‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ Teaser Trailer: Experts And Fans React

Ten-second clip left fans wanting to see more of Bella in her new vampire body. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” Photo: Summit Entertainment Who else set their alarms for an early wake-up in order to see the brand-new “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” teaser trailer this morning? We got a full 10 seconds of teaser and are very pleased to have seen a brief glimpse of Bella in action as a super speedy vampire, as well as quick cuts to our favorite leading men, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, looking all happy and handsome. We’re hoping for a lot more of that in the full-length trailer , among other things. But enough about us, what did our trusted “Twilight” experts have to say about the early-morning sneak peek? “All of the Team Edward and Team Jacob fans should be happy, but ‘Breaking Dawn’ is really all about Team Bella,” said Kallie Mathews of TwilightSeriesTheories.com. “Consider me ‘teased’!” Twilight Lexicon’s Laura Byrne-Cristiano also appreciated the very short seconds of tease but, like most of us, was left wanting more. “Ten seconds wasn’t really enough to capture anything. We did see Bella running through the trees, but we couldn’t see her face in that brief snippet,” she said. “So, we got only a little of the Bella with vampire powers that I was hoping for. It was nice to see a reaction of Jacob and Edward to Bella, but I really would have been more satisfied if Bella herself (in particular her facial expressions) was more in the shot. I’m hoping we actually get to see her and not just her point of view in the full teaser.” Seeing vampire Bella has all us fans excited, but of course there are those who will never get enough of Edward Cullen. When we asked fans to tweet us their reactions to the teaser, we received a lot of love for Pattinson’s beloved character as well as requests for more vampire Bella. @bellalorenza_ and @sherriatl want more of RPattz, whereas @catprodd requested the trailer “bring on the new vamps” that make their debut in part 2. @theLynsJ is all about the new vampy Mrs. Cullen. “Bella running through the woods,” she tweeted about her favorite part of the teaser. “I can’t wait to see her do vampire-y things!” What are you hoping to see in the full-length trailer for “Breaking Dawn – Part 2”? ‘American Idol’ Castoff Jeremy Rosado Wants To Win 17 Grammys

‘That would work for me,’ Rosado jokes to MTV News about his awards-filled, post-‘Idol’ plans. By James Montgomery Jeremy Rosado Photo: MTV News Jeremy Rosado wasn’t exactly surprised to hear his name called during last week’s “American Idol” elimination show — telling USA Today he had a “gut feeling” that his time was up — but he was rather shocked to hear “Idol” mentor Jimmy Iovine’s criticisms of his performance … mostly because he didn’t think they were warranted. “I didn’t think that it was as bad as a couple of them were saying; but, you know, Jimmy’s a great guy, and he was hoping for the best … unfortunately I guess to him it didn’t turn out the way he wanted,” Rosado told MTV News. “But, I’m grateful, and I’m grateful to [“Idol” judges] Randy [Jackson] and Steven [Tyler] as well. No matter what happened, there were 112,000 people that auditioned for the show, and praise God, they chose me to be in their top 13, you know? I couldn’t be more grateful.” Of course, Rosado is most grateful to “Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez, who not only seemed to be his biggest supporter on the show, but coined his now ubiquitous nickname: Jer-Bear. And then, after he had been eliminated, well, she helped change his mood considerably. “Jer-Bear, yeah, I think I’m going to try and get it copyrighted or something,” he laughed. “Jennifer gave me a kiss on my check twice, and I got eliminated that day, but she made me feel a little bit better … a lot bit better. And to think someone like her or [last week’s mentor] Mary J. Blige [could] fall in love with my voice, and with me as a person? That doesn’t happen every day, so I’m forever grateful.” And though he’ll be the first to admit that his nerves got the better of him last week — “Not being voted into the top 13 definitely played with my head a lot,” he said — he’s already realizing the benefits that being showcased on “Idol” are pretty great … and he’s looking to take full advantage of them. “I love acting, and singing is definitely my #1 passion; I’m definitely going to continue to sing,” he said. “And hopefully, this is the huge dream, I’m just going to lay it out for you: I’m going to be on a TV show, I’m going to be in a couple movies, I’m going to win an Oscar — this is what I want — I want to win 17 Grammys and, I think that’s good. … That would work for me.” Get your “Idol” fix on MTV News’ “American Idol” page , where you’ll find all the latest news, interviews and opinions. Kristen Stewart’s ‘On The Road’ Trailer: Five Keys Scenes

