My name is Catherine, I am 15 and I am from England. I have always been the most unluckiest person ever. I never used to win anything no matter how many competitions I entered, and that was quite a lot! It was always my dream to meet Justin Bieber one day and I never used to win any of the meet and greet competitions I entered. But Justin always taught me to NEVER SAY NEVER so I never gave up! On 11th of March 2011 my dream came true! My friend Lucy and I entered a BieberFever.com meet and greet competition to meet him at the Liverpool Echo Arena and we won! We couldn’t believe it, it was the most amazing feeling in the world! We found out that we were meeting him the day before the actual concert and had been waiting for a few weeks for the email if we won or not. The concert started at 7:30pm but me and Lucy arrived in Liverpool at about 11 o’clock in the morning, we couldn’t wait! We both waited outside Justin’s hotel for a while and everyone was just screaming and singing his songs. Later on we walked over to near the Echo Arena and we heard loads of people shouting for Justin. Then out of no where, Marvin Millora appeared and walked out casually. No one really recognized him but me and Lucy ran after him so fast to catch up. We asked for a photo and he said no and we were like please and he said, ”Just joking, of course!” T hen we got a picture with him! We headed back over to the arena and saw Dan Kanter, Ryan Good and Allison Kaye walking past so we got pictures with them! We spoke to them for a bit but they were going to the Beatles Museum. Then at about half 4pm we collected our meet & greet wristbands and lined up. We were both shaking like mad and very nervous, I thought I was going to faint! At about half 5pm they came and got us and took us through. They said no screaming when you get in there please, just be as normal as you can. I was just so scared inside but excited and happy at the same time! It didn’t feel real at all! Then they took us through this small room we had to go in fours so me and my friend Lucy went with these two other girls that we started talking to. We walked past Kenny Hamilton and I said hello! T hen we turned around and there he was just standing right in front of us. Justin smiled and I was just like freaking out in my head. He said ‘Hey’. I said, ‘Hello, Oh my god your amazing!!’ He thanked me and we got a photo and hugged him each! He told us to enjoy the show, have a good night! My heart was just racing! I didn’t want to leave but we had to and we walked out the room. Loads of girls started coming up to us and saying, “Oh my God have you just met Justin Bieber? Oh my God you are so lucky”. My friend was crying at this point in shock. Then it was time for the show! He put on an amazing concert. Now my life is actually complete! NEVER SAY NEVER RIGHT! -@cattymcclearyx More: My name is Catherine, I am 15 and I am from England. I have…

Josh Krajcik also impresses judges with the Beatles’ ‘Something.’ By Adam Graham Chris Rene on “X Factor” Photo: FOX Nicole Scherzinger coined the term “Krajcik Magic” on Wednesday’s (December 7) “X Factor,” but it was Chris Rene who worked his mojo the hardest, arguably winning the night with his show-closing original, “Where Do We Go From Here.” Rene’s performance finished out a night that saw the top five contestants performing two songs apiece: one dance hit and one song of each contestant’s choosing. The episode’s drama (because what would “The X Factor” be without a little drama?) came from an “error in communication” that saw the contestants having to switch up their final songs with only 24 hours’ notice. How would they perform under the pressure? Would they remember their lyrics? And what kind of crazy hyperbole would Paula Abdul heap upon the contestants? Turns out they all handled the twist pretty well, with Rene stealing the evening with his original song. Cross-legged and strumming an acoustic guitar, Rene seemed perfectly at ease with “Where Do We Go From Here,” which brought to mind his initial audition when he performed another original, “Young Homie.” “Where Do We Go From Here” had a laid-back, easygoing vibe and wouldn’t have felt out of place being released on Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records. Simon Cowell remarked that at this point in the competition, performing an original is either “stupidity or a stroke of genius.” He ended up calling it the latter, with Rene reacting by jumping up and down in place. Up until Rene’s finale it appeared to be Josh Krajcik’s night, even though it started out shaky with a so-so orchestral take on Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” But he came around on his second song, punching up the Beatles’ “Sometimes” and having Scherzinger call him “the male Adele in the industry right now” before coining the term “Krajcik Magic.” Abdul literally couldn’t find the words to sing his praises, telling the burrito maker, “Adjectives just don’t describe your brilliance anymore, they just don’t measure up.” (Note: Will someone please lend Paula a thesaurus?) Speaking of Adele, Melanie Amaro opened the show with a clubby take on the Brit soul singer’s “Someone Like You” and later took on Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey’s “When You Believe.” Those are three gigantic singers to tackle over the course of a season let alone a single night, but Amaro acquitted herself nicely, with Cowell calling her “outstanding” and urging viewers to pick up their phones to vote so he doesn’t end up with another situation like he had with Drew last week. Bubbly 13-year-old Rachel Crow chose B.o.B and Bruno Mars’ “Nothin’ on You” for her opener and returned to last week’s Michael Jackson theme for “Music & Me” for her second performance of the evening. To say Abdul was ecstatic about the two songs would be an understatement. “Your vocal depth transcends all generations” she told Crow after the former, while explaining to her, “You are a wonderful role model. You are every girl’s best friend and every parent’s daydream. You are fantastic and magical,” after the second. Did we mention Abdul also called her “beautifully fearless”? Marcus Canty, who has landed in the bottom two the last two weeks in a row, took on Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody” and Leon Russell’s “A Song for You.” The first song played more to his strengths, while the second honed in on his vocals, which often suffer in comparison to his abilities as an all-around entertainer. Cowell blew off the second song as “a bit boring,” but Canty’s mentor, L.A. Reid, compared his ability to get up after getting knocked down to no less than Muhammad Ali. “I’ve got your back,” Reid told him. But do voters? One artist is scheduled to be sent home on Thursday’s episode of “The X Factor.” What did you think of Wednesday’s show? Let us know in the comments!

