Arizona Mayor to Prince Harry: Keep it in Your Pants!

Prince Harry just relocated to tiny Gila Bend, Ariz. for two months of Apache helicopter training, and the town’s mayor has issued a stern warning to the party boy. Ron Henry is concerned that the fun-loving redhead royal, 27, who had his share of adventures in California, will get wild during his stay in the Grand Canyon State. “There are probably some fathers here in Gila Bend who would go to extremes to protect their daughters,” Henry told the Daily Mail of the sleepy town of 1,700. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and we have some very pretty girls here,” Mayor Henry admitted , adding of the hard-partying, playboy Prince of Wales: “Some of the dads won’t take too kindly to a Prince fornicating and drinking the night away. It is a very small, quiet town with a lot of good Christian people.” Yes, he really used the term fornicating. The town’s executive added: “This isn’t a party town. I would advise [Harry] take in the sights of the desert instead.” In the U.S. so far, Harry has shopped at Wal-Mart, indulged in $6.45 breakfasts, scarfed down a whole pizza and rescued a young woman thrown into a pool. He may or may not have smushed Jessica Donaldson at some point too.

Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ Gets R3hab Treatment

Dutch DJ/producer talks to MTV News about his ‘XS’ remix of the hit song and teases one more ‘for the ladies.’ By Akshay Bhansali Rihanna on the set of her video for “We Found Love” Photo: Photopress Belfast/Splash News As Rihanna’s mega-single “We Found Love” continues its chart-topping run, dance music fans have been raving over a string of recent remixes. While superstar DJ/producer Calvin Harris created the song’s euphoric pop/house beat, beatmakers like Cahill, Chuckie and R3hab have cooked up club-ready versions of the track. MTV News recently caught up with R3hab — Harris’ buddy and Afrojack’s mentee — and he talked about his new “We Found Love (XS Remix)” of the song. He also revealed that an additional version for “the ladies” is in the pipeline. “It’s a ‘Halloween’-style [remix],” R3hab explained of the darker tone heard on the “XS” mix released on Tuesday. “I made two versions … one version is more melodic and euphoric. This [first] one is more dark because the lyrics [to] ‘We Found Love’ can also be seen as something dark. ‘We are at the end of the world/ And I still found love.’ So from there came the more darker chord progression and the more darker atmosphere, like Dracula is coming to get you. It’s just got a lot of emotion and that worked out great for me.” R3hab plans to follow up the “XS” cut with a “Surrender” remix; both tracks are named after popular Las Vegas club parties. ” ‘XS’ is more the ‘ravey’ night,” R3hab (born Fadil El Ghoul) explained. “And ‘Surrender’ is more for the [hotel] pool, for the girls. I call it ‘one for the boys, and one for the ladies.’ The boys’ is the hard-rocking ‘Halloween’ version and the other version is more for the ladies; more vocal.” The Dutch DJ went on to compare the guys’ tune to being at the Insomniac festival event in San Bernadino, California: “Like at Escape from Wonderland when 50,000 kids are raving in front of you, you want to play the hard version. And when you’re playing the small, more intimate club, you wanna play the one that’s for the ladies.” Chuckie, Cahill and R3hab’s “We Found Love” remix package is out now. Although the release date for R3hab’s “Surrender” cut is still undetermined, fans should keep all eyes on R3hab, who’s got a monster remix for Katy Perry on the way as well as plans to team up with Afrojack for a follow-up to “Prutataaa.”

Adam Lambert Sued for Participating on American Idol

Adam Lambert is facing a lawsuit from a record label that claims he violated his contract by appearing on season eight of American Idol . Colwel Platinum Entertainment – the same company attempting to release an album of former tracks by Lambert, against the singer’s wishes – has filed documents in California federal court that allege Adam was under a Music Services Agreement and a Co-Publishing Agreement when he took the Idol stage. Reads the lawsuit: “Upon further information and belief, the rules governing appearances on and participation in American Idol when Lambert was a contestant provided, among other things, that contestants were ineligible if ‘as of the date of [the] audition, [they had]…a music recording contract…or any other contractual arrangement that would prohibit [them] from entering into a…recording contract…” A violation of this provision was grounds for disqualification.” The label argues that Lambert got paid for recording songs while under contract and that the agreement stipulated the company would have the right to use Lambert’s name, nickname and biography in connection with advertising and promoting the tracks. Now, however, Lambert’s reps have convinced Amazon to remove “Beg for Mercy” for its catalog. This CD is comprised of singles Lambert recorded over five years ago. “Remember than in any dispute, reserve judgement until all the facts surface from ALL parties. Guilt and innocence come with a complete story,” Adam recently Tweeted regarding the controversy. [Photo: WENN.com]

