JetBlue has apparently grown sick and tired of every other airline making news over the past several weeks. News for the wrong reasons, but still. News nonetheless. Therefore, in light of United assaulting a customer , Delta showing a patron the door for using the bathroom and Virgin turning away a young cancer patient, JetBlue has gotten into the Awful PR Business for itself. Here's how… On May 3, a family of four was traveling to New Jersey when they allegedly refused to move a birthday cake they brought on board out of the overhead bin. Cameron Burke, his wife Minta and their two young kids were headed to a surprise party when the patriarch started filming an encounter between himself and police officers who were brought on board to confront him over the issue. The father told ABC 7 that he moved the dessert item from an overhead bin to under the seat in front of him when asked, but that two flight attendants were still giving him a hard time over it. “You know, you could see the gestures – then she was pointing to her, did you tell him he couldn’t put anything in the overhead compartment?,” Cameron said. “I had approached them, and I said everything was fine, and she said, ‘Sir, this does not involve you.’ “When she told me I had been non-compliant, then I said, ‘Ma’am, had you been drinking?’ because her behavior was not normal.” The airline forced all passengers to deplane in light of this incident, with the Burkes told they could not get on the flight and given a refund instead. According to JetBlue spokesperson Morgan Johnston, however, the Burkes are not victims here. He says “the video circulating [below] does not depict the entire incident and only starts after the objectionable behavior occurred.” The company claims Cameron refused numerous requests to take the cake out of an overhead bin which is reserved for safety equipment in case of an emergency. “The customers became agitated, cursed and yelled at the crew, and made false accusations about a crewmember’s fitness to fly,” JetBlue said, adding: “After the customers refused to speak with a team leader about the situation, the Port Authority Police Department was called and the entire aircraft deplaned. “The Captain determined the customers’ behavior demonstrated a risk for additional escalation in air and would not be allowed to fly.” JetBlue noted that cakes are permitted onboard as long as they are within the carry-on size limits. Minta, though, says she wants at least one of the flight attendants fired and that her children were left “traumatized” by what transpired. Throughout her relatively brief career as the queen of Instagram, Kylie Jenner has been praised for a number of enviable virtues. Fans say they admire Kylie’s beauty, her fashion sense, her business acumen, and her clear affection for her friends and family. But you won’t find many folks with anything positive to say about Kylie’s physical authenticity. You’ve probably heard the many Kylie Jenner plastic surgery rumors that have made the rounds online in recent years, and while it seems obvious the 19-year-old has had extensive work done, she continues to deny going under the knife. Kylie admits to enhancing her famous pout with “temporary lip fillers” but she swears that’s the only medical “enhancement” that she’s received. As for other, more temporary beauty hacks, such as wigs, fake eyelashes, etc., there’s not an ounce of shame in Kylie’s game. Like her sisters, she freely admits that she spends the GDP of a small nation on other people’s hair over the course of a single year. Kylie rocks more wigs than the cast of The Americans, and it’s possible that she’s joked that some of her fans probably have to idea what her real mane looks like: Kylie Jenner’s Real Hair! So there it is. A tad anti-climactic, no? Kylie assures fans that this is her real hair, and, well … we have no reason to doubt her, because it totally just looks like a head of hair. We’re not sure what we were expecting – a few bald patches? A Ronald McDonald-esque red afro? We really would’ve accepted anything other than “Kylie Jenner’s usual hair, except slightly shorter.” That doesn’t mean the brief clip is a total disappointment, however. We get a rare glimpse of Kylie un-made inhumanly ginormous lips, which is always interesting. They’re usually shellacked with several layers of one of her famous lip kit shades so when we see them bare, it’s like we’re looking at something private that was supposed to stay that way. You almost can’t help but turn away, like if you walked in on your grandmother or locked eyes with your cat while he’s doing some serious deep-cleaning. Tarek El Moussa may have a body of steel. But he’s unhappy these days with how his estranged wife continues to steal the spotlight from him. The Flip or Flop co-host really has tried his hardest over these past couple weeks, matching Christina’s revealing Instagram photos with a set of his own, hoping that his surprisingly RIPPED body would win him an influx of fans. Instead, Tarek has been forced to sit back and watch as Christina gains new Instagram followers everyday and gives one media interview after another. She’s also been presented with a number of professional opportunities, such as a role on Dancing with the Stars. As a result, a source tells In Touch Weekly that Tarek “seems stuck in neutral after” filing to divorce Christina in early January. Yes, he’s still filming episodes of Flip or Flop for HGTV, but insiders believe the show will be canceled after Season 7, leaving Tarek with no employment prospects. It doesn’t help that Christina appears to be making plans for a spinoff series or some kind of future venture of her own. “He hates that Christina has been getting more publicity than him,” In Touch writes of Tarek “He still wants to outshine Christina in every way possible.” This explains why Tarek has been more active on social media of late. He took Internet users by extreme surprise last month when he shared photos of himself at the gym, lifting weight and flaunting his impressive muscles. He then got a haircut and joked that he was suffering some kind of midlife crisis at the time. “OH NO!!! New #clothing.. New #hairstyle…. #No more sandals!! Half #naked pics!!! Is this a mid life crisis??” El Moussa wrote as a caption to the following black-and-white picture of his fresh look. According to this In Touch Weekly mole, the father of two has been attempting to “one-up” his estranged wife and reality TV co-star for months now. But he’s fallen far behind Christina, who went on a PR blitz early on after her split from Tarek and who is a very good looking woman. (This often helps one gain a lot