The Wanted Have ‘Perfect’ Songs For Justin Bieber, Chris Brown

‘It’s all up for discussion,’ British boy band tells MTV News of potential collabos. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Sway Calloway The Wanted Photo: MTV News With the Wanted already poised to become internationally acclaimed superstars, it makes sense that they would consider pooling their popularity to make music with some equally potent musical forces, like, say, Justin Bieber and Chris Brown. When the band stopped by Tuesday for “MTV First: The Wanted,” Sway brought up the band’s onetime tourmate and asked the boys what they thought of the “Boyfriend” singer. “He was really nice. A really, really nice guy,” Tom Parker said with sincerity, adding that the band and Bieber became so friendly during their joint tour that the Biebs started joking around and ended up playfully smacking bandmate Siva Kaneswaran in a rather — ahem — uncomfortable place. The natural follow-up to that question was whether the fivesome would consider collaborating with Bieber or if they’d discussed music during the tour. The guys all agreed that a collaboration would be fun and even admitted to having a song in mind for them to work on. “We talked about it, and we have a song that we think he’d sound great on,” Jay McGuiness teased. “We’ve talked to Chris Brown as well, which would be really good,” Kaneswaran revealed. “We talked to Chris actually at ‘The Voice,’ and he said he was down as well.” “It’s all up for discussion,” Parker added, as the rest of the guys chimed in: “You never know.” “We have got a song we think would be perfect,” Max George said of Brown. Fingers crossed we can get those guys all in a studio together to crank out their next chart-topper! Stick with MTV News as we roll out more from our exclusive interview with the Wanted! The Wanted’s ‘Chasing The Sun’ Teaser: Watch It Here!

The boy band will premiere the full video tonight at 7:53 ET during ‘MTV First: The Wanted.’ By Christina Garibaldi The Wanted’s “Chasing the Sun” music video Photo: Universal Music Group The Wanted are set to premiere their much-anticipated video for their second U.S. single, “Chasing the Sun,” tonight on MTV. And before the British boy band introduce the full clip and answer fans’ questions, they gave us a little teaser. In the 30-second clip, the fivesome travel the streets of Los Angeles in the middle of the night, with a pack of girls clinging to each of the boys. Intercut with shots of the band on a rooftop singing the chorus of the track, it seems as if the group is literally chasing the sun. Coming up to a gated door, member Tom Parker flashes what looks to be a sun tattoo on his hand, and the guard lets him pass into the sunlight. Not much of the plot is given away in this clip, but when we caught up with the group on the set of the video earlier this month, they teased to their fans what they can expect. “Our song ‘Chasing the Sun’ is basically about the party that keeps on going,” Jay McGuiness said, with pal Max George giving a bit more insight into how that will manifest in the clip: “There’s certain shots which we’ve just done now which are on a rooftop, and then we’re filming all night until 6 in the morning, and then the last shot, I think, will be us just kind of walking away looking rather disheveled,” George explained. This is the third video of the Wanted’s that has been helmed by Director X, who previously worked on the video for their smash single, “Glad You Came.” “You always want to do better than your last song, and we’ve always set a really high standard with ‘Glad You Came’ already,” McGuiness said. “But I think we know now from the singles we’ve got in our pocket, there’s no way we’re going anywhere. We’re here to stay, and our songs are going to get better and better. I’m just bragging right now so hard.” Well, see if the Wanted live up to their expectations when they down with MTV News’ Sway Calloway tonight at 7:53 ET on MTV during “MTV First: The Wanted.” Immediately following the premiere, the band will stay for an additional 30-minute live Q&A on MTV.com and will be taking fan questions, so make sure you submit them via MTV.com or @MTVNews on Twitter, using the hashtags #MTVFirst or #AskTheWanted. REVIEW: Think Like a Man a Rowdy, Charming Battle of the Sexes — With Steve Harvey

