Dinner parties on The Real Housewives franchise are high-class events in which the women speak about their lives and plan fun vacations together.  Yes, that whole sentence was sarcasm, and there was a dinner party on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 9 Episode 3 that descended into sheer mayhem.  Watch The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12 Episode 3 Online When the fun episode got underway, Vicki was preparing to make a move. Unfortunately for the other women, she was not leaving Orange County behind.  Instead, she was moving into a brand new office building as a result of her business being a success. Vicki then opened up about one of her employees embezzling her funds.  So, yes, she let him go. Still, her business is a hit, so she should be proud of what she’s achieved. It will be fun to see her boast about it to the other ladies.  This act of betrayal from a colleague, however, has Vicki wanting to keep a closer eye on the rest of her staff. It’s pretty lame, but she’s clearly paranoid something happens again.  While one business was flourishing, another was all over the place. Lydia was stressing out over at Nobleman because she felt like her husband was missing all of his deadlines.  Tamra interrupted Lydia’s duties at the magazine by calling her up to mediate the situation between her and Shannon. Tamra manages to get both women to attend a dinner to try fix things between them.  Meanwhile, Shannon continued her plan to get back into shape, and she found herself in a little too deep with all of it. Her trainer, however, was not that great.  He seemed to think that shaming Shannon about her body was a good tactic, but it was a little bit much, and we felt sorry for her.  When the time came for dinner, Lydia was trying to introduce Peggy to everyone once again, and it was becoming a little lame.  Peggy did not get a warm reception when seemed to trash Shannon’s plan to build a dream home. God, these women sure know how to bicker over silly things.  When Shannon spoke about the weight gain, Peggy pushed to find out about what forced her to get to that point. Is anyone else getting Eden Sassoon vibes from this chick? Just when things start to get heated between Peggy and the women, Kelly arrived, and well, things went nuclear. Kelly is not one to hold back.  Despite saying she was not attending the dinner, Kelly showed up and was not entirely approachable about all of it. Kelly then thought Shannon was mean to her.  While Kelly revealed that she knew how to push Shannon’s buttons in her confessional, Shannon flipped the eff out at the dinner table.  Shannon told her to get the heck out of the restaurant, while Kelly said, “Maybe you need some hormones for your body!” That’s when the ladies hurled terrible insults at each other.  Kelly is back and is ready to burn some bridges, and we’re along for every second of this ride.  What do you think of it all? Joseph Duggar & Kendra Caldwell: Slammed For Seeking Wedding Gifts From Fans!

If you watch Counting On online , you know that the Duggar family is in the midst of what folks in the business world call aggressive expansion. It’s a full-blown flurry of births, pregnancies, and weddings, and things are progressing so rapidly that the big events are starting to overlap. In fact, Joy-Anna Duggar’s recent wedding was the scene of a major milestone for one of her siblings: Joseph Duggar proposed to Kendra Caldwell during the reception and, as is customary for members of the Duggar clan, only a few months will pass between the proposal and the exchange of vows. Last week, we learned the date of Joseph and Kendra’s wedding , and to the surprise of no one, it’s coming right up. The couple will say “I do” on October 7, in Rogers, Arkansas. It’s unsual for Duggar couples to be so forward about the date and location of their nuptials, but Joseph and Kendra might have ulterior motives for sharing their  Several members of the Duggar family, including Joy-Anna, have taken to social media to confirm the date of the wedding. Presumably, Joseph and Kendra would’ve posted the news, too, were it not for the fact that the Duggars frown on the idea of their children posting on social media prior to marriage. So what’s wrong with sharing wedding details online? Well, nothing, per se. The problem in this case, is that Joy-Anna and others also decided to share the couple’s wedding registry online, and to many fans, the move seems like a desperate cash grab. There’s nothing unusual about the items on Joseph and Kendra’s registry . It’s mostly common household items and gift certificate to chain restaurants. The problem is that posting the wish list publicly seems like away to solicit gifts from fans. Not surprisingly, some fans expressed their disapproval on Joy-Anna’s Instagram page: “Very, very uncool. There are ways to circulate this info to the guests. This a gift solicitation for the FANS,” wrote one follower. “Why would complete strangers who aren’t even invited to the wedding purchase wedding gifts for them?” commented another. Some were so surprised by the move that they assumed Joy-Anna had been hacked: “Were you hacked, cause this would be a great scam for someone trying to take advantage of the couple and get their gifts. Also, if not hacked, still a scam. Maybe ask people to donate to a charity in honor of your wedding? Ridiculous,” wrote one fan. The post hasn’t been deleted, so a hack seems unlikely. This isn’t the first time that a controversy has erupted aroung the Duggars asking for money from fans, and as in previous cases, the family seems unapologetic in their desire for more stuff. But hey, we’re sure they can point to a Bible verse that they’ve interpreted as a paraphrasing of Michael Douglas’ “greed is good” speech from Wall Street .

Justin Bieber: I’m NEVER Going Back to Jail!

