ATLANTA, GA – JUNE 27: Dr. Heavenly Kimes attends “Bossip On WE” Atlanta launch celebration at Elevate at W Atlanta Midtown on June 27, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Marcus Ingram/Getty Images) Dr. Heavenly Kimes Talks Love Tips For Singles, Couples & Addresses Rocky Relationship With Mariah “Married To Medicine’s” Dr. Heavenly has watched some of her cast mates’ marriages implode on their TV show, but has managed to keep her nearly 20 year relationship with fellow Dr. Damon Kimes intact. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the dentist and relationship coach revealed her tips to strengthening relationships, whether your single or attached – but not without throwing a little shade towards her frenemy Mariah Huq. BOSSIP: How have you been able to keep your relationship intact in spite of the glare of the public eye? Dr. Heavenly: “I love all the ladies, they’re beautiful, educated, and opinionated. But I’ve told them from the beginning, you have to be a wife first. Not a doctor first. Your husband has to come first. Your wife has to come first in any relationship. Is my marriage perfect? Hell no, it’s not. But I will never disrespect my husband on TV , in public or anywhere else. And I think it’s wrong to do it, and there’s no other way to say it. I cannot put my man down. He is worth more to me than this show.” ATLANTA, GA – MAY 13: TV personalities Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Dr. Damon Kimes attend the “Godzilla” screening at Regal Cinemas Atlantic Station Stadium 16 on May 13, 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Paras Griffin/Getty Images) BOSSIP: What’s your advice to couples who may be going through a tough time? Dr. Heavenly: “I think that in any relationship, there’s no perfect person, but I feel there’s a perfect person for you. And that person is perfect, because they will love you through all of your challenges. And a lot of times, marriages don’t work because you don’t love the person enough to fight for what’s important. When I got married, I didn’t give an option for divorce. And I think that’s so important. And when you come to a problem in your marriage, you’ve gotta have prayer in there. That’s the only way to get by it. There’s no way to get around it without God.” Continue reading

Exclusive: Freeky Zekey Denies Strong-Arming Non-Profit Head; Says Whole Thing Is A Misunderstanding

Freeky Zekey Says Booking Dispute Was A Misunderstanding; Says He Respects Women “Dip Set’s” Freeky Zekey has hit back at a nonprofit head’s claims that he defrauded her for an appearance fee at her charity gala and then threatened her mother for the rest of the dough. Freeky Zekey said the fallout from his appearance at the “Sisters In Charge” masquerade gala last year had been a misunderstanding and said his accuser had been less than professional in her dealings with him. Earlier this week, we revealed Tamara Charles’ claims that Freeky Zekey reneged on their verbal agreement for him to Zeke to co-host her “Sisters In Charge” gala Oct. 14 and perform. Charles said she sent Zekey a $1,600 deposit to secure the deal. But instead, Charles said Zekey arrived 15 minutes before the event ended, underdressed and seemingly intoxicated. She said he hyped the crowd for a few minutes before taking pictures and speaking to “Love & Hip Hop’s” Juju, who was also a special guest. Charles said he still demanded the rest of his booking fee and threatened her and her mother until they came up with the rest. Charles also said Freeky Zekey stole her phone out of her hand, and when she got it back weeks later, it had been reset. But Zekey – whose real name is Ezekiel Giles – wants to tell his side of the story: According to his rep, Zeke acknowledged that he was late to the gala, but was under the impression that the night ended at 1 a.m., not 11 p.m. He said that most artists do not arrive at the beginning of an event, and once he got there was another performer on stage, so he waited his turn. Zekey contends that he got on stage, performed and also made a speech about the importance of domestic violence prevention. He said he asked Charles for the rest of his money – another $1,600 – but Charles said to wait until the end of the night. Zekey said it’s customary to get paid before the artist takes the stage. He said he asked her again a short time later, and she asked him to go outside with her, his rep said. He said Charles handed him an envelope, but it was less than the $1,600. He said by that time, her friends and family came outside, and her mother volunteered to give him the remaining balance. He then followed the mom in his car to a house and then to an ATM. When the mom gave him the additional money, he got on his knees and thanked her. Freeky’s rep showed BOSSIP video and photos of the rapper/hype man performing at the gala – proof that Zekey said he provided to Pay Pal, which is why he was able to keep the initial deposit. He said Charles disputed his fee with Pay Pal some two months after the event. The rapper also denied snatching Charles’ phone. He said her phone was among several phones that were on a table, and he believed it was his. His rep said he mailed the phone back to their mutual friend the following day. “Freekey Zekey has a deep respect for women, having close relationships with his fiance, aunts, nieces, etc…And he finds these accusations deeply upsetting,” his rep told BOSSIP in a statement. “He denies her accusations wholeheartedly.”