Like  He’s Just Not That Into You and  What to Expect When You’re Expecting ,  Think Like a Man is a film adapted from a book that offers advice instead of a story — Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man , a bestselling dating guide for women from comedian and TV host Steve Harvey. If the work was actually as life-changing and popular when it was published as the movie suggests, I must have missed all the women fighting each other over copies in the aisles of stores (an actual scene). But despite its cloying genuflections to its source material,  Think Like a Man  is rowdy and funny and showcases an immensely likable ensemble cast it uses to delineate its war between the sexes. The film centers around a group of male friends who conveniently illustrate the personality types Harvey outlines in the book. There’s Zeke (Romany Malco), the player who’s able to sneak past the most bristly of defenses but has no interest in sneaking around, and Dominic (Michael Ealy), the dreamer, whose inability to actually move forward with his goals has driven everyone he’s dated nuts. Jeremy (Jerry Ferrara), the non-committer, has been in a nine-year relationship with a long-suffering girlfriend weary of living in an apartment that looks like a dorm room; Michael (Terrence J) is the momma’s boy who’s still letting his mother do his laundry. Bennett (Gary Owen) is happily married (and, as Jeremy points out, so white that he’s basically “clear”), while Cedric (Kevin Hart), the film’s narrator, describes himself as even more happily divorced and is forever frequenting strip clubs name things like The Sweaty Crack and The Ass Factory. Paired up against them are Mya (Meagan Good), Lauren (Taraji P. Henson), Kristen (Gabrielle Union) and Candace (Regina Hall), women who are looking for stable relationships and, in the case of Kristen, a ring. After seeing Harvey on Oprah, the women all end up buying his book and following his advice, to the dismay of the guys they’re seeing. There’s a lot of potential for this set-up to be a retrograde one about landing your man — Mya in particular decides to adhere to a The Rules -esque regimen of refusing to get into a car unless the door’s opened for her and saying no to sex for the first 90 days of a relationship. But the book gets used more as a means of exploring gender power balance than as a way to trick guys into heading down the aisle — the movie certainly firmly believes in commitment and stepping up and that it’s no hardship to make a few compromises in order to sustain a relationship. For the most part, it’s the guys in  Think Like a Man  who have to figure the above out, and it’s presented not like a surrender but as a dawning realization — the women in the film are shown to be outpacing the men in terms of ambition and emotional maturity, and are largely waiting for them to catch up. The exception also happens to be the most interesting pairing of the bunch — Lauren, a high-powered Fortune 500 COO who’s been unable to find someone who matches her in terms of success and salary, and Dominic, who’s good with grand gestures but is a broke catering waiter and would-be chef. Henson and Ealy have an irresistibly off-beat chemistry together, and it’s she who has to make the adjustment in learning to deal with dating someone she initially feels isn’t on her level. It’s tough to buy anyone as phenomenally good-looking as Ealy being a perpetual romantic failure, but Henson’s also cast interestingly against type, her giggly warmth going against the typical portrayals of tightly wound workaholics. It’s been a decade since Tim Story directed  Barbershop , but his facility with shooting how friends hang out remains unchanged.  Think Like a Man  divides its time between its various romances and scenes of the characters discussing those love lives with their cohorts, either in a group for the guys, or with the close gal pals each of the women has been given. Some familiar but functional jokes are made about the gender divide — after Candace meets Michael at the book store (you can guess what title she’s there to pick up), her account of him to her bestie Lauren (“soulful” and “sensitive”) is intercut with Michael’s more, er, physical description of her to the boys. Think Like a Man ‘s set in a sleek, upscale version of Los Angeles, the racial makeup of its ensemble neither a thematic focus nor left uncommented on — it’s just another part of the goodnatured banter thrown around between the guys. Hart is made to carry a large part of the comedic burden, and while his motormouthed shtick is initially tiresome, he gets funnier and funnier as the film goes along, shining especially when he insists his friends play what turns out to be a selection of professional basketball players (including Ron Artest and Lisa Leslie) for the right to their court. Chris Brown is among the other celebrity cameos, and actually manages to be amusing as a shifty lothario who creeps out of Mya’s bed after a night together and keeps getting her name wrong when he runs into her on the street. And of course, there’s Harvey himself, appearing to deliver lectures on various TV screens. With characters this charming, his appearances feel more like intrusions, but it’s entertaining to see the various women try out his recommended lines on their men — “What are your long-term goals?” Follow Alison Willmore on Twitter . One Direction Prove Themselves During ‘SNL’ Debut

