A story in The Scottish Sun details how Jess Evans bought her daughter Alissa a Garfield advent calendar for the holidays. After a few days Alissa claimed she didn’t like the treats anymore and told her mom that she refused to eat any more. Upon further inspection, Jess discovered that the treats that she believed to be “apple flavored chocolate” was actually “yoghurt and catnip” snacks…for cats! Jess, from Oswestry, Shropshire, said: “I was in shock and felt like the worst mother ever when I realised I’d bought her a calendar for cats. “She said they tasted a bit strange, but hadn’t said they were horrible, so I just forgot about it. “Alissa hadn’t been eating them for a few days and when I asked why she brought the box over to me. “I remember thinking they did look a funny shade of green and didn’t have a chocolatey smell. “When I turned the calendar over and read that it was yoghurt and catnip flavour I couldn’t believe it – and that it had taken 11 days for us to notice.” Apparently, Jess was doing Christmas shopping and grabbed the calendar without ever reading it. “I have a degree in English literature and creative writing but still couldn’t read a calendar and it had taken me 11 days to realise.” Get it together, lady.

Another day, another round of Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton rumors. We know you’ve heard it all before: Gwen and Blake are planning and wedding , and then they’re gonna start cranking out babies like it’s going out of style (which, according to birth rate statistics, it sort of is). But this time, there’s a twist: Insiders are claiming that Gwen and Blake are already married , and they started the ball rolling on the process of welcoming a child via surrogacy. Maybe this is just the ‘bloids and blogs way of stepping their game up, since people are starting to grow tired of the same round of engagement rumors. But maybe — just maybe — this is the real deal and Gwen and Blake are secretly hitched with a baby on the way. The first rumor comes to us courtesy of the folks at The Globe , who claim that issued Blake an ultimatum: propose or get lost. “It’s now or never, baby,” Gwen allegedly said, in a scene that’s virtually impossible to envision. The source claims that Shelton and Stefani then “snatched up a marriage license and got hitched by a preacher in the privacy of their hotel room.” We’re sure Blake loves the country song details here, including the hotel room preacher, but we find it hard to believe that after all this time together, these two would go to the trouble of keeping their marriage a secret. The second round of rumors began with a report in the new issue of Us Weekly , which claims that Blake and Gwen are well on their way to selecting a surrogate: “They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited,” the insider explains. Gwen already has kids, and she’ll turn 50 in 2019, but it seems Blake wants a child of his own and won’t take no for an answer. “He wants his own child too,” says the source. “Gwen just is so in awe of the love Blake has, not only for her but for the boys.” So there you have it! As we reported earlier this month, against all odds, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reached a custody agreement before the custody trial deadline. Now, we are learning more about this agreement. It sounds like Brad is coming away from this as the winner in a major way. For more than two years, the former power couple known as Brangelina has been fractured. Angelina and Brad have spent this time locked in a contentious custody battle. They share six children: Maddox, age 17, Pax, age 15, Zahara, age 13, Shiloh, age 12, and twins Knox and Vivienne, who are both age 10. Now, this courtroom quarrel appears to have come to an end. Us Weekly reports that they have made a deal. “Angelina agreed to a deal that gives Brad joint physical and legal custody of the children,” Angelina’s rep, Samantha Bley DeJean, confirms. Now, an inside source shares that Brad is coming out of this tussle a happy man. “He got what he wanted after a very long protracted process,” an inside source reveals. Apparently he won’t have any additional monitored visitation. “He’ll be able to have the kids overnight at his house,” the insider notes. The source continues that this will be “for the first time since the divorce proceedings began.” The inside source, clearly sympathetic to Brad, goes on. To hear this person tell it, Brad is some sort of hero who perservered against all odds. “It was a long and difficult road,” the insider characterizes. “But,” the source says. “He never gave up.” And now he has joint legal and physical custody of their children. It’s no real surprise. Though more mothers have custody of their children than fathers, fathers tend to retain custody if they actually fight for it in court. For more than two years, now, Angelina and Brad have been communicating almost exclusively through their respective attorneys. Now, they’ve moved on to a less contentious and much more contemporary tool. They’re using an app, called Our Family Wizard, The app is a child-custody