‘Spider-Man 2’ villain stars as a CIA agent looking to track down a runaway teenager in the upcoming thriller. By Josh Wigler Taylor Lautner Photo: Cohen/ WireImage The people responsible for director John Singleton’s “Abduction” are starting to come together, as Deadline Hollywood reports that “Spider-Man 2” actor Alfred Molina will join “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner for the upcoming action thriller. “Abduction” tells the story of a teenager (Lautner) who discovers that the parents who raised him are not his biological parents after all. When he reaches out to his birth parents, the hero finds himself tangled up in a web of deception, danger and espionage as he runs for his life. According to Deadline, Molina will play the role of “a dogged CIA agent who is one step behind Lautner but determined to bring him in alive.” The previously cast Lily Collins, who starred in last year’s “The Blind Side,” joins Lautner on the run as his character’s love interest. Molina will next be seen on the big screen alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in director Mike Newell’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” based on the hit video game franchise. He also stars as Maxim Horvath opposite Nicolas Cage in “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” set for release later this year. In 2004, Molina performed his highest-profile role to date as mad scientist Otto Octavius, a.k.a. Doc Ock, in the second “Spider-Man” film. “Abduction” is just one of many film projects currently in the works for Lautner. He’s also signed on to starring roles in martial-arts thriller “Cancun” and superhero film “Stretch Armstrong,” based on the action-figure franchise from Hasbro. He’ll also reprise his role as Jacob Black for “Breaking Dawn,” the final installment in the “Twilight” series, directed by Bill Condon . ‘I think everyone’s pretty much replaceable at the end of the day,’ ‘Twilight’ co-star admits. By Jocelyn Vena Elizabeth Reaser Photo: MTV News Elizabeth Reaser knows she will be back for more action as vampire mom Esme Cullen when “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” begins shooting. But if she’s got the inside scoop on what’s up with co-stars Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene , who are reportedly renegotiating their salaries for the two-party conclusion to the franchise, she’s not letting on. “I mean, I go online and try and figure out what’s going on on the Internet,” she revealed to MTV News this week, when she stopped by the offices to talk about “Eclipse.” “That’s really how I get information for the most part, but I’m really excited. You probably have more up-to-the-minute information than I do. That’s how I find stuff out, on weird websites. “I think we’re still, like, ironing out [my contract], but yeah, I’m doing it,” she continued, noting that if you want any more info on the rest of the gang, she’s not the girl to come to for it. “I try and stay as far away from these types of situations as much as possible.” So, how would Reaser feel if Lutz and Greene couldn’t come to an agreement on time? “I don’t know. I think everyone’s pretty much replaceable at the end of the day. I think that’s true of everyone everywhere, except for the Beyonc

Director of the first Twilight film Catherine Hardwicke, an American production designer and film director, expressed her feelings towards the current salary dispute that involves Ashley Greene who plays “Alice Cullen” and Kellan Lutz who plays “Emmett Cullen” in the movie series Twilight. “It would really break my heart if they were replaced, but it could happen. Things could turn ugly quickly,” Hardwicke said this weekend at the Twilight Convention in Vancouver, Canada. Lutz and Greene reportedly had a three-picture deal, which already expired. They are trying to score paydays of about $1.5 million as work begins on the fourth movie installment “Breaking Dawn”. Hardwicke says the young actors might not even be all that involved in the negotiations. “They have all these people and outside influences telling you what to do,” Hardwicke said. “They tell you to hold out for this much because you’re such an important part of the franchise, and everyone is telling you to ask for more.” But it’s a dangerous game, she adds – pointing to the case of Rachelle Lefevre, who was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard for Eclipse. “A lot of stuff can get mishandled and misunderstood,” she said. “That is what happened with Rachelle Lafevre.” Do they actually deserve more money? Hard to say. “Probably they do deserve more money, on one level,” Hardwicke says. “But if everybody makes so much money then … [shrugs]. It is very complicated. Oh my, it is such a mess. I really hope they can sort it out because it would be a shame to lose any actors.” Catherine Hardwicke Expressed Her Feelings Over Lutz and Greene’s Salary Dispute is a post from: Daily World Buzz Continue reading

‘I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road,’ ‘Twilight’ star says during ‘Oprah’ taping. By Eric Ditzian Kristen Stewart Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images The big Kristen Stewart-related news of the week is that “Breaking Dawn” has, at long last, been gifted with a release date . But a smaller, though no less intriguing, nugget of KStew-y goodness dropped on Wednesday (May 5), when the 20-year-old actress paid a visit to “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Stewart is attached to the long-gestating adaptation of “On the Road,” the seminal 1957 novel by Jack Kerouac that came to define the Beat Generation, according to USA Today . “I am very much attached to a movie that has been trying to get made forever,” she told the paper while in Chicago for the “Oprah” taping. “Not that this is going to help it, but maybe I can just brag a little bit. I am super excited about it, too. I am about to play Marylou in ‘On the Road.’ So that’s a big deal.” Marylou is the wife of Dean Moriarity, the disaffected drifter at the center of Kerouac’s book. “Tron Legacy” star Garrett Hedland is reportedly set to play Moriarity , while little-known British actor Sam Riley will play Sal Paradise, Kerouac’s narrator and Moriarity’s worshipful, cross-country driving buddy. Walter Salles (“The Motorcycle Diaries”) has been tapped as director. USA Today reports that the film is gearing up to start filming this summer, after filmmakers like Gus Van Sant and Francis Ford Coppola have tried for years to adapt Kerouac’s film for the big screen. The summer shoot should end well in advance of the start of filming on “Breaking Dawn” this fall. The final film in the “Twilight” franchise will hit theaters on November 18, 2011. What do you think of Kristen’s new role? Let us know in the comments below! For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .

Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz are reportedly asking for $4 million apiece for new ‘Twilight’ films. By Adam Rosenberg Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz Photo: Jon Kopaloff/ Getty Images A bomb dropped on Tuesday in “Twilight” land: As actor contracts are being renegotiated to account for a two-part telling of “Breaking Dawn,” the final chapter in the series, a number of key supporting players have been angling for more money. Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz are said to be the major holdouts, and late on Tuesday reports surfaced that they want $4 million apiece for each of the two “Breaking Dawn” films. EW.com ‘s Hollywood Insider reports that Greene and Lutz were initially joined by their Cullen siblings, Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone, in asking for a pay raise. Sources say that Reed has had a change of heart, and her deal is now close to being finalized at $750,000-$1 million for each film. Where Rathbone stands is unclear at this point. While Greene and Lutz don’t have nearly as much screen time as franchise stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, they’re reportedly arguing that their press and publicity commitments match those of the headliners, and they therefore deserve the increased pay, especially in light of the movies’ success. Bear in mind that all of this information comes from unnamed sources. Summit Entertainment and the individual actors’ reps are either refusing to comment or simply haven’t been reached for comment. Some sources say that Greene and Lutz asked for $4 million per film while another states that they just want “$1 million or more.” Whatever the facts are, it’s clear that something is holding up any formal confirmations on “Breaking Dawn” beyond the reveal of Bill Condon as director and the November 18, 2011 release date. Do you agree that Ashley and Kellan deserve a raise? Sound off in the comments.