The boys also show off acting chops during ‘Manuel Ortiz Show’ sketch. By James Dinh One Direction performs on SNL Photo: NBC It’s usually the more seasoned artists that take to the “Saturday Night Live” stage as musical guests, but this season of the late-night NBC show has welcomed newer acts to provide entertainment mid-laughs. Back in January, Lana Del Rey raised eyebrows for delivering a pair of performances that didn’t sit right with critics. And on Saturday night, it was One Direction, who continued their Stateside domination with some smooth performances on the Sofia Vergara-hosted episode of “SNL.” Beginning with their mega-smash “What Makes You Beautiful,” One Direction worked each side of the Studio 8H stage. Dressed in blazers, vests and cardigans, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan crooned the feel-good track while showing off their boyish charm. When the boys reappeared later on for a performance of their song “One Thing,” they came with a bit more playfulness. As one of the groups behind the recent boy-band resurgence, the guys proved they have more than enough talent, teenage allure and overall packaging to keep them on the charts. 1D also got into the acting action when they made a brief appearance on “The Manuel Ortiz Show” skit. With the help of some wigs and mustaches, the British pop band acted as Spanish children of a rather dysfunctional family. And like all guests on Manuel’s show, the singers strutted onto the stage doing the skit’s signature dance. One Directioners got a double-dose of acting from the boys when they made their national television acting debut on Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” earlier in the evening. MTV News recently caught up with some of the show’s actors, who had nothing but positive things to say about the British music sensations. While iCarly herself, Miranda Cosgrove, found the bandmates “really funny,” another castmate, Nathan Krauss, admitted his initial uncertainty in regards to their acting chops. “Having One Direction on set was really cool. We didn’t really know what to expect from them, because we had heard that they didn’t really have any acting experience because they have a lot of lines and are almost in every scene,” the actor explains. “But we were all very pleasantly surprised. They did very, very well, especially Harry, because he had to pretend to be sick the whole time.” What did you think of One Direction’s “SNL” set? Tell us below! All Out Baseball Brawl Of Rival High School Teams [Video]

