The Voice kicked off Season 6 with a wealth of talent last night, with Adam Levine seeking his third title and Blake Shelton his fourth on the NBC show. Adam may have the upper hand, having snagged Christina Grimmie and Dawn & Hawkes, but Usher secured a key team member Monday as well. Bria Kelly, 17, threw it DOWN with a growling version of James Taylor’s “Steamroller Blues” that had all four judges vying for her. But, in typical fashion, the country singer and The Voice coach chose to address the ongoing chatter by embracing and/or making a mockery of it. “I just read back to back NEW stories that @mirandalambert and I are having a baby , divorcing, cheating and feuding with @cher. Must be true!” Blake Tweeted. “If it costs 40 million dollars to get a divorce then how will we ever afford it?!!!’ Shelton added. “We had that money set aside for health care!!!” Shelton isn’t as kind to some critics, such as the Westboro Baptist Church , but when it comes to being a celeb tabloid fixture, he insists its all good. “I love it. I honestly do love it,” he told CBS This Morning . “I just know, to have that kind of coverage, if I’m popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff … that’s awesome. With near-constant talk that she and husband Blake Shelton are heading for divorce, country star Miranda Lambert addressed the rumors recently: “For the record, I’m not pregnant – I’m drinking – and I’m not getting divorced,” she said, pretty much clearing up all celebrity gossip topics in one quote. Lambert went on to say that all the tabloid speculation about her personal life has given a new meaning to her 2007 single, “Famous In A Small Town.” “I’ve been pregnant, having twins, we’ve been separated, I’m drunk and alone , pregnant again, then we’re having twins again, and now we’re getting divorced!” “I can’t even name the stuff ,” she said. “It’s funny because I realize this song means even more to me now because I’m in the tabloids every week for being famous for something I didn’t even do.” Lambert has spoken out about her buzzed-about relationship before. In April 2013, after winning an American Country Music award with Shelton for their song “Over You,” she told reporters that the time apart from him was hard. Hard but worth it. “You know, it’s not easy all the time being on opposite sides of the country and, you know, traveling and all that,” she said of her Voice coach spouse. “But when you get to celebrate moments like this together and when you go through the hard stuff, those are the moments that count. All the rest is fluff.” Well said, as always. Here’s hoping for many more of those moments for Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton , always one of our favorite couples.

Kicking off The Voice results show last night was a tribute to Oklahoma tornado victims, as resident coach Blake Shelton hails from that very state. He and wife Miranda Lambert live just 100 miles away from Moore, the city devastated by the massive Oklahoma tornado that killed at least 24 people. The duo offered a subdued performance of their hit song “Over You” in tribute, while donation information for The Red Cross was presented on-screen. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton co-wrote the song in honor of Blake’s older brother who passed away when he was a teenager, so it was a fitting choice.
