Weird Celebrity Baby Names: Vote For Your Favorite!

All babies are beautiful. All celebrity baby names, however? Let’s just say some are better than others. Below, we rank our favorite weird ones of recent years. NOTE : We are defining weird as in unusual, not in a negative sense. If you don’t know anyone else with said name, it qualifies as unusual, even if you love it. The birth of Beyonce’s baby Blue got us thinking: Where does that little one rank? Without further ado, give it up for the (possibly stoned) parents of … 10. Pilot Inspektor. Overcompensating for your own boring name, Jason Lee? 9. Kal-El. The son of Nic Cage. Yes, Kal dash El. 8. Track and Trig. Todd and Sarah Palin’s daughters, Piper, Willow and Bristol Palin , have downright normal names compared to their brothers. 7. Blue Ivy Carter. This one’s kinda cool, but still out there. 6. Sparrow. We liked this name for Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s second child more when we thought Sparrow was a girl. He is not a girl. 5. Jermajesty. Jermaine Jackson’s son. Yes, Jer-effing-majesty . MJ is exempt, barely, since Blanket is merely a nickname … for Prince Michael II. 4. Spec and Hud. The latter of John Cougar Mellencamp and Elaine Irwin’s sons may be sponsored by the Dept of Housing and Urban Development. 3. Bronx Mowgli. Borough of New York City + Jungle Book character = perfect baby name … at least if you’re Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. 2. Suri. The apple of Tom and Katie’s eye. Speaking of … 1. Apple. Gwyneth and Chris take the cake on this one. What’s your favorite weird celebrity baby name?

Robert Kardashian Declares: Khloe is My Daughter!

Robert Kardashian passed away in 2003. So how did the former O.J. Simpson attorney actually come to his daughter’s rescue this week, amidst a growing, tabloid-based scandal? First, a refresher on said scandal: in the latest issue of Star , two of Robert’s former wives came out and claimed he admitted to them that Khloe Kardashian was NOT his spawn . They quoted their late ex as saying he knew all along that Khloe was the product of an affair Kris Jenner carried on, but he loved her anyway. Khloe has since come out and slammed the women , while family sources have written off their claims as ridiculous. Now, TMZ has uncovered a document that might actually prove Khloe truly is Robert’s offspring. When the elder Kardashian was looking to annul his marriage in 1999 to Jan Ashley, he signed a declaration in court that stated the marriage failed because Jan wanted to have his child and wrote: “I decided that since I already had four biological children, I did not wish to have any more.” So there you have it. Is it 100%, definitive proof of fatherhood? No. But it’s mighty close and, come on, there’s plenty to bash about the Kardashians. Why make up such a silly rumor in the first place? [Photo: WENN.com]

Guy Says Things People Never, Ever Say

People rarely shut up nowadays, but there are some things they just never say. Ever hear anyone claim Breaking Dawn deserves an Academy Award? Or that they’re really missing Rosie O’Donnell these days? Or they wish they could watch more WNBA games on TV? Or set their default font on MS Word to Papyrus? Exactly. To that end, here is a collection of phrases you will often never hear: Sh!t Nobody Says