You know you are already wondering if the police were called, since they look all white: In the wake of this week’s junior varsity tournament baseball game that ended in a brawl, parents said eight JV players have been suspended and kicked off the Yuba City High School team. Officials at Yuba City Unified School District would not confirm the punishment meted out so far, but parents said they’ve spoken among themselves and many think the punishment was too extreme. “Was our pitcher wrong? Absolutely. Nobody is denying that. However, are our boys supposed to sit back while their whole dugout comes and tackles our pitcher?,” asked parent Stacy Todd, referring to the moment in the game when the pitcher for the Yuba City team threw a baseball at the first base coach after he’d allegedly called the pitcher’s mother an insulting name. Todd’s son Camryn was suspended for five days for admitting he’d thrown a punch during the fracas. She said her son did not expect to be banned from baseball for the season. “He’s devastated. He had no idea he would be kicked off the team,” Todd said. Several students at Yuba City High School said they had mixed feelings about the punishment. “I think he was just defending his mom, but I don’t think he needed to go that far as to throw the ball and rush on the coach,” Yuba City High freshman Lissette Luney said. Meanwhile, veteran umpire Sarjeet Singh said officials have to keep control of a game. “Basically, you have to see those things coming,” Singh said. “Sometimes you don’t, you don’t. But, I feel at the high school level you can see it coming.” RELATED STORY: Districts investigate brawl at youth baseball game Monday’s game at Granite Bay between Del Campo and Yuba City ended in a fight, which for a time was posted on YouTube. In the video, it appears that members of the Yuba City team charge onto the field and fighting erupts. “The administration and adults are ultimately responsible for what occurred on the baseball field,” Singh said. “They have to assume responsibility for the situation and dish out punishment as needed.” Some parents said they believe part of the blame lies on the officiating. There was only one umpire working the game, the normal number for JV baseball. “Certainly, the more adults the better,” San Juan Unified School District spokesperson Trent Allen said. “But, you do have multiple coaches, you have the ump and you hopefully have caring parents, hopefully setting a good example for students.” Although, in the video, a person who appears to be a parent is clearly seen running onto the field. “They’re trying to help,” Singh said. “But, really they’re just fueling the fire… Between the lines, no parent belongs on a baseball diamond!” Investigations by both the Yuba City Unified School District and San Juan Unified School District are underway. If warranted, punishment could range from a single game suspension to expulsion from school. “The consequences that are at hand for this kind of thing would be suspension from school, suspension from the team, being removed from the team, being placed up for expulsion,” Yuba City Unified School District Superintendent Nancy Aaberg said. “Any of our players who came out of the dugout and threw punches would certainly face disciplinary action,” Allen said. “And then, of course, we’ll look at how our adults behaved as well.” Image And Source News10/KXTV More On Bossip! More Racial Profiling: Texas Woman Tells 13-Year-Old Go Cart Rider “You Don’t Belong In This Neighborhood” After Jumping Curb In Her Jeep To Hit Him Head On!!!

White Woman Intentionally Drives Vehicle Into Go-Cart Ridden By Two Black Teens In Pearland, TX Yo what is really hood with these crazy people trying to “detain” young black males because they don’t want them in their neighborhoods??? We just caught wind of this case going in Texas right now of a white woman who intentionally ran off the road to ram into some 13-year-old boys riding go-carts. Is anybody even surprised she hasn’t been arrested??? “You don’t belong in this neighborhood!” These are the words that Jules Moor, a 13-year old black child, says that Deanna Johnson, a middle-aged white female, said to him after Johnson slammed her 2011 Jeep Wrangler into his go-cart on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. According to court documents obtained from Jules’ attorney, Sylvester Anderson, Jules went for a ride in his go-cart in his neighborhood with another 13-year old boy who had been spending spring break with the Moor family. A third minor boy, another friend of Jules’, rode a small bicycle behind the go-cart. Jules saw two cars behind him while driving back home, so he decided to drive his go-cart completely off the road to his right onto the grassy edge of the neighborhood park to avoid being in the way of traffic. It is then that Jules states that Johnson swung her vehicle across the south-bound lane of the road, ran over the curb onto the grass and deliberately and intentionally rammed her vehicle head-on into the go-cart. According to Jules, Johnson got out of her vehicle and confronted the boys in a hostile and threatening manner yelling “Where do you live? Who are your parents?” while shaking her finger at the kids. Jules goes on to say, “With all due respect, Ma’am, I live down the street,” to which Johnson allegedly tells him that she didn’t care and that she was calling the police. Jules called his mother and told her that Johnson had hit his go-cart and didn’t know why. “He thought he was going to die,” said Theresa Moor, mother of Jules. “All I could do was stop what I was doing, grab my keys and make my way to my child.” Poor baby, he was just being a kid having fun and this lady wants to physically hate on him and his friends — she could have killed them! Then she probably would have said they threatened to kill her. But wait — here is more craziness… This broad tried to give Jules’ mom the “talk to the hand” treatment when she arrived on the scene: As Theresa arrived, she saw that the go-cart had been damaged severely and learned from Jules that Johnson had accused the boys of not living in the neighborhood. As Theresa approached Johnson to find out what happened, Johnson put her palm up to her face in a dismissive manner, refused to talk, went back to her truck and rolled up the windows. Frustrated at the way things were transpiring, Theresa contacted the police and several Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputies arrived. According to Theresa, she overheard Johnson claim that she was trying to “detain” the boys because they looked like some kids that they had seen earlier riding bicycles onto the driveways of houses in the neighborhood. Jules and the other 13-year old boy in the go-cart sustained back and neck injuries as a result of the wreck. The boys had collars placed on their necks, were placed on stretchers and taken by ambulance to the emergency room of Southeast Memorial Hermann Hospital. They were treated and released, but Jules has since been diagnosed with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and is seeing a therapist regularly. Jules Moor’s mother says he’s been traumatized by the incident, and much like George Zimmerman — Deanna Johnson hasn’t been arrested or punished for what she did: “My son is not the same,” says Theresa. “He doesn’t want to play outside anymore or leave the house alone. I just don’t know why she did this to my child.” It is still unclear why Johnson decided to do what she did. Johnson never apologized for ramming her truck into the go-cart and jeopardizing the lives of the three children and according to witnesses, was seen laughing as she spoke with the Sheriff’s deputies. Johnson was not arrested or drug-tested upon the admission of her actions. The Sheriff’s department Captain that came on the scene decided not to arrest Johnson upon consulting with the District Attorney. Johnson has responded to the Moor family’s claims via the following statement : “As a mother of two children, I was concerned for the safety of these kids because they were driving their vehicle erratically and at high speeds through the neighborhood and also came dangerously close to a lake. When I saw them driving erratically for the second or third time that evening, I pulled my vehicle over and stopped” she wrote. “They were still driving fast and because they had driven onto a grass area, when they hit the brakes to stop, they skidded and ran into my vehicle after I had stopped. This is about the safety of children and nothing more.” Likely story lady. Itchbay please… Hit the flip for a video about the incident that includes interviews with the Sheriff and Jules’ father.

