The Details Tail: Celebrity Nudity on DVD and Blu-ray 4.30.13 [PICS]

This week on DVD/Blu-ray, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence continues her non-nude streak in The Silver Linings Playbook (2012), but Brea Bee provides the spill-ver lining by baring boobs and butt in the shower. Next up Bella Heathcote bares her bells getting banged Not Fade Away (2012), and Natalie Martinez appears topless in a movie-within-a-movie for Broken City (2013). Finally, the notoriously skingy Elizabeth Banks gives us a great rear view shot of her bare butt while banging Tobey Maguire in the bathroom for The Details (2012). Thanks for the spanks, Banks! Chastain Rules, Schwarzenegger Drools As ‘Mama,’ ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ Rule Box Office

The box office has spoken! Jessica Chastain scored the top two weekend spots over Arnold Schwarzenegger ( The Last Stand ) and the double-whammy of Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe ( Broken City ) as the Guillermo del Toro -produced fantasy horror Mama scored a #1 debut with $28.1 million and Zero Dark Thirty stepped into second place. (Oscar rival Jennifer Lawrence didn’t come out so bad herself as Silver Linings Playbook expanded to #3 in wide release the same weekend she tenderly slammed her fellow Best Actress contenders on Saturday Night Live .) More power to the ladies! But where, oh where, did Arnold land in his big action comeback? Schwarzenegger’s breezy actioner The Last Stand showed a surprising lack of muscle over the MLK holiday weekend, raking in just $6.7 million over three days and calling into question the potency of the ex-Governator’s screen appeal as it shuffled into tenth place at the box office. Tenth place. Ouch. Broken City , Fox’s Wahlberg-Crowe mano-a-mano crime pic, also debuted to rather limp returns, with a $9.5 million estimated weekend take (numbers via Deadline ). But if Arnie’s box office cache was proven less brawny than expected, the Best Actress-nominated duo of Chastain and Lawrence reflected strong appeal for both Oscar contenders, both of whom notched Golden Globes wins last weekend. For Chastain’s part, the genre gamble that is the feral child-ghost mother pic Mama could have thrown a wrench into her awards campaign but paid off; it currently sits at a better-than-most-horror-pics 62 percent rating at Rotten Tomatoes, but had some pundits wondering if Universal’s timing of the film’s release was part of a crafty plot to ruin the awards season momentum of her campaign for Sony’s Zero Dark Thirty . But audiences came for a double dose of Chastain in two very different roles — one in a prestige pic that underscored Chastain’s steely strength in a man’s world ( ZDT ), the other a genre pic built around an emotionally distant character gradually embracing her latent maternal instincts ( Mama ). Meanwhile, Silver Linings Playbook and its swelling Oscar momentum continues to be owned by Lawrence, whose audience appeal was solidified by SNL ‘s solid ratings Saturday night. With almost exactly a month left before Oscar ballots are due, this race is just starting to get good. The Rap Career Is Probably A Wrap: 50 Cent Signs Up For New Movie And Starts Planning His Next Two

Welp. Looks like Bugsy is finally accepting that his rap career will never make it back to what it was in 2008. Via AllHipHop.com : 50 Cent will star in a new action thriller movie titled “The Pursuit,” which will be directed by Jesse Terrero, who has also signed a three-picture deal with the rapper’s Cheetah Vision Films and Emmett/Furla Films. The movie centers around a cop and a criminal, who are teamed together by accident in pursuit of a bank robber who has crossed both men. During the movie, a U.S. Marshal hunts both men to prevent them from killingnthe escaped robber before he is brought back to justice. The movie, which is slated to begin production February 15th in Louisiana, is one of nine films the Cheetah Vision/Emmett Furla partnership will produce this year and one of the ten that will be distributed under a distribution deal with Lionsgate. Emmett / Furla is currently taking advantage of $250 million in funding to produce a slew of movies, including “Broken City” starring Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe and “Frozen Ground” starring John Cusak, Nicolas Cage and Vanessa Hudgens and others. Now if we could just break him and his boo boo Floyd up and teach him to stop picking on Game…

