What is it about the NBA that these dudes STAY in trouble over some mess? Former baller Steve Francis has been accused of sexual assault. From the sound of it he grabbed a chick by the pu**y!!! OW! According to TMZ reports : Former NBA star Steve Francis is being accused of sexual assaulting a woman in Texas last year … TMZ has learned. According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Francis allegedly “groped” a 20-year-old woman through her clothing in May 2010 … and the woman immediately went to the cops to file a complaint. The alleged victim tells TMZ … she is a singer who was signed to Steve’s record label and on the day of the alleged incident, she had met Steve at an office to discuss her contract. The woman, Shauna Simien, tells us the “groping” happened while the two were talking outside, when Francis reached down and grabbed her between the legs. Simien claims she screamed for him to stop — and that’s when a few of her friends, whom she brought along for protection, rushed over to break things up. Despite the fact Simien filed her police report more than a YEAR ago, law enforcement sources tell TMZ the case is still open and no charges have been filed. Simien says she is frustrated the case has not progressed and is considering a lawsuit against the District Attorney’s office. We placed several calls to Francis, his record label and his management company — so far, no official comment. SMH. This fool was probably slizzed out of his damn mind! Poor Shauna. Wonder what is the hold up in pressing charges? It sounds like there were enough witnesses around that somebody should have been able to back this up. Get your life together already Steve Francis!

Anyone taking bets on which gets fixed first the nation debt ceiling of the NFL collective bargaining agreement. President Barack Obama said Friday night that House Speaker John Boehner was “walking away” from negotiations to raise the nation’s debt ceiling and avert financial catastrophe. Still, Obama said he was expecting congressional leaders from both parties at the White House Saturday morning. In a dramatic appearance in the White House briefing room Obama said it was up to the Republican leaders to explain to him how they intend to avoid the default that is threatened after Aug. 2. “I expect them to have an answer in terms of how they intend to get this thing done in the course of the next week. The American people expect action,” Obama said. Boehner, in a letter circulated to the House Republican rank and file, said he had withdrawn from the talks with Obama because “in the end, we couldn’t connect. He said he would turn instead to negotiations with leaders of the Senate, which is controlled by majority Democrats. The disconnect in the talks with the White House, Boehner said, was “not because of different personalities, but because of different visions for our country. The talks had veered uncertainly for weeks, generating reports as late as Thursday that the two sides were possibly closing in on an agreement to cut $3 trillion in spending and add as much as $1 trillion in possible revenue while increasing the government’s borrowing authority of $2.4 trillion. If we didn’t know any better we’d say that republicans are just doing whatever they can to be in opposition to whatever the POTUS would like to do. Source

This b!*$# here… According to TMZ reports : Jose Baez — Casey Anthony’s lawyer — is holed up at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, holding court with all of the major networks — to determine who will score the first interview with Casey — and big bucks are involved. Sources tell TMZ … NBC, ABC and CBS are all competing for the first interview. Sources connected with the negotiations tell TMZ there is a “big price tag” for the interview. We’re told the networks — which say they don’t pay for interviews — are offering to license photos and other material and pay big bucks … that’s S.O.P. in the network game. We’re told NBC looks like the frontrunner so far, but ABC is in the game. We’re told CBS “is a distant third.” We’re told NBC is paying for Baez’ hotel room. Baez spent part of the night Thursday in the Mandarin Oriental bar with famed lawyer Mark Geragos — who knows a thing or two about high-profile cases. We’re told Geragos gave Baez pointers on negotiating the deal. R.I.P. Caylee Anthony, but yo momma is going directly to hell, she will not pass ‘Go’, she will not collect $200.

Al Sharpton is making it rain on those MSNBC folks: After giving a nearly six-month tryout for the Internet talk show host Cenk Uygur, the cable news channel MSNBC is preparing to instead hand its 6 p.m. time slot to the Rev. Al Sharpton. Mr. Sharpton’s imminent hiring, which was acknowledged by three people at the channel on condition of anonymity because the contract had not been signed, is significant in part because MSNBC and other news channels have been criticized for a paucity of minority hosts in prominent time slots. Mr. Sharpton, who is black and is a well-known civil rights activist and radio host, has been guest hosting in the 6 p.m. time slot for the last three weeks. There had been uncertainty about the 6 p.m. slot ever since the channel’s marquee anchor, Keith Olbermann, departed in January, prompting Ed Schultz to be moved to 10 p.m. from 6. Suddenly Mr. Uygur, who had been made a paid contributor to MSNBC months earlier, was handed 6 p.m., a big coup given that he had earlier campaigned to have his progressive Web show “The Young Turks” picked up by MSNBC. He earned solid but not stand-out ratings; in late June the channel’s president, Phil Griffin, decided to try out Mr. Sharpton, and offered Mr. Uygur a new contract that included a weekend show, but not a higher-profile weekday show.
