From Daily Mail : “A Miami swingers club has been ordered to pay nearly $900,000 after it used photos of models clad in bikinis and lingerie without permission to advertise sex parties and partner-swapping. A jury in Florida federal court agreed Monday that Miami Velvet must pay a total of $892,500 to the 32 professional models whose images were used in the exclusive club’s fliers, social media accounts and on its website, according to the Miami Herald. Miami Velvet is one of the city’s most famous swingers clubs, and allows group sex to occur on its premises. Several of the models who featured in their ads are well known, including Joanna Krupa, who appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘The Real Housewives of Miami’.” According to the site, Krupa was awarded $65,000 in the case. “…while jurors sided with the models, the money awarded to them was far lower than the collective sum of $5.3million which the models were seeking,” Daily Mail continues. “The lawyer for Miami Velvet acknowledged that his clients were responsible for stealing the photographs but argued that the models were demanding too much money.” While it isn’t the sum they were all looking for, Krupa has a baby on the way and an extra $65K can’t hurt!

An unidentified California man has died and the state and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is making a major push to warn society of the dangers of this newfound past time. California will launch a $20 million ad campaign to warn against the dangers of vaping, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Monday, the same day health officials said a 40-year-old had died over the weekend from complications related to using e-cigarettes. The CDC’s Emergency Operations Center is investigating over 380 cases of lung disease related to e-cigarettes in order to determine how these products are affecting people’s health. Governor Gavin Newsom is looking to put a cramp in vaping’s potentially fatal style via taxes and other policies that protect children from malignant marketing. As for flavored e-cigarettes, “they should be banned,” Newsom said, adding he could not add that parameter to his order, though he didn’t explain why. “Let’s just dispense with any niceties,” he said. “You don’t have any bubblegum-flavored, mango-flavored tobacco products unless you’re trying to target an audience that you were losing — that’s young people.” What do you think? We do know, however, that it will be alright regardless… because NBC Universal just dropped some truly incredible news: We’re about to be Saved By the Bell once again! The company made this announcement on Tuesday morning, confirming that an updated version of this memorable sitcom will help anchor its new streaming service, which will somehow be called “Peacock.” The reboot will reportedly star Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, who dated throughout most of the original seres as their respective characters, A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano. In a truly amazing official logline, NBC says that Mark-Paul Gosselaar’s iconic character, Zack Morris, has gone on to become the govenror of California. This is what the synopsis says: When California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the highest performing schools in the state — including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the over privileged Bayside kids a much needed and hilarious dose of reality. Does this mean Gosselaar could make an appearance? You never know — but he’s currently signed on to star as a lead on ABC’s new series Mixed-ish, having just come off Fox’s The Passage, which followed roles on the programs Nobodies and Pitch. Gosselaar has enjoyed a very strong career since Saved By the Bell went off the air. Conversely, Berkley made headlines way back in 1995 for starring as a stripper in the movie Showgirls. She’s done very little since. Lopez, who has hosted Extra and Access Hollywood, among other television shows, hasn’t acted in ages — but did recently stir up controversy for some homophobic remarks . As for other original cast members? Tiffani Thiessen has gone on to a strong career and is unlikely to want to reprise the role of Kelly Kapowski, while Dustin Diamond is now best known for having starred in a sex tape and for getting arrested a lot . And Lark Voorhies appears to have some mental problems . Saved by the Bell originally aired on NBC from 1989 to 1993. It cented on on a group of friends as they navigated life at Bayside High School and the cast included: Berkley (as Jessie Spano), Lopez (as A.C Slater), Gosselaar (as Zack Morris), Thiessen (as Kelly Kapowski), Voorhies (as Lisa Turtle), Diamond (as Screech) and Dennis Haskins (as principal Mr. Belding). An eventual movie was made of the sitcom, along with a very brief run of the Saturday morning series as a primetime show where Zack, Slater and company went to the same college. It didn’t exactly fare very well. And yet, in the wake of this revival news and in honor of Berkley’s Spano during her addiction to caffeine pills: We’re not even scared. We’re just SO excited!
