A person believed to be fugitive, ex-Los Angeles cop and alleged murderer Christopher Dorner exchanged gunfire with police today, officials say. A law enforcement source says Dorner fired on authorities in the San Bernardino Mountains; the status of the man at large and police is currently unknown. Officers were not authorized to speak publicly about the ongoing investigation of Dorner and thus withheld their names as well as any additional details. However, one source tells The AP it’s believed Christopher Dorner committed a residential burglary of a cabin and had a couple tied up in the cabin. One was able to get away and make a call. Authorities responded to the location and gave chase mid-day Tuesday when Dorner fled in a stolen car. At that point, gunfire was exchanged. A second source said there was an active crime scene but did not have details in the latest and possibly final chapter of the massive Dorner manhunt . It is not immediately clear whether Dorner is in custody. Law enforcement officials are swarming the area, not long after U.S. Marshal’s officials said in court papers that Dorner could have fled to Mexico. In Tijuana, Dorner was listed as one of the most wanted fugitives. But the LAPD later said that was only one of many locations authorities were scouring. Detectives have also been examining video showing Dorner purchasing scuba gear in Torrance, Calif., days before his alleged killing spree began. Officers have been all over California pursuing tips about Dorner’s possible whereabouts, serving warrants at homes in Las Vegas and Point Loma. Meanwhile, an associate of Dorner was being tracked by investigators, suggesting that he may have received help eluding a massive law enforcement dragnet. Dorner, 33, has evaded authorities since Wednesday when he was named the suspect in the slaying of an Irvine couple. He also allegedly killed a cop. There is a $1 million reward for Dorner’s capture.
Disneyland is definitely not the happiest place on earth for little black children… It turns out that the white “Alice In Wonderland” rabbit that was hatin’ on lil Elijah and Jason Black ain’t the only racist character at Disneyland. Via NY Daily News reports : The lawyer for a black San Diego family that claimed they were discriminated against by a Disney character during a trip to Disneyland said he’s received dozens of calls from people alleging the same thing. “I’ve gotten many emails and voicemails that I’m looking into. What this tells me is this isn’t an isolated incident,” attorney Dan Gilleon told San Diego’s ABC 10 News. “It doesn’t mean Disneyland is racist, but they have some people in the company who aren’t playing by the rules and are being discriminatory.” On Thursday, a second family came forward to say their two children were ignored by someone playing Donald Duck during a trip to the Magic Kingdom in December. Nastasia White, who is black, told 10 News the person in the duck suit ignored two requests to take a photo with her children, Razzi, 5, and Ryder, 2, and played with white children instead. “[Razzi] was sitting there with his arms open, saying, ‘Donald, Donald!’” White, of Los Angeles, said. White told the station she wasn’t overreacting because the character’s brush-off “was done in a blatant and ugly way.” The White family has hired Gilleon to pursue their case. Disney has not responded to the Daily News’ request for comment. Earlier this week, the company said they carefully review all claims from guests at their parks and hotels. Earlier this week, Jason and Annelia Black, of San Diego, claimed their children and cousins were ignored by someone dressed as the White Rabbit character from “Alice in Wonderland” in August. The Blacks, who are black, claimed the costumed character turned away from them to play with some white and Asian families. Gilleon told the Daily News that Disney officials tried to duck the family’s complaint by offering VIP passes worth $500 in exchange for a signed statement clearing the Magic Kingdom of any wrongdoing. The Black family was suing Disney for violating California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, which outlaws discrimination based on race, sex and other qualities, Gilleon said. Gilleon claimed the snub was caught on security video, and he plans to subpoena Disney for it. Violation of the Unruh act carries a penalty of $25,000. The Blacks planned to claim anywhere from three to ten violations — based on the number of children present during the alleged snub — and also plans to also seek attorney’s fees and damages, including the cost of the trip, Gilleon said. Kinda funny that the two families involved have the last names White and Black. But there is nothing funny about this discrimination. Disneyland better bow down or pay the fawk up!!! The actor, who played suicide machine inventor Jack Kevorkian in the 2010 HBO biopic You Don’t Know Jack , and was particularly brilliant as the homophobic gay lawyer Roy Cohn in the cable network’s adaptation of Lincoln screenwriter Tony Kushner’s Angels in America in 2003, dons quite a few wacky wigs in this clip to play the legendary 60s music producer who’s serving 19 years to life in a California prison for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson . It’s not just the hair though. The picture was written and directed by David Mamet , whose mean, hard-boiled writing sounds great coming out of Pacino’s mouth. “First time you got felt up, guess what? You were listening to one of my songs,” the actor brazenly tells Helen Mirren who plays his defense attorney. And then there’s the disembodied voice who, referring to Spector, tells Mirren: “He’s a freak. Theyr’e going to convict him of I just don’t like you.” Make that a talented freak. Spector produced albums by the Crystals, Darlene Love, the Ronettes, the Righteous Brothers, John Lennon , the Ramones and Leonard Cohen’s famous disaster of an album, Death of a Ladies Man. The 6,000 mansion in a gated Newport Beach community was listed in September for $3.75 million. It closed mid-January for $3.22 million. It was one of three homes Vanessa and the Los Angeles Lakers superstar had jointly owned in the same upscale community. Just days after the sale, the pair announced they’d reconciled and the divorce petition was being dismissed. The mountain-view house was built in 1999 and purchased by the Bryants in 2003 for $2.65 million. It has five bedrooms, an office, five fireplaces and balconies. The quarter-acre property has a spa and outdoor kitchen. Kobe lived in a three-bedroom bungalow at the nearby Resort at Pelican Hill during his separation from Vanessa. Poor thang! Queen Latifah ended up with a ticket while she was out trying to do the right thang by eating a healthy post-workout meal with her trainer. Queen La and her homeboy were in West Hollywood on Melrose Ave enjoying salads and green smoothies when she got a parking ticket. Initially she was heated because her meter still hadn’t expired, but after she talked to the Parking Officer he explained to her that the law in California requires any vehicle to have a front license plate.
