The 2012 presidential election is tomorrow, but plenty of states have early voting. At least 30 million people in 34 states have already cast ballots by mail or in person. That’s a huge percentage of the overall popular vote – about 120 million citizens cast ballots in 2008, when Barack Obama defeated John McCain. Four years ago, Obama’s good fortune was foreshadowed by a surge in Democrats voting early. He’s banking on the same enthusiasm in 2012. Will he get it? No votes will be counted until Tuesday, but some states are releasing the party affiliation of those who vote early – a pretty good barometer of who they picked. This doesn’t tell us who will show up tomorrow, of course, and these aren’t actual votes, but registered partisans tend to vote their party 90-plus percent of the time. We don’t believe in revenge. We believe in change and hope.” Ryan was referencing remarks President Obama made Friday, also in the battleground state of Ohio, that voting against the GOP nominee is “the best revenge.” The Obama re-election campaign, in an email statement, claimed the GOP ticket is “willing to say anything to win, but their rhetoric just doesn’t match reality.” Smh…

Because this is the only rational explanation that we can think of for why these fools continue to go public with these dumb and dumber statements like this one.. via Think Progress Former FEMA Director Michael Brown offered criticism of President Obama’s early responses to Hurricane Sandy yesterday, including a dig at the administration’s response to last month’s attack in Libya. Yesterday, ahead of the storm’s pummeling of the eastern seaboard, Brown gave an interview to the local alternative paper, the Denver Westword, on how he believed the Obama administration was responding to Sandy too quickly and that Obama had spoken to the press about Sandy’s potential effect too early. Brown turned then to a reliable right-wing attack on the President’s response to the attack on a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Benghazi that killed four Americans: “One thing he’s gonna be asked is, why did he jump on [the hurricane] so quickly and go back to D.C. so quickly when in…Benghazi, he went to Las Vegas?” Brown says. “Why was this so quick?… At some point, somebody’s going to ask that question…. This is like the inverse of Benghazi.” It must be azz backwards day. Cause that made absolutely NO sense. SMH.

Justin Timberlake has posted an open letter on his website to both apologize for a wedding video that made the rounds on the Internet this week, and also to clarify a few points regarding it. The video in question depicts homeless people wishing Justin and his new bride, Jessica Biel, well on their nuptials – and many have reacted harshly to the mockery of the subjects on film. Justin Timberlake Wedding Video “I think we can all agree that it was distasteful,” Timberlake writes, adding: “I was always taught that we as people, no matter what your race, sex, or stature may be, are equal.” JT goes on to say: The video was NOT actually shown at the wedding. He had “ZERO” contribution to it. His friends behind it are “good people” who simply showed a “lapse in judgment” in this case. Concludes the artist: “I do understand the reaction and, by association, I am holding myself accountable. “Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my thoughts. It really is a blessing to be able to speak directly to my true fans so that you can know exactly where I stand.”