Remember Justin Bieber’s DUI arrest in Miami from a while back? Justin sure wants you to remember. He’s shared a throwback photo of his own mugshot, and his captions are fine on the surface, but might indicate an internal struggle. His mugshot also reminds us that, for all his faults, Justin takes really good mugshots. Over the years, Justin Bieber’s bad behavior hasn’t been a secret … at all. Like, we’re sure that there’s stuff that we haven’t heard about. But there’s also stuff like Justin egging his neighbors house . And, of course, the drunk driving (and drag racing!) in Florida that led to his arrest. Honestly, some of his antics came across like the stereotypical “bad kid” from any and every generic animated drama from the last two decades. But Justin’s shared this throwback photo of his own mugshot, and it’s apparently not to brag about how good he looked in it. (Though, let’s be honest, he looked great) He captioned the photo: “#jailisnotacoolplacetobe #notfun #neveragain” For those of you who don’t enjoy reading hashtags, that was: “Jail is not a cool place to be. Not fun. Never again.” For some reason, this feels like less of an after school special for his fans than a public statement about his own intentions. Like, a pledge to himself that he’s not going to repeat past mistakes. It makes us wonder if he’s been struggling with sobriety more than he’s let on. Justin’s mostly different now. These days, he’s more about his faith (like his parents, he’s a Christian, and pretty die-hard about it) and less about substance abuse. He might be leaning on his faith to stay sober, which can be tricky in the same way that staying sober for another person can be tricky, but that’s his business unless he starts doing crimes again. One of his many, many tattoos reads “Better at 70,” which seems to be a motto about becoming a better person throughout his life instead of just coasting along. Presumably, it also applies to his desire to remain in good legal standing. He put up a stencil of the tattoo on Instagram for fans to see if they wanted to also get the tattoo It’s not a great tattoo or even a great catchphrase, but you know that he still has some fans who are intense enough to get it. We don’t think that he’s necessarily conscious of the effect that his throwback photos can have. To him, they show only the consequences of his past bad behavior. To us, they’re a reminder that he’s recently seemed to just give up completely on having nice hair. Like, he’s had a few genuinely good hairstyles, including in that mugshot, and now he keep his head buzzed? There’s no personality there. Also his throwbacks remind us that his skin used to be more visible. It’s not that he doesn’t have the right to tattoo himself to his heart’s content, because he can decorate his meat prison however he likes. But … his tattoo choices tend to not be great. And we’re allowed to grimace at the photos. We’re also allowed to grimace at his captions about jail. Because some people might have been looking at an actual sentence for drag racing and a DUI. But Justin’s deal, if you’ll recall, involved him paying $50,000 (as a donation to a youth charity). In other words … he got out of prison time because he’s rich. Meanwhile, there are innocent people who can’t afford bail for crimes that they didn’t commit, so they spend months behind bars and eventually cop plea deals that admit guilt just so that they can see their families again. So, you know, maybe Justin shouldn’t be complaining about how little fun he had in jail. It can get so much worse than what little he experienced. Khloe Kardashian: Accused by Designer of Stealing Designs, Legal Bullying

Khloe Kardashian’s legal team sent a cease and desist letter to a small, independent designer, instructing her to stop accusing Khloe of stealing her work. It looks like that’s blown up in Khloe’s face. Majorly. If there’s one thing that truly unites the Kardashian family, it’s a fondness for cultural appropriation. From cornrows to huge lips to big butt culture to … everything, it seems that the Kardashians scarcely have to see an element of black culture before they decide to make it their own. But it seems that the appropriation isn’t limited to Kylie Jenner’s ever-changing body ,  Designer Destiney Bleu, after repeatedly calling out Khloe and accusing her of ripping off her designs. She did this so much that Khloe’s legal team sent a nasty cease-and-desist order. Of course, most small-time designers would be quaking in their boots when threatened with a rich person’s lawsuit. Even if you’re in the right, just letting a lawsuit drag out in court can completely exhaust someone’s finances. You can win the case but have your life ruined. Destiney has majorly clapped back, and no matter which of them you believe about the propietary issues, these words are absolutely worth reading. We wonder if Khloe is regretting any of that now? Though the response letter comes from Destiney’s legal representative, it seems pretty clear that Destiney’s words are involved. Because the letter is decidedly  not limited to legal jargon. “It is not illegal for Khloe to copy Destiney’s designs — it is just tacky, disrespectful, and in bad taste,” says Destiney’s scathing response letter , as reported by TooFab . “There is also something deeply uncomfortable about someone with Khloe’s wealth and power appropriating designs and fashion directly from a black woman with a small business without crediting her, making cheap knockoffs, and then attempting to threaten her into silence.” Hold on a moment, we need to print out that line and frame it and hang it on our wall. But the letter continues. “You should be ashamed.” It’s clear that we’re all meant to know exactly what Khloe’s lawyers are demanding from Destiney. “You demand that Destiney ‘cease and desist’ her ‘false statements,’ ‘make an appropriate corrective statement,’ and ‘that [Destiney’s] trolls stop attacking [Khloe Kardashian’s] social media channels.'” How exactly is Destiney expected to stop other people from independently tweeting at Khloe? With magic? Sorry, Khloe’s legal team, but even if you  happen to think that all black people look alike, Destiney isn’t Azealia Banks . “However, your attempt to censor Destiney with these meritless threats will have the opposite of its intended effect. Destiney will not surrender to your bullying.” That lawyer’s absolutely right about the opposite effect business, because if Khloe had never tried to shut down Destiney’s statements, a lot of people might never have heard about this. And, by the way, Destiney’s also happy to provide evidence of correspondences she had, which she says prove that Khloe had access to Destiney’s samples … before going on to copy them. How sad must it be to be rich and famous but still feel the need to pluck ideas from others and claim them as your own?
