Britney Spears Set To Audition Dancers For Music Video

By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Eric Charbonneau/ Le Studio/ Wireimage Although Britney Spears’ next album isn’t set for release until March, her fans can start gearing up for new music now. According to a Spears fansite, BreatheHeavy.com , a notice about auditions for a new Britney video was sent out by her camp. Tryouts will reportedly be held on Wednesday (December 22), and Spears is looking for male and female dancers to join her in the video for the single, which is set for a January release, according to the notice. “Hold It Against Me” is rumored to be the title of the song, though no details regarding the single or video have been confirmed. “The dates for the project are still to be determined but it will be happening on either the 9th and 10th of January with rehearsals anytime after Xmas and leading up to those dates or on the 15th and 16th with rehearsals leading in after Xmas as well,” the notice reads. “He is looking for men and women with fabulous bodies and faces. They must be versatile. This is not for the tour at this time or even promo. It is just for the video.” Spears’ choreographer, Brian Freidman, hinted about the auditions on his Twitter . He has worked with the singer on videos for “Toxic” and “Me Against the Music.” “Countdown… 2 days till that very special audition I am holding in LA. Very exciting!!!” he wrote on Monday. On Tuesday he wrote, “Breaking my body choreographing for 2moros casting. Get ready! I’m makin y’all work for this gig! The start of a new era! Stretch!!! I must go 2 bed NOW! Have 2 B up in 6 hours! With the album due out in March , and a single expected to drop before then, details are slowly emerging about the music and what it was like to work with Spears on the follow-up to 2008’s Circus . “Right now we are preparing for Britney’s upcoming album, which will be released in March. Some other things too, but the main focus is the album,” Swedish producer Shellback said in a recent radio interview . “It works in many different ways [when you work with Britney]. You can make something absolutely new, or take a beat that’s three years old and come up with a good sound.” Shellback, who worked with Pink on “Raise Your Glass,” collaborated with Dr. Luke and Max Martin on music for Spears. The producers are donating a guitar they used on the album to charity. “[Britney]’s actually damn professional. You read a lot on the Internet that Britney is not singing and mimes, but she is actually damn professional,” Shellback said. “She’s done it since she was 16. And just rhythmic way, she is f—ing awesome! And you do not have to go through and talk about the rhythms and stuff that you sometimes have to do. In the wake of reports about Jason Trawick’s alleged abuse of Britney Spears , the star and her camp are doing all they can to paint a picture of happiness. Right after the scandal broke, Trawick whisked her off to a private, $5,000 a night villa in Conchas Chinas, Mexico, to mark her 29th birthday last week. The duo denies and shrugs off the abuse rumor, with her telling Us , “My birthday weekend away with Jason was amazing. Best birthday of my life!” Are Britney Spears and Jason Trawick really happy? Are we getting the whole truth about what happened between the lovebirds? [Photo: Pacific Coast News] There have been several theories, ranging from the star’s camp planting the rumor to generate buzz for her new album to Team Spears laboring to cover it up. Some think the Mexican getaway was merely a publicity stunt designed to make the troubled couple appear happy. In truth, some say the superstar is trapped. “Britney is a cash cow,” an insider says . “Her parents and management are trying to keep the scandal under wraps so it doesn’t affect her career – or the paychecks.” What we don’t understand is why, even if Britney Spears supposedly called Jason Alexander to vent about the abuse by Trawick, he would record the call. Was he looking to sell her out for money? And did he edit it himself? Why did experts conclude the tape was doctored ? Did Star know it was doctored? If abuse did take place, we can understand why Brit would not want it to go public, but why stay with Jason and go through this charade afterward? The whole thing is very suspicious. As you’ve probably heard, Britney Spears has been hit with serious allegations from Star and Radar Online, both of which claim the star’s boyfriend abused her. Britney purportedly called her ex-husband, Jason Alexander, to tell him about a beating she suffered at the hands of Jason Trawick . He has a recording of this. Now, both Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, and Trawick himself have strongly denied the allegations in a statement issued wide and posted on Britney’s site. The statement by Spears’ reps reads as follows: “Every aspect of the story published by Star Magazine is completely and utterly false and Star Magazine was informed of the falsity before it was published.” “The statements attributed to Jason Alexander are a complete fabrication as Britney has not had any form of communication with Mr. Alexander in years.” “The audio recording posted on Radar Online purporting to be between Britney Spears and Jason Alexander is so obviously fake as to be laughable.” “Suffice it to say, that Jason Trawick has never laid a hand on Britney.” “This is just another example of the irresponsible nature of the tabloid media relying on shoddy sources and false information for the sole purpose of selling magazines, without regard to the truth and without regard to who they hurt in the process.” “These irresponsible statements are defamatory and Britney Spears’ legal team will be taking legal action against all of the appropriate parties.” Earlier in the day, Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush also spoke with Jason Trawick directly, who said the assault allegations came out of nowhere. Trawick told Bush that he’s been busy arranging a charity screening of Secretariat for some children in the Valley and prepping for Spears’ birthday on Thursday. He added that the voice on the recording, posted on Radar , was clearly not Brit’s. When contacted by Access Hollywood earlier on Wednesday, David Perel, Executive Vice President of Radar Online , claimed that the recording was “100 percent verified” and a rep for Star responded that, “ Star stands by its story.” Hey, what do they have to lose at this point?