Black Keys (Sort Of) Retract Nickelback Dis

‘There’s much worse bands than Nickelback. Maybe,’ drummer Patrick Carney said. By Gil Kaufman Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys Photo: Jakubaszek/ Getty Images The MTV Canada, they apologized to the Alberta-bred rockers … kind of. “I didn’t mean to single them out actually,” explained a laughing Carney. “It just came out. There’s much worse bands than Nickelback … maybe … That was the worst apology.” “That was terrible, man,” singer Dan Auerbach told his pal about his quarter-hearted mea culpa. Asked if perhaps they were just music snobs, Carney said no, but Auerbach admitted that perhaps he was. “I think I am probably, a little bit … I bet I am,” he said. “I don’t like bad music, but look, I’ve got a lot of friends and not one of them has a Nickelback record,” added Carney. “I’m not a small minority.” What was that he said about the worst apology ever? It got better, though. Without naming names this time, Carney elaborated that, “there are certain bands that make me embarrassed to be …” to which Auerbach chimed in, “human?” “On Earth,” Carney clarified. “Like, they make me actually want to take a spaceship away. I want to get that far away from them.” Carney realized his “apology” might not wash, so when the interviewer asked whether it might get awkward if the Keys run into Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger at an industry awards show or other official function, he said, “he’d probably punch us in the face. I wouldn’t talk to him.” Related Videos MTV First: The Black Keys’ ‘Gold On The Ceiling’ Related Artists The Black Keys

Should Fergie Judge The X Factor?

The X Factor carousel has stopped spinning on Fergie. At this exact moment, at least. This member of The Black Eyed Peas is reportedly the latest big name under consideration by Simon Cowell and company , as sources tell Life & Style “there have been some conversations” between the singer and producers, but: “It’s in the early stages.” Other possibilities for the judging panel – which we know will include Cowell and L.A. Reid – reportedly include Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Britney Spears. George Clooney’s girlfriend, Stacey Keibler, is supposedly a candidate for one of the two hosting gigs available. If nothing else, the massive layoffs of Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul have certainly kept The X Factor in the news.