People’s Choice Awards Ruled By Demi Lovato, ‘Glee’ Stars

Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Robert Pattinson also took home awards. By Jocelyn Vena Demi Lovato at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards Photo: Getty Images With a touch of sass and Neil Patrick Harris, “The Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco opened the 2012 People’s Choice Awards and set the tone for a night of good times when the show went live from Los Angeles on Wednesday night (January 11), kicking off what is sure to be an action-packed awards season. The night was a mixed bag of awards for TV, music and movies, with Emma Stone, Demi Lovato and “Castle” as the big headlines of the night. The guys of “The Grey” kicked off the night by handing out the award for Favorite Movie Actress to Emma Stone, who also won Favorite Comedic Actress. “You will literally make me cry,” Stone told the room. “I moved to L.A. eight years ago this week. And it is so insane to be standing up here right now.” Favorite TV Comedy Actress went to “Glee” star Lea Michele, who beat out the night’s host. She dedicated her award to “my amazing cast, my glee club. All of you are my best friends. You guys are the best. And Ryan Murphy for bringing so many of my dreams and making them come true. This is for my fans, and ‘Glee’ would be nothing without you guys.” “The Hunger Games” stars Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence handed the award for Favorite TV Drama Actress to “Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev, who seemed grateful to her fans for helping her win an award she wasn’t originally nominated for. “Wow guys, this is so great. You guys wrote and wrote and continued to write in that they cave in and gave me a nomination that I won!” she said in her lacy emerald green dress. Josh Hutcherson and Vanessa Hudgens welcomed Favorite Pop Artist winner Demi Lovato to the stage. Adam Sandler displayed his signature and vintage charm in his acceptance speech for Favorite Comedic Movie Actor, thanking his teachers for helping him make his frequently critically panned box-offices smashes. Cory Monteith and Julianne Hough shared some banter before they handed Chloe Moretz the Favorite Movie Star Under 25 prize. “I can’t even imagine that I’m in the same category as the whole ‘Harry Potter’ cast and I won,” the 14-year-old said before thanking her fans. Robert Pattinson accepted the award for Best Drama Movie for the sweeping and romantic “Water For Elephants.” “Thank you very much,” Pattinson said. “When I was doing this movie, I had so much fun doing it.” “Once Upon A Time” leading ladies Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison gave the Favorite TV Drama Actor trophy to “Castle” star Nathan Fillion. The show also won for Best TV Crime Drama. “Vampire Diaries” hotties Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley showed their funny side when they presented “Bridesmaids” with the award for Favorite Comedy Movie. “We’d like to thank everyone who voted for ‘Bridesmaids.’ We’d especially like to thank Kristen Wiig,” Producer Judd Apatow said with the female-driven cast behind him, who then launched into a rendition of Wilson Phillips’ classic “Hold On.” “Haywire” star Ewan McGregor had the distinction of handing out the Favorite Movie Icon prize to Morgan Freeman. “When I found out I had been nominated… I decided to look up icon so here’s what I found,” Freeman said, going on to joke about the many definitions of the word, before he said he was “forever grateful for this honor.” “How I Met Your Mother” were the last to take the stage home when the cast accepted the award for Favorite Network TV Comedy. By the end of the night, stars ranging from Rihanna (Favorite R&B Artist) to the cast of “2 Broke Girls” to Lady Gaga (for her album Born This Way ) had nabbed a Waterford Crystal trophy. Watch Meryl Streep’s Friends Campaign For Her Oscar… During Her Kennedy Center Tribute

Last night, during the 34th Annual Kennedy Center Honors telecast, Meryl Streep ‘s friends feted the honoree in grand fashion. There were video montages introduced, touching anecdotes told, funny memories recounted, musical numbers performed and splits done in her honor –  by  Robert De Niro, Mike Nichols, Stanley Tucci, Emily Blunt, Kevin Kline, Anne Hathaway and Tracy Ullman (who co-starred with Streep in Plenty ). It was an epic ode to the actress’s “superhuman” onscreen ability — one, that after ten minutes of increasingly heaping praise, began to feel like one of the most elaborate Oscar campaigns to date. With just two months until the 84th Academy Awards, last night’s Kennedy Center Honors Meryl Streep-fest aired at a perfect time. The actress has just scored her Golden Globe nomination for her highly-anticipated performance in The Iron Lady and is already being called an Oscar frontrunner for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher in a project that seems designed entirely for a Lead Actress Oscar win. Take a look at the 10+ minute CBS campaign below.

Consider Uggie: The Awards Case for The Artist’s Wonder Dog

It’s awards madness this week at Movieline, with the New York Film Critics Circle and Gotham Awards having weighed in on their best of 2011, the Independent Spirit Awards revealing their nominees, and the National Board of Review winners forthcoming on Thursday. But amid all the institutionalized laurels and accolades, one subject remains notably absent — a subject so beloved within his own celebrated film that the omission remains a cruel snub at best and a skulduggerous interspecial sham at worst.

Miss Piggy on The Muppets, Amy Adams’ ‘OK’ Voice, and Kermit’s Dirty Secret

Miss Piggy has been a TV and movie star for decades, but in The Muppets , she finally gets the spotlight to herself and dominates the entire film start to finish — or so she’d have us believe. The Muppets is a showcase for many of her colleagues, but she’s the only character who gets a split-screen duet with Amy Adams and a very contemporary wardrobe. Movieline caught up with the porcine superstar (who is voiced by Eric Jacobsen) to discuss the new movie, her new look, and the bodily secret that Kermit doesn’t want you to know.
