“The View’s” Sherri Shepherd married fiance Lamar Sally over the weekend in Chicago. Sherri’s son Jeffrey walked his mom down the aisle for her second marriage. Sherri tells Life & Style magazine: “Second chances really do happen, and I got mine! I’m married now!” The bride wore a custom Rivini gown, and her bridesmaids, which included Niecy Nash, Kim Whitley and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, wore custom gowns made by Carmen Marc Valvo. The wedding will be shown on The Style Network in a special titled “Wedding Fabulous: Sherri Shepherd Gets Married,” on Tuesday, September 13. Congrats to the happy couple! Movieline’s own Jen Yamato saw Bridesmaids at SXSW and declared it a magnificent crowd-pleaser and the best R-rated comedy since The Hangover . I believe her! But I can’t believe the tone set by the new Bridesmaids trailer, which undersells the movie’s intelligence and goes for cheap romcom laughs. Rage!