Pitbull Barks Back at Lindsay Lohan Lawsuit

Pitbull has come out barking in his legal dispute with Lindsay Lohan, responding to the lawsuit she recently filed against him by calling LiLo a liar and a criminal. Lohan claims the hip hop star owes her money for disparaging and using her name in the song “Give Me Everything,” in which he name-checks the train wreck. Hilariously, the track includes the memorable lyric, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.” More hilariously, Lohan says a PITBULL SONG damages her reputation. Pitbull says that’s ridiculous, but Lohan refused to back down … so his lawyers are taking it to her, asking that, first of all, the suit be moved out of N.Y. State. Pitbull – Give Me Everything ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer Lindsay claims in court documents that she’s a resident of Nassau County, however, Pit claims she’s been living California since 2004 … and he can prove it. “Given her frequent legal troubles, Ms. Lohan possesses irrevocable ties to California that are likely to keep her there for the foreseeable future,” he states . Then, Pit rattles off every single one of her legal problems in California – many jail stints, house arrest, community service, you name it – to make his point. Thus, in light of Ms. Lohan’s continuing obligations to the State of California, as well as the foregoing facts, Ms. Lohan is not a citizen New York,” he adds. The rapper wants the case moved to federal court, where he thinks he’ll have a better shot of taking Lohan down. Your move, Marilyn Monroe wannabe .

Race Matters: Soledad O’Brien To Host New CNN Special On Black Techies “The New Promised Land: Silicon Valley”

CNN’s Soledad O’Brien investigates how African-American entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley struggle with racial bias, financial security, . While much of the country struggles to emerge from a recession, California’s Silicon Valley is booming, and technology companies like Facebook, Skype, and Apple are seeing their valuations soar. CNN anchor and special correspondent Soledad O’Brien reports that the ownership of this digital bloom is mostly young, white, and male. For her fourth Black in America documentary, O’Brien asks why, according to industry analyst CB Insights, less than one percent of all venture capital money went to digital startups with African-American founders in 2010 – and she profiles a unique, technology-focused “accelerator” developed to help African-American digital entrepreneurs secure funding to establish their businesses. Black in America: The New Promised Land – Silicon Valley will debut on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 8:00p.m. ET & PT and replay on Nov. 13 at 11:00p.m. ET & PT. It will also replay on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 8:00p.m. and 11:00p.m. ET & PT on CNN/U.S. The NewMe accelerator program, founded by friends Angela Benton and Wayne Sutton, is a collaborative of African-American start-up founders with Internet-based businesses – the first such business accelerator of its kind. NewMe’s ultimate mission is to diversify the technology industry by accelerating the participants’ business ventures. Participants seek venture capital investment and are mentored by prominent people from within the industry. O’Brien follows the progress of the eight former strangers after they were selected to live together for nine weeks in a modest, three-bedroom house in Mountain View, CA, from June to August of 2011. The entrepreneurs were provided with free office space and attended regular networking events hosted by NewMe’s sponsors. The participants come from varied backgrounds and experiences. It’s kinda like “The Real World”, “The Ultimate Hustler”, and “African-America’s Next Top Techie” all in one show. Should be interesting… Source

‘SNL,’ Andy Samberg Sued By Producers Over ‘Like A Boss’

