Britney Spears is NOT ready for the end of summer. The pop star has made this clear with a couple of bikini photos of late, and while we share that sentiment, Labor Day is really only the unofficial end … especially if you live in SoCal with its year-round warmth and sunshine. But we get the point. “Having some fun in the sun… don’t want summer to be over” she Tweeted yesterday afternoon, presenting this pic to more than 19,900,000 followers: The previous Britney Spears bikini pic we posted expressed a similar view of life. With the X Factor starting up, she is going to be much busier soon. Speaking of, check out the new Britney-centric promo. Dare we say it … our girl looks like she might be pretty entertaining on the Fox competition:

This bikini pic would be more interesting if Britney was Twerking, or tweaking or anything with some personality….but I’ll take a bikini pic for old times, sure she’s a fragment and medicated version of the Britney Spears we all used to masturbate too…and she’s far more stable and boring then the days of shaving her head….and her body is far less fun to laugh at then when she was fat and covered in Cheeto dust, or when she was 19 and in leather for music videos….but she’s still Britney Spears…a broken soul who was destroyed ad taken advantage of by a man…willing to be broken and taken adavantage of again..too tired to put up a fight and if that isn’t sexy….I don’t know what is…

Honey Boo Boo Mother Defends, Explains Arrest Record

It’s a matter of public record: June Shannon , the… eccentric mother of six-year old Alana Thompson (aka “Honey Boo Boo”) was arrested in 2008 on a count related to a child support issue. She also faced a theft charge around that time, but both cases were dismissed. In March, meanwhile, child services looked into the Thompsons after Honey Boo Boo was featured on an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras chugging a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew dubbed by Alana as “Go-Go Juice.” Is that something the family gives its toddler often? No, June tells People : “It was a one time only thing. We don’t do it.” What about when a video surfaced of Honey Boo Boo dancing on a bar, another incident investigated by the the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services? “It was the worst four days of my whole entire life,” June says, explaining that the bar appearance was “a meet-and-greet at a concert” and: “After I left, I realized, ‘I’m not gonna put Alana in that situation again because it was crazy.'” Coming from June Shannon, that’s really saying something.

Britney Spears-Jason Trawick Wedding: Still On!

Britney Spears is NOT experiencing cold feet and is still very much planning to wed Jason Trawick, despite a tabloid report to the contrary, sources say. The Britney rumor was published by Us Weekly , which also proclaims Bachelorette Emily Maynard was caught cheating on Jef Holm in this week’s issue. We’re finding it hard to believe either story even a little bit, at least as it stands now. Says a source close to the singer/soon-to-be X Factor judge: “There’s no truth to any second thoughts about their wedding. They’re fine and both look forward to working again when The X Factor gets started.” “They’ve had a great summer.” Speculation about trouble between Spears and Jason Trawick swirled recently when she was photographed outside court without her engagement ring. But, according to the source, “she was not wearing her ring because she took it off during an Elizabeth Arden [photo] shoot and Jason was holding it.” “He simply forgot to give it back until later that day.” Perfectly logical. As far as walking down the aisle goes, the insider says, the two aren’t in a huge rush, and she’s beyond thrilled for when they do. “Even though Britney has been married before, she looks at her wedding to Jason as her real wedding and is so, so excited,” the source says. If we’d been married to Kevin Federline , we’d want a do-over too. Tell us what you think: Will Britney and Jason last?

Britney Spears, Mars Curiosity Tweet About Space

Britney Spears is apparently is on top of current events. The singer, or whatever intern she has running her Twitter, was tweeting at NASA’s Mars Curiosity rover earlier this week, and it was pretty funny! The singer wrote, “So @MarsCuriosity… does Mars look the same as it did in 2000?” She included a link to her video for “Oops!…I Did It Again.” Britney “visited” Mars in that video … playing out an interplanetary love story and setting an intergalactic camel toe record with her red latex catsuit. The best part? Mars Curiosity responded! From the red planet (or at least the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.), the Cur-zizzle took a break from collecting samples to post: Ooh, these two are totally flirting. Should Jason Trawick be worried? Side note #1: Did NASA Mohawk Guy Bobak Ferdowsi write that? Side note #2: That video came out 12 years ago, yet Britney Spears’ career is still going strong despite a series of ups and downs. Impressive, B!

Kelly Clarkson Covers Eminem, Wins the Internet

It might not get any more awesome than Kelly Clarkson. The original American Idol is touring the country at the moment, taking fan requests at each stop and then covering classic tracks. She recently knocked Anna Nalick’s ” Breathe ” out of the impressive park and prior to that she went with a Britney Spears single . But outside of Detroit last night, Clarkson put on her coolest performance yet, donning a grey hoodie and making like Eminem. Watch her version of “Lose Yourself” now, compare it to when Taylor Swift also covered this rap smash and then decide: Who did it better?
