So much for holding him down … Phaedra Parks Looking To Divorce Apollo Nida As He Faces Long-Term Imprisonment After just under 5 years of marriage, two adorable boys, and 2.3 million dollars in stolen funds , Phaedra Parks’ marriage to Apollo Nida may finally have come to an end. Apparently Phaedra’s been keeping up her “southern belle with a perfect family” image up for the sake of her kids and RHOA reality cameras , but was pushed over the edge by Apollo’s prison sentence. Via MailOnline : Phaedra Parks reportedly won’t be sticking around for husband Apollo Nida to serve his eight-year prison sentence. According to In Touch Weekly, the 41-year-old Real Housewives Of Atlanta star ‘wants to leave him’ after he was convicted of federal bank fraud and identity theft and sentenced to almost a decadein the slammer on July 8. ‘If they never started a family, she would have filed for divorce long ago,’ the publication reports an insider as saying. ‘But this is going to push Phaedra to act quickly.’ The entertainment attorney and the 35-year-old personal trainer are parents to two young sons – Ayden, three, and Dylan, 14 months – and despite wanting to keep her family together for the sake of the children, she’s reportedly had enough of her husband’s criminal activities. Of course, the couple married on November 1, 2009 – only a short time after Apollo was released from jail having spent six years behind bars for car theft. Meanwhile, TMZ is reporting that the troubled reality star, who regularly appeared alongside his wife on the hit series, will have to cough up close to $1.9 million in restitution after being convicted of cashing stolen checks and laundering more than $2.3 million. Phaedra knew she had a criminal on her hands when she met Apollo. Why get involved with a convict if you’re not “’bout that life?” Either way, at least she got two adorable sons out of the deal (and managed to stay out of jail herself). So I’ve got some good news and some bad news for you guys today.