of fame and popularity on the Internet.) As a result, Tarek would reportedly be open to a romantic reconciliation. But not for romantic reasons. “He’s tried to persuade Christina by saying it will be great for their business and open so many doors for huge payouts, but Christina is not buying it,” an insider says of getting back together. “She knows she’s fine without him and doesn’t feel bad for Tarek because, as she’s told friends, he put her through hell.” It’s true. Or at least it’s rumored to be true. Previous tabloid reports claimed that Tarek verbally abused Christina on set, even joking at times about raping her . We know, right? YIKES! The El Moussa separated last May and filed for divorce several months later. “I feel like if we had better communication, we would have had a better relationship,” Tarek said during an episode of The Doctors a little while back, adding: “I think as time went on, you get busier and busier. Aubrey and Bristol Marunde hope to be the next Tarek and Christina El Moussa. On the professional front, at least. Tarek and Christina filed to divorce in December, of course, and have been making headlines over the past few weeks for their revealing Instagram photos and passive aggressive shots at one another. But it’s easy to forget that they remain best known for their roles on Flip or Flop. The estranged husband and wife are still filming episodes of the HGTV home renovation series, in fact, as they await to learn whether the network picks up the show for Season 8 . It seems unlikely. However, executives are keen on expanding the franchise, having announced last month that FIVE Flip or Flop spinoffs are on tap, none of which will feautre the El Moussas. Instead, new couples will follow Christina and Tarek’s lead by purchasing dilapidated homes across the country, fixing them up and trying to sell them for a profit. The new shows will be based on Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Texas and Las Vegas. Explained Allison Page (general manager, U.S. programming and development for HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel) in announcing this decision: “Because every market is unique, there was an opportunity to highlight what works in various regions by featuring successful people in different locations who had mastered the art of flipping in their town.” So… this brings us back to Aubrey Marunde and Bristol Marunde. The couple will anchor Flip or Flop: Las Vegas, which is the first spinoff to receive an air date and which will premiere on Thursday, April 6 at 9/8c on HGTV. What do we know about Aubrey and Bristol? Well… Bristol is 34 years old and competes as a mixed martial artist. The couple met in 2009 while watching an MMA fight in person with a group of friends. They went for coffee on their first date. And got married six years later in their backyard. “We decided right then and there that we wanted to settle down and be together,” Bristol tells HGTV of how great that first date went. They have a six-ear old son named Kale and a three-year old son named Kane. “Kale is just like me and pretty amazing when it comes to colors,” Aubrey explains, adding: “I handed him the huge paint swatch book yesterday and said, ‘I’m thinking light blue accent wall…’ He flipped through, and in about 30 seconds said, ‘This one.’ “It was the exact color I had picked from an online swatch book earlier in the day! It’s a pretty cool thing to see yourself shine through in your kids.” Aubrey bought her first home at age 20. They love animals. “Bristol is always bringing something home for the kids from job sites,” Aubrey says. “Last week, it was a huge lizard in a drywall bucket he found, and before that, a baby bunny.” The family has two dogs, two parakeets, two turtles, four chickens and two fish. Neither is a Las Vegas native. Aubrey moved to Sin City after high school from small town Milton, Pennsylvania; while Bristol grew up in Sequim, Washington. So here we are, folks. It’s time to talk about the midseason finale (that’s right, the season didn’t come to a complete end this time around). Still, as with all finales, things have to reach a climax, and they certainly do — as does Mary Jane with Justin’s help (literally). You know things are about to go left when someone is sitting with their man but thinking about another man. That’s exactly what is going on when the mid-season finale starts. While brainstorming plans for Mary Jane’s 40th birthday with Kara, Lee makes a poor cake recommendation and remarks that “I’m obviously out of my league” with such a suggestion (it was chocolate cake with white icing by the way). At that very moment, Justin walks into the room via a daydream and says to MJ, “He said it, not me.” She freezes for a moment before remembering where she’s at, and who she’s with. [ madamenoire ] Adrienne Talks About Moment She Knew Her Relationship With Lenny Wasn’t Right The women of “The Real” are living up to the name of their show with this week’s topics of discussion. Earlier this week, Loni opened up about her miscarriage and now, Adrienne is speaking about the reason she called off her engagement to Lenny Santiago. Tamera: “When did you know, because I think a woman always knows this, when did you know that it wasn’t right? But then you kept on in the relationship?” Adrienne: “I think I knew when I moved across the country and we didn’t need each other in that way. [ madamenoire ] Sarah Palin Fried Online For Shot At Colin Kaepernick’s Meals On Wheels Donation Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and past Vice Presidential candidate, has entered the media fray once more but perhaps not in the way she probably appreciates. Palin took a swipe at NFL player Colin Kaepernick‘s recent Meals On Wheels donation and people on social media have been giving her the business. Over on Sarah Palin’s website, which we won’t be linking to, she posted a link to an article by Mary Kate Knorr that labeled Kaepernick’s $50,000 donation to the meal delivery service a publicity stunt. Under President Donald Trump’s potential budget, the program could the federal grant it receives which makes up a significant portion of its operations budget. Over on Palin’s Facebook page and Twitter, which again we won’t be linking, she took another jab at the current free agent quarterback writing, “And he wonders why he can’t find a job.” Of course, Kaepernick is an enemy of conservatives and ultra-patriots over his refusal to stand for the National Anthem ahead of football games last season. The bold stance hasn’t just been criticized by those on the Right as liberals and others in the middle have taken shots at Kap as well.
