Bethenny Frankel pregnant picture

The natural-food chef Bethenny Frankel, 39, has had an extremely hectic past year. She fell in love, got pregnant and married, published another book, lost her father, had a baby, and got her own Bravo spin-off, Bethenny Getting Married? All the while, she was embroiled in an emotionally draining feud with castmate Jill Zarin throughout the just-concluded season 3. It’s one of the biggest questions for The Real Housewives of New York City: Will Bethenny Frankel return for a fourth season? Spea

Dog soils set on “Live with Regis and Kelly”

Beth Ostrosky Stern, wife of Howard Stern, spokeswoman for the North Shore Animal League, and author of a new book that kind of swiped our website’s name, appeared on “Live with Regis and Kelly” yesterday morning. The author of “Oh My Dog” brought along three dogs — her own, a bulldog named Bianca, and two others, Scooter and Ladybug, who were rescued from the recent Tennessee floods and are up for adoption. About halfway through Ostrosky Stern’s recitation of summertime tips for dog owners, Scooter urinated on the set’s fake bushes; then a little later Scooter squatted on the artificial grass for his morning constitutional. It made what was a pretty cut and dried segment a little livelier. The book, described as a manual for dog owners, has no connection to ohmidog!, the website. Most reviews of the book have been less than kind, but we won’t go so far as to suggest that what Scooter was expressing was an editorial opinion.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Is ‘Big Enough’ For Two Films, Chris Weitz Says

‘New Moon’ director also talks birth scene: ‘Kristen Stewart giving live birth through the stomach in 3-D! I’m there.’ By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Chris Weitz Photo: MTV News The “Twilight” gang loves Chris Weitz. There’s no doubting that. In the run-up to the release of the Weitz-helmed “New Moon,” Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner spoke effusively about working with the director, even hoping he might reprise his role behind the camera for “Breaking Dawn.” Weitz ended up declining the opportunity to bring the final book in the vampire series to the big screen, but he remains flattered that the cast supports him and even has a bit of advice for “Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon (“Dreamgirls”). “That’s very sweet,” Weitz told MTV News when reminded of how the cast has championed him. “I think that’s because I was the last person who directed them.” Weitz, who led “New Moon” to more than $700 million in worldwide box-office receipts, is confident that Condon is the right man to step into the director’s chair for “Breaking Dawn.” “I think he’s terribly talented,” Weitz said. “I know him, he’s a solid citizen, great guy, very smart. I think he’s going to do an amazing job.” His one piece of advice? “Think carefully about babies clawing out of people’s stomachs,” Weitz said in reference to one scene in the book, going on to refer to an even more famous scene in 1979’s “Alien.” “[Director] Ridley Scott sort of did it.” Weitz added with a laugh, “Kristen Stewart giving live birth through the stomach in 3-D! I’m there. I’m paying.” And he’d be happy to pay for not just one film, but two. It has long been rumored that “Breaking Dawn” will be split into two flicks. That’s a move Weitz endorses. “The book is big enough that it would warrant it,” he said. Stephenie Meyer Explains Why Bree Tanner Deserves Her Own Book

‘Twilight’ author wants fans to read the spin-off novella before seeing ‘Eclipse.’ Stephenie Meyer’s “The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner” Photo: Hachette Book Group Given the fanfare and publicity typically granted Stephenie Meyer whenever she types or breathes a new word, the famous author has been relatively quiet about this Saturday’s release of her “Twilight” novella, “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.” But thanks to a Q&A posted on TheTwilightSaga.com by publisher Little Brown, fans now have a little more insight into why Meyer focused this book on the character Bree, and why she wants fans to read the story before they go see “Eclipse” in a few weeks. Meyer first explained that because “Eclipse” is so focused on Bella’s point of view, she wasn’t able to delve into the story of newborn vampires like Bree . “There was always in my mind a general idea of what they were up to,” she explained. “To keep it all straight, eventually I made a calendar of the months of May and June — which is all ‘Eclipse’ deals with — and wrote down on each square what was going on with Bella that day and what was happening in Seattle. … The story of the newborns was always a big part of the story of ‘Eclipse.’ And it made me kind of sad that there was no way to express any of that in the book.” Regarding the singling out of Bree, Meyer said she was the only newborn mentioned by name in “Eclipse,” and the only one who has

Day Four

I have never experienced four days like this in my life. So much of the Convention had been planned for months and dreamed of for years, but nothing prepares you for the actual experience. Add to that the craziness of the week, and it made for an experience of a lifetime. The last night was very special to me because it featured both of my parents and allowed our entire family to share in the moment. People don’t always see or understand the challenges that a political family encounters; there are some difficult times along the way. But on Thursday night, my Mom and Dad’s hard work was recognized and celebrated in a way I’ve never seen before. I am so happy for them and I am so eager to watch the next 60 days unfold. I’m confident that my Dad will be an incredible President. Thanks to everyone who has helped us get this far. Your support is always a cherished part of my life. And a special thanks to my girls, Heather and Shannon. You guys are always there for me and that means more to me than you’ll ever know. Song of the Day: “Shut Up and Drive” by Rihanna

Day Four

New York City

I just got into New York City last night in preparations for some exciting promotions for the book about Dad. Tomorrow morning I’ll be on both The Today Show and The View! I am excited about both and of course a little nervous as well. Be sure to watch and I’ll be back with some behind the scenes impressions tomorrow.

Overwhelmed

Well, it was quite a day to say the least. Being interviewed on the Today Show and The View this morning were very humbling experiences. As a regular viewer, I know how many people watch these shows and are curious about some of the answers given by the guests. Well, having experienced the “hot seat” for myself, I can tell you it can be a bewildering and overwhelming experience. I want to clarify my comments about my family “understanding war unlike any other”. My family understands the demands of war, in reference to our family’s generations of service to the nation, including that of my grandfather, father and brothers. But obviously, there are many American families that have made, and are making, the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of defending freedom. And those families and those sacrifices should be honored above all else. I regret my comments as they were delivered. I certainly did not mean to diminish the sobering fact of these families’ sacrifices in any way. If nothing else, I hope this brings greater attention to the suffering these families endure when the unthinkable happens. I will certainly work to do a better job of calming my own nerves while being a newcomer on the media circuit. And thanks to everyones’ kind words of support throughout the day.

Sacrifice

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve met so many wonderful people at convention and my book signings.  What has affected me the most are the inspiring stories told and sent to me from veterans who admire my dad and have their own incredible stories to share. They are humbling, inspiring and unforgettable.  One of the most moving is the YouTube video below that hundreds of people have sent to me. I think it speaks for itself and I encourage everyone to watch and share.

Larry King LIVE

When I was told that I would be interviewed on “Larry King Live” as part of my book tour, I was stunned. I’m one of the millions of Americans who grew up watching him host his iconic show on CNN. In person, the vintage microphone, trademark suspenders, and “Lite-Brite” world map appear just as you would expect. I was thankful to have had a full week of doing interviews under my belt before sitting down with Mr. King. Due to CNN rules, we weren’t able to take cameras into the studio, but they were nice enough to provide these great screen shots for the site. Song of the Day: “I Live in L.A.” by CoCo B’s