Exclusive: Nelly’s Gal Pal Shantel Jackson Denies Fleecing Floyd Mayweather; Says He Was OK With Her Spending Sprees

Getty Images Shantel Jackson Said She Did Not Steal Big Bucks From Ex-Floyd Mayweather As rapper Nelly fights a civil lawsuit for rape, his girlfriend Shantel Jackson may also be headed to a courtroom soon. “The Platinum Life” star has fired back on ex-boyfriend Floyd Mayweather’s claim that she stole cash and used his credit card without permission to fund shopping sprees. The retired pro-boxer said that Jackson hid her alleged ill-gotten gains from him, and he didn’t learn about the thefts until Jackson began bragging about it around town. In her answer, filed Jan. 11 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Jackson, 34, said she did not steal from Mayweather, with whom she was in a relationship with for eight years. Jackson said in court papers that Mayweather condoned her spending and didn’t have a problem with it until they broke up. (Photo by Samir Hussein/Samir Hussein/WireImage) “Cross-complainant consented to the alleged transactions, and/or to cross-defendant’s possession, retention, alleged interference, ownership and control of the disputed property,” Jackon’s answer, obtained by BOSSIP, states. Jackson also said that any legal claim Mayweather may have had was barred by the statute of limitations, and said Mayweather’s own behavior meant he wasn’t entitled to money damages. Jackson said any damage Mayweather may have suffered had nothing to do with her. Jackson – repped by legal eagle Gloria Allred – wants Mayweather’s suit thrown out, her lawyer fees paid and “for such other and further relief as the court may deem just and proper.” A judge has yet to rule on the case.

Exclusive: “Broke” Kendu Isaacs Accuses MJB Profiting Off Their Divorce; Still Owes Him A $346K Salary

LOS ANGELES, CA – NOVEMBER 02: Singer Mary J. Blige and husband Kendu Isaacs arrive at the LACMA 2013 Art + Film Gala at LACMA on November 2, 2013 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Gregg DeGuire/WireImage) Martin “Kendu” Isaacs Says He’s Struggling Since Split From Singer Mary J. Blige’s soon to be ex-husband has accused her of turning a profit on their divorce as he demanded more money from the singer as they continue to battle out in their acrimonious divorce. Isaacs filed paperwork last month accusing the “Real Love” singer of withholding his pay from his work as her personal manager on her “King & Queen of Hearts” tour. Isaacs said Blige currently owes him a total of $345,820, and he hasn’t seen a dime, according to court docs. Blige’s ex also claimed his estranged wife has used him as a punching bag in the press, and despite his “aggressive” efforts, he hasn’t been able to work since she fired him in July 2016. “In fact, petitioner has financially benefitted from this divorce because she used it as a platform to promote her new music, album and tour,” Kendu wrote in court papers which were obtained by BOSSIP. “Since the divorce was initiated, she has released at least two songs that have been dubbed her ‘divorce’ songs. The evidence will show that petitioner reaped a substantial profit from this divorce.” Isaacs, 49, doubled down on his claims that he’s entitled to half of her royalties, residuals and commissions that Mary earned from her music, film and TV work during their nearly 13-year marriage, according to his filing. Isaacs – who recently said the stress of the divorce put him in the hospital – also wants her to pay his attorney’s fees. A judge will now decide how much Isaac deserves when the case heads to trial in March. Isaacs has asked for $65,000 a month in alimony payments for the rest of his life. However, Mary has contended in court papers that the $30,000 a month that she’s already paying him is too much and accused him of misappropriating $420,000 on his mistress. Continue reading

Exclusive: Will You Be Wearing? Yandy Smith-Harris Launches “Yelle” Skincare Line

Reality Star To Drop “Yelle” Skincare Next Month “Love & Hip Hop: New York’s” Yandy Smith-Harris is sharing her beauty secrets with a new line of skincare products for “melanin-rich” complexions. The reality star has made her first foray into the beauty world with “Yelle,” her new line of organic, plant-based skincare products formulated specifically for women of color. Priced from $22 to $34, the “Yelle’s” product line includes items like “Milk & Honey Cleanser” and “Awakening Toner” through its website. Smith-Harris said she got the idea for “Yelle” when she broke out after starting to film “Love & Hip Hop.” “Between doing the show and having babies, my skin care regimen was just whatever I washed my body with, I washed my face with,” Smith-Harris told us. “And that’s kind of how it is in our community, and that’s a no-no.” She said she went to her mother, her girlfriends and the dermatologist – but to no avail. “That’s when I said I wanted to make something to work for women like me,” she said. “We think that black don’t crack, but that’s not the truth.” The mom of three said she spent two years working with chemists to formulate the line, which she said would deliver bright, moist, glowing skin. “We are very particular about the problems we have,” Smith-Harris said. “Right now, my goal is to educate women about taking care of their skin. We take care of our hair…we don’t take care of our skin the way we need to because we believe that black doesn’t crack.”