Stewart bids a topless farewell to her days as Bella Swan in the celebrity-studded clip. By Kevin P. Sullivan Kristen Stewart in the “On the Road” trailer Photo: MK2 Productions The trailer for “On the Road,” an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s seminal beat generation novel, finally hit the Web and brought the cool of 1960s America with it. We saw Kristen Stewart shake it and roll one up. Garrett Hedlund talks about the dumb stuff that he does and can’t explain, and Sam Riley sounds disturbingly like Heath Ledger’s Joker. Here are our five key scenes from the “One the Road” trailer. KStew Rolls Deep This is not the Bella Swan you know. This is Marylou, the 16-year-old, reefer-smoking chick that Dean Moriarty (Hedlund) just married. We’re not sure if there could have been a more striking image to let us know that Kristen Stewart has left Forks, Washington, far behind her. A Breezy Drive Let’s take that last part back for one second. If we needed a clearer image that Stewart is removing the mantle of Bella Swan for her future career, we have what looks like a shot of the actress removing something else in the front seat with Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley: her top. We’ve seen Stewart with an edge in several of her other films, but for “On the Road,” she seems to be bidding “Twilight” adieu in style. The Freakout As a key work of the beat generation, what would a film adaptation of “On the Road” be without a good old-fashioned drug freak-out dance? Here we see Hedlund tripping out and getting his freak on. It’s rare that we see such a loose Hedlund, and the scene gives a good idea of the kind of shenanigans Dean will be up to.

‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ Exclusive Clip Premieres

‘I loved Bella’s piercing red eyes … I’m even more excited for ‘Part 2′ now,’ fan Cynthia Rodriguez says of teaser debut at NYC Target store. By Erin Strecker Fans watch a clip from “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” at Target in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday Photo: Erin Strecker/ MTV News Vampires may come out after dark, but there weren’t any bloodsuckers at the Brooklyn, New York, Target store Friday night — just roughly a hundred women (and a few guys) who wanted to meet one. The crowd was anxiously waiting to pick up the DVD of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” which was released at midnight. But it wasn’t just the thrill of re-watching Bella and Edward’s honeymoon that had these NYC Twi-hards — some of whom had been in line since 8 p.m. — bubbling with the kind of excitement normally reserved for a newborn vamp chasing his first kill. At 11 p.m., as promised, exclusive footage from “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” was shown for the first time at 500 Target stores nationwide. “Part 1” may have featured a wedding, but the fandom wars over who should have Bella’s heart were still raging on as the countdown to new footage began, with passionate discussions about Team Edward and Team Jacob popping up throughout the crowd. Friends Patrice Waite, 21, and Cynthia Rodriguez, 22, may not be able to agree on matters of vampire vs. werewolves, but the duo, who lovingly refer to themselves as “Team Switzerland,” can agree that they are psyched to see “Part 2,” even as they reminisced over “Part 1” scenes such as the romantic wedding and the intense birth of Renesmee. “In a perfect world,” Waite said, “the scene [I want to see tonight] would be when they are at the cottage, and they go all out [having sex], breaking walls and stuff.” “I want to see more of Renesmee [in Part 2]” Lauren Perciballi, 25, said. “I’m anxious to see how that works out because it’s a vampire/human, so she’s growing at a rapid pace. I’m interested to see the special effects behind that.” The actual clip may have been sex-and-Renesmee-free, but the five-minute-long tease certainly worked to entice fans gearing up for the premiere of “Part 2” next November. Aside from some behind-the-scenes shots of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner preparing for battle in the woods, the full, exclusive-to-Target scene is from early on in the movie, when Bella discovers a note in a book with instructions from Alice, explaining what to do to get new passports. The clip showcases a heart-to-heart between Edward and Bella and features a swoon-worthy kiss that made the audience scream. The best part? Judging from fan reaction, it was the first shot of vampire Bella, whose red eyes and special-effect-aided speed definitely enticed Twi-hards to be even more excited for the next chapter in the saga. “[The clip] was good,” Waite said. “Of course, it was just a little clip, making us want more. I wasn’t expecting that, but it was pretty good. I loved seeing [vampire Bella] zoom across the room.” Rodriguez agreed. “I loved Bella’s piercing red eyes. I thought they did a good job [with the vampire stuff]. I’m even more excited for ‘Part 2’ now.” Not everyone at the event was a vampire lover though. Special sneak peek or not, the fandom wars continue on. While Kimberlee Imperato was excited about the special footage and loved newly vamped Bella, her daughter, 14-year-old BaileeAnn Darbasie, wasn’t impressed. “[My mom] dragged me here,” she explained. “I’m a Harry Potter fan.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . ‘Twilight: The Musical’ Vamps In New York

