There is a saying that art imitates life and that’s what happens in the new film A Star Is Born starring Lady Gaga , Bradley Cooper and Dave Chappelle hitting theaters October 5th. There is a scene in the film where Bradley’s character Jackson Maine, a singer who struggles with alcohol addiction, embarrasses Ally, Gaga’s character at the Grammy’s that reminded me of the aftermath of a drunk Kanye West snatching the mic from Taylor Swift at the VMAs. The now infamous incident led to the cancelation of Ye and Gaga’s joint tour in 2009 called Fame Kills. During Kanye’s mental breakdown that happened on stage back in 2016, Ye called Gaga ‘s cancellation of the tour “the beginning of the end of my life .” Gaga would eventually tweet her support for Ye. The song includes lyrics such as, “They told Kap to stand up if you want to play for a team, and most of his teammates said the same thing,” as well as, “Back in the ’30s you would be killed if you kneeled. They won’t kill you now, they just take you out of the deal.” The rapper told The Post that the Kaepernick song will appear on his next album. “I’m not actually giving out a release date, it’s a surprise album,” he said. But since the creators of the originals didn’t make a fuss about it everyone went about their business. However, things changed this past weekend and for whatever reason Osiris decided to call out Pretty Flacko and UA for biting their silhouette and took to the ‘Gram to remind everyone “who dropped it first.” The Osiris D3’s originally dropped in the early 2000’s and became a sneaker staple for skaters all across the board. When commenters tried to imply that the Rocky had worked with skater Dave Mayhew, whom many say originally designed the D3’s, Osiris quickly shot that down saying, “nope he didn’t. Brian Reid is the designer of the D3.” So much for that theory. Regardless of who A$AP Rocky worked with or who actually designed the sneaker, Osiris isn’t happy with the A$AP and Under Armour collaboration nor should they be. The SRLo is basically the Osiris D3 ‘s and if Osiris isn’t getting a piece of the pie for something they cooked up a decade and change ago, that’s going to rub them the wrong way. This must be how Gucci felt when Jay-Z and Reebok dropped the S. Carter ‘s in 2003.

About five weeks ago, we quoted a report that claimed Matthew Perry was on death’s door . It may have seemed like hyperbole to some, but the former Friends star has now come out and confirmed the following: He was REALLY sick for a long period of time. On Friday, the 49-year-old actor tweeted a few simple, albeit scary, words: Three months in a hospital bed. Check. Whoa there. Three months in a hospital bed?!? That makes it sound as if the “death’s door” report was not so far off base. Perry did not specify whether or not he’s finally been checked out of the hospital, but it’s safe to assume so based on that Tweet. The update comes a little over a month after a rep for the actor confirmed in a statement to that “Matthew Perry recently underwent surgery in a Los Angeles hospital to repair a gastrointestinal perforation. “He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals.” The outcome of this specific surgery depends on how early the ailment was diagnosed, along with how severe the perforation is and whether the patient had another disease or illness at the time. We can’t really answer any of these questions when it comes to Perry. Often times, conditions such as appendicitis, stomach ulcers, gallstones and/or Crohn’s disease can cause gastrointestinal perforations, as can a stabbing to the abdomen and abdominal surgery. Moreover, smoking and excessive alcohol use can increase a person’s need for this procedure. And it’s a safe guess that this is why Perry has been suffering. The veteran star has open about his struggles with alcohol abuse and has even opened his own sober-living facility named Perry House. “I couldn’t stop,” Perry told People Magazine in 2013 of his substance abuse. “Eventually things got so bad that I couldn’t hide it, and then everybody knew.” A powerful voice in the battle against addiction, Perry also said the following at one point to The Hollywood Reporter” “You can’t have a drug problem for 30 years and then expect to have it be solved in 28 days.” This is a reference to the typical length of one’s stay at a treatment facility. In honor of his road to recovery, Perry was presented with the 2015 Phoenix Rising Award. “I’m an award-winning alcoholic,” Perry told The Hollywood Reporter. “I shouldn’t be getting an award; Phoenix House should be getting an award.” Along with his iconic role on Friends, Perry also anchored such programs as The Odd Couple.