Mark Wahlberg and Allen Hughes May Team On Noir Crime Drama Broken City

This is a fiery matchup for the ages: Mark Wahlberg (who once sparred with Eminem on Total Request Live ), and director/producer Allen Hughes (who once sued Tupac Shakur for attacking him on the set of a music video), may join forces on Broken City , “a noir-style drama about an ex-cop turned private detective who is hired by the mayor to see if his wife is cheating on him.” Ooh. Vertigo meets Chinatown meets even more shadows. For novelty’s sake, I hope they throw in a fight with a rapper. [ Deadline ]

Mark Wahlberg Gives Thanks For ‘The Fighter,’ ‘The Other Guys’ In 2010

He’s also thankful for ‘Boardwalk Empire’ — and we’re thankful for him. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Mark Wahlberg Photo: MTV News Next up on our short list of people for whom we’re most thankful this year: Mark Wahlberg . Certain generations will always remember him as Marky Mark from his days of “Good Vibrations” and Calvin Klein underwear ads. But in the last decade, Wahlberg has emerged as one of the industry’s most savvy and bankable players. In 2010, we were introduced to a new side of Wahlberg — his comedic timing — which he showcased by way of “Date Night,” “The Other Guys” and MTV’s own “The Knife Show.” Behind the screen, Wahlberg teamed up with heavyweights Martin Scorsese and Terrence Winter (“The Sopranos”) to bring “Boardwalk Empire” to HBO. He also produced and stars in “The Fighter.” The man has been busy, and we’re happy about it. MTV : You’re one of the people we’re most thankful for. Has this year been particularly better than others? Mark Wahlberg : It has. Every year above ground was a special year. Professionally, things couldn’t be better. Personally, my kids are healthy — aside from my youngest having a double ear infection. My wife is healthy and happy and everything is good, so really I’m so blessed and so fortunate. We’ve had a chance to talk and play around, but I’m not one of these guys who feels, like, entitled to be in this position. I feel so grateful and so humble. I’ve obviously worked very hard, it’s been an amazing journey, but if it ended today, I would be happy because I was on the ride. MTV : Is there a highlight from this year? Wahlberg : I would have to say between the movie stuff and the television stuff — with “Boardwalk Empire” premiering, “The Other Guys” did so well. Getting to go do a comedy at the beginning of this year with Seth McFarlane, his directorial debut. I’m so excited, it’s off-the-charts funny. MTV : Tell me about “Teddy Bear,” because it sounds absurd and amazing at the same time. Wahlberg : I don’t know how much he wants me to tell, but it’s about this kid who gets a bear for Christmas, it’s in the ’70s, it’s one of those Teddy Ruxpin-ish bears where you squeeze it and it says, “I love you!” The kid wishes and dreams that the bear would come alive, and a Christmas wish must be granted and it does. And Seth McFarlane is voicing the bear, but the bear is going to look like a little teddy bear, but it’s motion-capture, like “Avatar.” It’s never been done before. It’s insane. What the bear does is just … MTV : An R-rated comedy? I assume when Seth McFarlane is involved … Wahlberg : Yeah. The bear becomes famous, and then that’s my ticket to getting things and living a life of privilege. MTV : How satisfying was it for you to finally make “The Fighter”? Wahlberg : Just to be able to get the movie made was such an uphill battle. I was so happy we got it made, and then the fact that we were able to make a great movie and, I think, the best possible version of the movie. There were so many times where I thought I would make the movie just to get it done, but it happened for the right reasons. MTV : Do you have plans to direct? Wahlberg : I want to direct, but I don’t want to direct myself in a movie, because then it becomes about directing my performance. I don’t have the ability to be that kind of multitasker. Producing was tough enough. But in the future, I’d like to take a crack at it. MTV : What’s next? You’ve talked about “Cocaine Cowboys.” Wahlberg : Yeah, probably right now. And then there’s this other thing, “Broken City,” that I want to do at the end of next year with Allen Hughes directing, which is on the Black List. [ Editor’s note: The Black List is a compendium of unproduced screenplays that different studios/readers have given high marks to. ] It’s one of the best unproduced screenplays, an amazing piece of material that should attract amazing talent. … Hopefully “Fighter” will make it a little easier to get some of these passion projects off the ground. MTV : What kind of film is “Broken City”? Wahlberg : Crime, mystery. It’s in the vein of those old classics, “Chinatown,” even “L.A. Confidential.” Thanksgiving is a time for taking stock, expressing gratitude and, most importantly, overeating. We at MTV News have been gorging all year at movie theaters, so it’s about time we looked back and gave thanks to our favorite actors and filmmakers of 2010.