Latest #1 moves her ahead of Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson on the all-time list, with Whitney Houston and Madonna within reach. By James Montgomery Rihanna on the set of her “We Found Love” video Photo: Photopress Belfast/Splash News Rihanna may have pushed the boundaries with her video for “We Found Love,” but thanks to that song, she’s now pushed her way into the history books — and passed a pair of all-time greats in the process. “Love” just completed its climb to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, giving Rihanna her 11th #1 hit, which puts her one ahead of Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson. With her latest chart-topper, she’s now tied with Whitney Houston and is within reach of equaling Madonna and the Supremes’ career total of 12 #1’s. If — or, more likely, when — she gets her 12th, she’ll trail only Michael Jackson (13 #1’s), Elvis Presley (17), Mariah Carey (18) and the Beatles (20) on the all-time list. Rare company, indeed. And just as impressive is how quickly she’s accomplished all this. Earlier this month, when “Love” leapt from #16 to #9 on the Hot 100, RiRi made Billboard history by racking up 20 top 10’s faster than any solo artist , doing it in just six years and four months. That bested a mark previously set by Madonna, who did it in six years and nine months and ranks Rihanna second to only the Beatles, who pulled off the feat in a staggering two years and seven months. Rihanna is the 14th artist to ever earn 20 Hot 100 top 10’s and is just the fifth woman to do it. Madonna leads everyone with 37 top 10’s, followed by Carey and Jackson (27 each) and Whitney Houston, with 23. What do you think about Rihanna’s chart accomplishment? Let us know in the comments! Depending on how you look at it, this could mean that Rihanna is the best singer in the history of popular music. Rihanna roars to a 20th Billboard Hot 100 top 10 single faster than any other solo artist, as “We Found Love,” featuring Calvin Harris, darts 16-9 in its second chart week. Having first graced the Hot 100 the week of June 11, 2005, with the eventual No. 2-peaking “Pon De Replay,” Rihanna reaches 20 top 10s in a span of just six years and four months, besting Madonna for the quickest collection of top 10s among soloists (from an artist’s first Hot 100 appearance) in the chart’s 53-year history. Madonna tallied her 20th top 10, “Hanky Panky,” the week of July 28, 1990, for a stretch of six years and nine months after her chart introduction with “Holiday.” Rihanna, thus, bests Madonna’s mark by five months. Among all acts, Rihanna’s run to 20 top 10s is the second-fastest. Only the Beatles sprinted to the sum more quickly, taking just two years, seven months and one week between their chart entrance with “I Want to Hold Your Hand” (Jan. 18, 1964) and “Yellow Submarine,” which sailed 52-8 the week of Aug. 27, 1966. The Supremes are pushed to third-place among all artists, having collected their 20 career top 10s in a span of six years, five months and one week in 1964-70. With the vault, Rihanna becomes the 14th artist to garner as many as 20 Hot 100 top 10s and just the fifth woman to earn the honor. Among women, Madonna leads with 37 top 10s – the highest total among all artists – followed by Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson (27 each) and Whitney Houston (23). Prior to Rihanna this week, Carey had been the last artist to reach 20 top 10s when “Thank God I Found You,” featuring Joe and 98 Degrees, blasted 22-2 on the Feb. 12, 2000, chart (a week before it led the Hot 100 for one frame). Notably, in an era where songs can scale the Hot 100′s upper reaches in their debut week solely on the strength of hefty first-week digital sales, all 20 of Rihanna’s top 10s have received radio support concurrent with their moves into the Hot 100′s top 10. Seventeen of the 20, in fact, have reached the top 10 on Radio Songs, with eight bounding all the way to No. 1. And, even the three songs that missed the Radio Songs top 10 still made the list’s top 40 (“Break It Off,” No. 11; “Russian Roulette,” No. 35; and, “Cheers (Drink to That),” No. 13). Go Rihanna Navy, Go! Source