St. Louis production duo claim they wrote music for ‘Saturday Night Live’ skits ‘Shy Ronnie’ and ‘Like a Boss.’ By Gil Kaufman Andy Samberg Photo: Getty Images A St. Louis production duo who claim they created the tracks that became the “Saturday Night Live” digital shorts “Like a Boss” and ” Shy Ronnie ” have filed a lawsuit against the show and cast member Andy Samberg claiming they haven’t been properly paid for their work. StarStrukk Production members Aleric “Rick tha Rular” Banks and Monique “Foxx StarStrukk” Hines filed a lawsuit in New York Federal court last week against NBC Universal, Samberg, The Lonely Island, and Universal Republic Records for willful copyright infringement and unjust enrichment. According to The Hollywood Reporter the suit alleges that Samberg’s band, The Lonely Island, recorded the tracks submitted by the duo “verbatim,” and then added lyrics on top. Samberg performed “Like a Boss” with Seth Rogen on “SNL” on April 4, 2009 and in December of that year he got together with Rihanna for the Emmy-nominated “Shy Ronnie.” The pair told a local paper that they hooked up with Samberg through a mutual connection in California in 2008, when they submitted tracks to Lonely Island for the band’s debut album. “Like a Boss” was featured on the trio’s 2009 disc Incredibad , while “Shy Ronnie 2: Ronnie & Clyde” was featured in this year’s Turtleneck & Chain . In August 2010, StarStrukk told a local paper that they were excited about being nominated for an Emmy for the “Shy Ronnie” skit, which they said featured a beat they tried, unsuccessfully, to sell to local acts like City Spud and Yung Ro as well as Young Jeezy. But after not getting the credit they felt they deserved or being paid appropriately, they filed suit. Banks claims he signed a form sent by the Universal Music Group in which he stated that he was a 50 percent owner of the copyright on “Like a Boss” as the writer and producer of the tune. According to the suit, he received a response letter that only gave him 25 percent interest in the tune. But, so far, Banks says he hasn’t gotten any producer royalties or profits from the songs. A spokesperson for NBCU could not be reached for comment at press time.

‘Walking Dead’ Creator Talks Steamy Sex Scene

‘It brings a sense of hope into the show,’ Robert Kirkman tells MTV News of the budding romance between Glenn and Maggie. By Josh Wigler Steven Yeun as Glenn in “The Walking Dead” Photo: Bob Mahoney/ AMC “The Walking Dead” spent a lot of time dwelling on the dead in last week’s “Save the Last One” episode, so it’s only fair that the most recent outing — titled “Cherokee Rose” — focused most of its energy on the living. Hot on the heels of Otis’ tragic death and Carl’s stressful surgery, this week’s episode finally turned up the heat and gave us a whole lot of flesh — but not the kind “Walking Dead” heads are typically used to. We’re talking, of course, about the steamy sex scene between go-to odd-jobs man Glenn (Steven Yeun) and newcomer Maggie (Lauren Cohan), daughter of farmer Hershel Greene. After Glenn successfully roped in an incredibly gruesome zombie at the bottom of a well (seriously, did you see that thing? That’s Greg Nicotero at his finest!), the former pizza delivery boy clearly demonstrated enough cojones to win Maggie’s heart — or at least her body. But following the spontaneous sexual encounter, Maggie called it quits, leaving Glenn more than a little bit confused about what just happened. Glenn might be down at the moment, but he’s definitely not out. In a recent interview, “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman assured MTV News that the romance between Maggie and Glenn will be mostly faithful to their fan-favorite relationship as seen in the comics. “I can’t go into too many details as far as the Glenn-Maggie relationship goes, I wouldn’t want to reveal too much, but I can say it’s kept largely intact from what happens in the comic book series,” Kirkman said. “Seeing Lauren Cohan and Steven Yeun on set together is just absolutely amazing for me. It’s like, ‘Oh, there’s Glenn and Maggie!’ “Watching them kiss is no fun, that’s just weird,” he quipped. “But they do a good job at it. They seem to enjoy kissing each other. I think Steven might enjoy it more than Lauren, but that’s just my take on the situation.” On a serious note, Kirkman applauded the Glenn-Maggie romance for shining a spotlight on the brighter side of the “Walking Dead” universe — a side that’s very rarely seen. “It brings a sense of hope into the show, that these two people can find each other and find love,” Kirkman said. “It’s fun to have a bit of romance in there and think that, despite everything that’s going on in this world, two people can find some form of happiness. “Until a zombie attacks,” he quickly warned, “and zombies do attack from time to time.” Tell us what you thought of this week’s “Walking Dead” in the comments and on Twitter !