Harry, Ron and Hermione make ‘Twilight’ debut in the off-Broadway parody. By Amy Wilkinson The cast of “Twilight: The Musical” Photo: Dreamcatcher Entertainment NEW YORK — When “Dreamgirls” helmer Bill Condon took over direction of “The Twilight Saga,” more than a few cheeky journalists wondered if he’d treat fans to a bloodsucking song-and-dance extravaganza. Alas, vogueing Volturi weren’t meant to be — at least on the big screen. They have, however, found a temporary home on the New York City stage in the form of ” Twilight: The Musical .” The off-Broadway parody production premiered Monday night at the New World Stages, raising money for the charity Blessings in a Backpack. Written by Ashley Griffin and directed by Gabriel Barre, “Twilight: The Musical” is, for now, staged as a concert reading, meaning that the actors hold scripts throughout the show. But the cheat sheets did little to diminish the enthusiasm of the oft-hilarious production. A group of eight actors play more than 30 roles, with some pulling quadruple and even quintuple duty (such as standouts Lauren Lopez and Jenna Leigh Green). With her bobbing ponytail, zip-up hoodie, skinny jeans and sullen expression, Meghann Fahy (“Next to Normal”) is a dead ringer for Bella Swan (or, at the very least, Kristen Stewart’s portrayal of Bella Swan), while “Wicked” actor Colin Hanlon looks perfectly pained as Edward Cullen. Jared Zirilli (“Wicked”) spends the entire second act shirtless, portraying Jacob with the kind of earnestness that’s made Taylor Lautner the object of many a teen’s fever dreams. The show opens much as the “Twilight” movie does, with Bella’s monologue about her impending death followed by the cafeteria scene and the upbeat track “Looking for Something.” (Sample lyrics: “I think I see a Fork stuck in my road,” “We’re standing on the twilight of something good.”) The first act hems closely with its source material, including all the requisite scenes: Edward’s biology class freak-out, Bella’s car accident and the bookstore gang-up. Much of the dialogue comes straight from screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg’s script, too, albeit with much-welcomed embellishments. (Charlie to Bella: “I know it’s awkward starting in the middle of a semester, so I got you a truck!”) But things take a canon-twisting turn about two-thirds of the way through the first act when Hermione, Ron and Harry show up. Yes, someone got “Harry Potter” in our “Twilight.” Instead of Victoria, James and Laurent, Hogwarts’ finest play the villains here. The meta levels reach 11 when the wizards mistakes Edward for Cedric Diggory. And so it is that Ron tracks Bella down in her old ballet studio and is done in by the Cullen coven, leaving Hermione to avenge the death of her beloved. The first act closes on Bella’s birthday — the surprisingly bloody scene from “New Moon.” The second act opens with a freshly shorn Jacob (his wig somehow even mangier than Lautner’s) singing with his pack. From there, the production speeds through the last three books of Meyer’s series, compressing much of the story in favor of cramming it all in. Despite the odd pacing, the production sang thanks to details only a true fanatic could relish. Edward’s sparkling-in-the-sun effect is achieved with a glittery bodysuit hidden underneath the actor’s button-down like Superman’s spandex. The iconic apple from the book’s cover hangs limply (and obviously) from a springing wire gizmo as Edward tries to suavely hand it to Bella. Not to mention the actors muster plenty of fourth-wall-breaking furtive glances, letting the audience know they are in on the joke. But the tongue-in-cheek vibe is abandoned late in the second act for a sobering bit of moralizing from Harry, who comes to Bella in a dream sequence asking if it was all worth it. “You were willing to sacrifice everything to get a boyfriend,” he says. “In the end, you destroyed yourself.” Point taken, Harry Potter. But what a buzzkill. If you weren’t able to make the one-night-only charity benefit, don’t fret: Work is being done to bring the production to the New York stage for good.

