Pictures of Kim Kardashian nude in Paper Magazine failed to break the Internet last December. But Sharknado 3 came pretty darn close. View Slideshow: Sharknado 3: The Wildest, Wackiest and Most Awesome Moments The third installment of this Syfy movie franchise more than doubled the Twitter output of Sharknado 2, as the network jus sent out a press release that listed a number of startling figures.  To wit, Sharknado 3… Generated more Twitter activity than every episode of the final season of Mad Men… every episode of this season’s The Bachelor  … and Hillary Clinton’s presidential announcement. Overall, it generated TWO BILLION Twitter impressions last night. Sharknado 3 clips have generated nearly 6 million views to date, including 4.1 million on Syfy’s YouTube channel. Stars who Tweeted about Sharknado 3 included: Tyra Banks, William Shatner, Kevin Jonas, Wendy Williams and Alyson Hannigan, as well as NASA, American Red Cross, the Department of Defense, NASCAR, the NBA and the NHL. Considering all these facts and figures, it is any wonder Sharknado 4 has already received a greenlight from Syfy?

TV Reporter Robbed While Reporting on Local Robbery

Heather Holmes was reporting on a local Oakland woman who was robbed and attacked Monday night when irony struck the KTVU employee: The journalist’s purse was stolen from an unlocked news van just steps away from the crew (and across the street from police headquarters) during the live feed. Heather Holmes Robbery Report “R u kidding me? Doing a live report at @oaklandpoliceca headquarters & my purse is stolen from the live truck! We were parked outside #OPD!!” Holmes Tweeted soon after the incident. The culprit used Heather’s bank card within 20 minutes of swiping it. “Credit cards now canceled.  Locks changed. Lesson here… be aware of your surroundings at all times, including at police headquarters,” Holmes added. The reporter soon changed her perspective, however, consider she was covering the story of a young woman who was beaten on the streets. “While it’s a bummer that my purse was stolen, it doesn’t compare to what purse snatcher’s did to this woman,” Holmes wrote. “She was beaten about the face & head for her purse in #Temescal. @oaklandpoliceca responds & says it will increase patrols in the area.” 24 Hilariously Awesome Moments in News 1.
