, it is “far and away the best imaging format created,” and it’s one that allows fans to experience the grandeur of old Hollywood films, which Nolan said is “slowly being chipped away.” At the special screening, he encouraged fans to seek out official IMAX screens for a fully immersive experience when “Rises” opens next summer, but not to inquire about the plot of the film. “I’ve barely started to edit, so don’t ask me about the ending,” he joked just before the lights in the theater dimmed. In the interest of preserving the mystery of the movie, Warner Bros. politely asked journalists in attendance to refrain from giving blow-by-blow reactions, a request MTV News is happy to heed. What we can say is that the action in the opening sequence occurs mostly on a plane and that it features several high-flying, mind-blowing special effects of the practical, not the CG, variety. The sequence seems to pick up right where “The Dark Knight” leaves off — Gotham District Attorney Harvey Dent’s funeral — and, most important, features one of the more memorable character introductions we’ve seen of late as viewers got the first look at Tom Hardy in action as Bane, complete with creepy leather face mask. There are government agents, military personnel and civilians involved in the setup, but it’s all eyes on Bane. And if what we see him say and do in the first few minutes is representative of his villainous arc in the full-length feature, it’s clear that Nolan is venturing into more ominous territory in “Rises.” Where Heath Ledger’s unforgettable Joker was dark, twisted and almost whimsically crazy, Hardy’s Bane is a horrific, maniacal force. That’s apparent whenever the camera locks onto his eyes or when he speaks for the first time, revealing a garbled, aggressive German accent. Bane will no doubt prove a formidable force to be reckoned with, and we can’t help but anticipate his first meeting with Batman. Speaking of Batman, the caped crusader, played of course by Christian Bale, makes his first appearance in a few quick clips at the very end, along with new additions Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) and cop John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky has been arrested on nine new child abuse charges, courtesy of two new accusers who were not named in the Grand Jury report that originally indicted Sandusky on 40 counts of inappropriate sexual behavior. The disgraced ex-coach was handcuffed and removed from his home earlier today. “As in many of the other cases identified to date, the contact with Sandusky allegedly fit a pattern of ‘grooming’ victims,” Attorney General officials say. “Beginning with outings to football games and gifts; they later included physical contact that escalated to sexual assaults.” The two alleged victims were each under the of 12 when they met Sandusky and have told authorities his actions with them included: hugging, rubbing, cuddling, wrestling, oral sex and sexual assaults that took place in a pool and jacuzzi in a hotel near the Penn State campus. Sandusky is being held in a county jail and his bail has been set at $250,000. He recently spoke to The New York Times and claimed he never performed sexual acts with children.