and co-parenting app, designed for exactly this sort of situation. Not everyone wants to get calls or even texts from their ex, but having children together makes that complicated. With an app like this, they can set up schedules on a shared calendar without ever having to engage with each other directly. The app also helps tackle things like shared financial responsibilities. Now, let’s be clear about one thing. The agreement that Brad and Angelina reached still needs to be finalized. With both parties in agreement, however reluctantly, that will probably be a formality at this point. Honestly, after two years, it’s a shock to many that they were able to reach any kind of accord. Of course, if they had remained at odds, it would have come down to a custody trial — taking the decision out of both of their hands. That’s a huge risk. It’s amazing what you can get done when you set a deadline. Some people are very sympathetic to Brad, feeling that he’s been denied his parental rights. Others believe that whatever happened on that fateful flight that caused Angelina to file for divorce and report Brad to the FBI for child-abuse must have been serious. That they reached this agreement may mean that Angelina is reasonably confident that Brad is not a danger to their children. He is reportedly in a better mental state these days and is said to be no longer drinking excessively. Friday US Weekly reported that the hip-hop mogul was inconsolable over the loss of the mother of three of his children. “Diddy is inconsolable,” the insider says. “Kim’s passing has turned his life upside down.” The source described the former couple’s relationship as still close, even following their breakup: “Kim and Diddy didn’t always see eye-to-eye on things, but their love for their children and the deep respect they had for each other trumped any issue they had,” the source says. “They were on very good terms in recent years. She was a ‘ride or die’ and very loyal to Diddy.” “Kim treated all of Diddy’s children like her own — not just the ones they shared — which makes the situation even more devastating,” the insider tells Us. “Diddy values family over everything in his life. He sees his children as an extension of himself. [They are] his proudest achievement, and he has deep connections to them individually.” Fortunately Diddy has been able to turn to former girlfriend Cassie for support. The pair were spotted together just a day after Porter’s death. Combs was photographed stepping out of a silver vehicle in Los Angeles, casually dressed in red basketball shorts and a black “Do The Right Thing” hoodie. Now, according to a report from E! News, the L.A. County coroner has called for an “additional investigation” into the death of the beloved mom , model, and actress. From E! : “One day after the model, actress and longtime girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combswas discovered dead at the age of 47, E! News has learned her cause of death is currently “deferred” for further testing. As previously reported, Porter was said to be receiving medical treatment for pneumonia prior to her passing. First responders were called to her Toluca Lake, Calif. home on Thursday over a potential cardiac arrest episode. Detectives also told the media they do not suspect foul play.” Porter shared three kids with music mogul Diddy — Christian and twins, D’Lila Star and Jessie James —as well as Quincy , her eldest son from a previous relationship with Al B. One of the most iconic ’90s R&B jams was reportedly not only written with her in mind, but it was written by an iconic R&B singer in his own right. “Forever My Lady,” a chart-topping single released from Jodeci’s smash, multi-platinum debut album of the same name, was written by singer Al B. Sure!, who fathered a child with Porter in June of 1991. Less than a month later, Jodeci released their album and put out their signature single two months later. L ess than a week after the 2018 midterm elections, a Black man who was paralyzed in a 2012 police shooting wants to campaign for office in 2019. The 25-year-old candidate, who was surrounded by family, friends, and supporters, vowed to amplify the voices of Black people and the youth in his community if elected. “I think that from the response alone, you see people excited in a way they’ve never really been excited for a city council race in a very long time, from elders to the youth,” said Ford. Pittsburgh Police Officer David Derbish shot him five times during a November 2012 traffic stop and a second officer was accused of assaulting him. A lengthy federal trial in 2017 ended with a jury in deadlocked on Derbish’s liability. After a second trial was scheduled to get underway, Pittsburgh settled the case for $5.5 million in January 2018. “We are very happy for Leon and his family to have closure so he can move forward and be the great and successful man he is destined to be,” a statement from Ford’s lawyer said following the settlement. Ford is indeed moving forward with his life. He’s competing as a Democrat, and he has the May 21 primary circled on his calendar.