After months of legal wrangling, the fate of Joe Giudice will soon be decided. Giudice has been held in an ICE detention center ever since his release from prison back in March. After serving his time for tax evasion, Giudice was marked for deportation back to his native Italy. While he was born in Europe, the former reality star has been living in the US since early childhood, and he claims to not speak a word of Italian. Joe’s entire family — including his wife and four daughters — lives in New Jersey, and he’s told the court that he feels he would be unable to earn a living in Italy. Giudice was not exactly a beloved figure during his time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but his current situation has engendered a surprising amount of compassion. Unfortunately for Joe, none of that sympathy comes from his wife, Teresa Giudice. From the start, Teresa has made it clear that she’ll divorce Joe if he gets deported. As his case became increasingly desperate and plea after plea was denied, Teresa went ahead and started acting like she was already single. These days, Teresa is dating a much younger man named Blake Schreck , and insiders are convinced she’s planning to divorce Joe whether he gets deported or not. “Joe’s family believes that Teresa is going to file for divorce no matter what,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “Teresa is going to file for divorce from Joe regardless of what the outcome is,” says a different insider. “Joe’s family knows this. Everyone knows this. She has tasted her freedom and she isn’t going to return to him.” Seemingly in confirmation of these claims, Teresa has stopped attending Joe’s court hearings. A spokesperson for the Real Housewife claims that she and Schreck are nothing more than business partners: “This is a working business relationship between two professionals,” says the rep. “They are collectively working on a project that includes other individuals and have been for quite some time. North is a 6-year-old girl in a family built on fashion, looks, and makeup. In other words, North is like a girl whose whole family are legendary bakers, but she's not allowed to eat dessert. Obviously, most families regulate what makeup their young children are allowed to wear, and when. For one thing, makeup is jarringly expensive, and young children tend to be wasteful. Part of that is inexperience, and part of that is a lack of impulse-control. Their brains are still very young. Wearing some red lip or something similar on a holiday or to a special event is normal, even for non-celebrity families. But Kanye's makeup ban isn't drawing is drawing criticism for more than just being an overreaction and a bit of a buzzkill. It seems like Kanye made a unilateral rule for his daughter that Kim is just following. Kim has been observed to be almost blindly supportive of her husband, at least when it comes to public statements. It has been clear for some time that Kanye's judgment and wisdom are both sorely lacking. Between his outlandish statements and his inability to healthily process criticism, something just isn't right. He's a Trump-supporter, folks. He cites that the orange man and he share the same “dragon energy,” whatever that is. It doesn't necessarily mean mental illness. 'Ye may just be, you know, a bad person. But it cuts Kim's longtime fans to the core to see Kim just smile and nod while her husband rambles on and off stages. Kim has a strong contrarian instinct where she gets defensive and becomes determined to resist critics — with some very notable exceptions. It seems that she is even more protective of Kanye. Many fans feel that this is to her detriment. And now, perhaps, to North's.

Thanks to cell phones, the world gets to a real-live police brutality incident go down right before their eyes— causing an even deeper distance between those in Blue and folks with Black skin. But what if you happen to be both; Black And Blue . Deon Taylor ‘s new action flick tells the story of just that. Rookie cop, played by Oscar nominated actress Naomie Harris , inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her ( Tyrese Gibson ) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage. I visited the set of the the thriller flick on day 28 of their 30th day of shooting and watched on as they filmed one of the more emotionally intense scenes of the film. Naomi’s character visits her mother’s grave accompanied by an old childhood friend (Tyrese) as she enlists his help to bust the corrupt officers. Their fellow cast members Mike Colter , Frank Grillo and Beau Knapp were also on set filming on that misty, New Orleans afternoon in Lafayette Cemetery. I caught up with director Taylor, Harris and Tyrese and more of the cast as they dished on all things Black and Blue. And one thing that every actor in the film had in common is their love and respect for their director, Deon. When asked what drew him to this particular film, Mr. Taylor shared with the panel of journalists: “I’m an independent filmmaker first. I’ve been doing this by myself for so long that I didn’t want to do anything studio wise. But when this script came to me, I just went crazy because I had never seen a film based around a female, Black police officer. And that’s just everything that I wanted to do.” On preparing for her role as a police office, Naomi told us: “I was able to draw on a lot of stuff that I did before because when I did Miami Vice, I did lots of undercover work, so I was out with the police and doing raids–I actually did a real drug sting. It was really exciting and terrifying.” Tyrese added that taking on such a gritty role in Black and Blue definitely challenged him as an actor. “First thing was me and Deon go back like six years. So once I got that call, my ears literally lit up. And on that call. I was saying to Deon, when you’re apart of these big franchised, it’s a gift and sometimes can work against you. Because these dark, dramatic roles that really require you to go there and peel back the layers — you get overlooked as an actor. They’ll say ‘Oh, he’s that guy from that thing.’ So the seriousness of a Naomi got me in the game of top. I was ready to make that statement.” As we chatted with the entire cast during their break, Deon Taylor opened up about his own personal relationship with law enforcement as a Black man, saying: “I’ve been affected by police officers in many different ways. From the patrolling, when I was younger, in terms of keeping people in certain areas and having a negative reaction to that in the Chicago area, and with how people police you, vs now, living in a different [area] and seeing how the police act there. You have to be a realist and understand, ok they patrol this way here, and they patrol that way there.” “That’s one of the biggest themes in the film — Alycia being from the inner city, coming back to the inner city as a cop and how people look at her and what they say to her. And she has to find out the hard way that people don’t view her as a black female cop. They view her as a cop. She’s trying to make a breakthrough. There are so many different experiences and what we try to actually do is push all of that into one film. The movie takes a complete turn based on the fact that when she’s in trouble, someone from the neighborhood helps her and breaks code. And everything that we’re taught not to do, this character does.” With everything going on in the world today regarding law enforcement, this film is a must see. The highly anticipated Screen Gems flick is in theaters nationwide October 25th.