Rima Fakih, Former Miss USA, Arrested For DUI

Former Miss USA Rima Fakih got arrested for DUI the other night. The 26-year-old, who became the first Miss USA of Arabian descent when she captured the crown in 2010, then managed to keep it despite controversy over some pole dancing pics , faces drunken driving charges after a weekend bust in Highland Park, Mich. Rima Fakih Tweeted Saturday: “Let’s clear things up now. … I’m NOT in Michigan and I’m NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih.” But … it sort of looks like that was the right Fakih. The post has since been removed, and on Sunday her attorney Doraid Elder confirmed the arrest , noting that her record “has not a single blemish,” other than this and that Rima is “very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she’s in.” Police offered no additional details of the arrest. The stunning beauty queen appeared to be in good spirits today however, Tweeting: “A long run always gets me energized! Its time to make football Sunday food.”

‘Breaking Dawn’ Carolina Herrera Wedding Gown To Hit Stores

Also, Alfred Angelo’s official replica of the designer’s ‘Twilight’ dress is available nationwide for $799. By Rob Markman Alfred Angelo’s replica of Bella Swan’s dress from “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Alfred Angelo You too can look like Bella Swan on her wedding day now that the official replica of the elegant gown Kristen Stewart wore in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” is available in stores. The Carolina Herrera-designed dress that Stewart wore when she and Robert Pattinson traded vows onscreen arrived in stores on Monday, priced at $799, according to The Wall Street Journal . In addition to the movie’s much ballyhooed sex scene , fans eagerly anticipated the wedding scene, where Bella donned the glorious long-sleeve lace bridal gown. Though the film’s version of the dress was designed by Herrera, bridal retailer Alfred Angelo handled the replication and has been working with Summit Entertainment since May to get the item in stores in time for the film’s premiere. The dresses are available at Alfred Angelo stores nationwide. During our “MTV First: Breaking Dawn” live stream earlier this month, Stewart, flanked by co-stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner , described the fantasy nuptials as “realistically ceremonial” and “very, very emotional.” She even kept the dress a secret from her castmates, except for Pattinson, who caught a sneak peek, much to her dismay. “Nobody saw it until I walked out, which made me so …,” Stewart said, struggling for the right word. “It wasn’t about the dress, it was just everything involved. I was like, ugh, so very the center of attention at that very moment.” Herrera’s original design was, of course, inspired by the book. “I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding,” Herrera said at the film’s premiere. “I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it’s a big scene for me.” Though she made the dress for Stewart, a big-time actress in one of the highest-grossing films of the year , Herrera approached the design just as she would any other bride. “Wedding dresses are different, because you have to know that it’s the most important day in the life of a woman,” she said. “You have to please the bride first of all, and it has to be a secret. I cannot talk about the dress before the groom sees it. I treated [Kristen Stewart’s Bella] like every other bride,” she admitted. “I think [Stewart] was very moved when she tried it on. And that means a lot, because she felt that it was the right one.” Would you purchase a replica of Bella Swan’s wedding gown for your special day? Tell us in the comments! Taylor Lautner On Honeymoon Scene: ‘It’s About Time’

‘I’ve seen Edward and Bella go through a lot so far, so I feel like I was kind of ready to see this,’ Lautner tells MTV News. By Tiffany Miles, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner in “Breaking Dawn, Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment Of all the buzz surrounding this week’s hugely anticipated release of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” the vast majority of fan rumblings and excitement have been about and for one scene and one scene only: the “honeymoon scene,” a.k.a. Bella and Edward’s sex scene. It’s a different story for the actors involved, specifically for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart , who have talked at length about how awkward filming the scene was. Their co-stars seem to be onboard with their enthusiasm for the “action,” however. When MTV News caught up with Taylor Lautner recently, he said he was ready for it. “I’ve seen Edward and Bella go through a lot so far, so I feel like I was kind of ready to see this,” Lautner said. “I think everybody will feel the same way. We’ve seen Edward and Bella in their relationship grow so much that it’s about time.” “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer told us at the “Breaking Dawn” premiere that the scene in the movie gives fans a lot more to see and think about than she did in the book. “I think it’s romantic, and it does give you more than the book does,” Meyer said. “I know some of the sites call it, instead of ‘fade to black,’ ‘fade to sad.’ They’d love to see more. I think this gives them that,” she said. “It gives them a romantic peek into the honeymoon. We don’t want to see too much.” Although everyone seems to be excited to see the honeymoon scene, Lautner still isn’t sure that Bella made the right decision when she chose Edward over his character, Jacob Black. When asked if he thought Bella made the wrong call, he jokingly said, “You know, I go back and forth with that one [question] still.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
