Mischa Barton Smoking Weed in a Bikini Top of the Day

I never thought I’d see disgusting fucking pigs smoke…but then again I don’t spend much time in the backwoods learning how to fuck with farm animals… I also never thought Mischa Barton would still be alive…she looks like fucking death. I just know she’s crying for attention…cuz despite what she looks like, she is a fucking attention whore who wishes her career took a different root, just like this fat chick who couldn’t land a husband so she booked an all inclusive vacation to jamaica to get knocked up, who after her pregnancy would get on all fours in the park and milk herself like a cow…but instead of paparazzi taking pics of her, the police took her away and then child protection took her kid, then i took her anal virginity and we lived happily ever after, the end. Kim Kardashian is "Definitly Dating" Miles Austin

There are two reasons why celebrity gossip followers might believe Kim Kardashian is single: This tabloid cover. This alluring photo spread with Justin Bieber . But the first example listed is purposely misleading, while the second is simply gross. Also, Kim herself has now told E! News that she is “definitely dating” Miles Austin, a confirmation she had to make because the pair has not been seen together in awhile. There’s a good reason for that, Kim says: “He’s in the middle of his football season and he’s focused and I’m just trying to have fun and take everything really slow.” Kim Kardashian is going totally against type by dating Miles Austin. A source adds that Kardashian will visit Austin at Cowboys’ training camp in Dallas next week. Meanwhile, even though she’s proudly dating, Kim claims she’s in no rush to settle down. “I don’t feel any pressure [to have children]. Now is the one time in my life I can be 100% selfish. I’m not married; I don’t have kids; I can focus on my career.” And on avoiding crazed Justin Bieber fans that wish to do her harm due to the aforementioned pictorial. Seriously, Kim. Steer clear of these folks.

M.I.A.’s ‘XXXO’ Video Hits The Web

Hype Williams-directed clip is much tamer than her controversial ‘Born Free’ video. By Nuzhat Naoreen M.I.A. Photo: Roger Kisby/ Getty Images When it comes to M.I.A., we expect a certain degree of controversy. After all, the singer is no stranger to releasing songs and videos packaged with a message. So when her “XXXO” video hit the Net on Wednesday (August 11), we were understandably surprised. The Hype Williams-directed clip for “XXXO,” which, as the title implies, is about being in love (although not necessarily happily), is a marked departure from her “Born Free” video. While “Born Free” set off a firestorm of criticism for its violence, “XXXO” is much tamer in nature and much more hypnotic in style. M.I.A. is front and center in the video, which has an ’80s feel and relies heavily on graphics of hearts and flowers. In fact, the video appears to put M.I.A. inside a digital greeting card — although her look in the video is much more seductive, as she wears her hair loose and wavy and packs on the thick red lipstick. Of course, the video is not completely without political symbolism. The artist, who previously showed her support for the Tamil Tigers with her song “Paper Planes,” also features two tigers. While the video for “XXXO” only premiered Wednesday, M.I.A.’s fans are likely already familiar with the song. A remix of the song featuring Jay-Z was released back in June, and the artist herself put out the original track (along with the rest of her album ) on her MySpace page in July. Have you seen the “XXXO” clip? What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists M.I.A.

‘I don’t think this is a career-breaker,’ Howard Bragman tells MTV News of apparent suicide attempt. By James Montgomery Fantasia Barrino Photo: Larry Busacca/ Getty Images In the day since former “American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino was rushed to a North Carolina hospital after an apparent suicide attempt, reaction from her fans has been mixed. Some have expressed their support for the singer, while others have criticized her for being “selfish,” given that she is the mother of a 9-year-old girl. While that criticism might seem harsh, it’s certainly par for the course, according to public-relations executive Howard Bragman, who has overseen the career rehabilitations of Isaiah Washington and Naomi Campbell. Barrino can’t worry about what some of her fans might think of her right now, he said, because she has to focus on her own health. And no matter how bad things seem right now, the forgiveness will come. “I think the number-one thing Fantasia has to do is heal. I think she has to get some psychological help, find out what brought her to this moment, and make sure it doesn’t happen again … that is number one,” Bragman told MTV News. “And once that’s under control, then you start to look at your projects on the horizon. You don’t give yourself this timetable. But assuming she’s well enough in a matter of weeks or months to promote her album or her projects, well, the reality is, we live in a very forgiving society. “We like rehab, we like rebirth, we like reconnecting with people,” he continued. “We’re willing to give people a second chance if they look us in the eye and [tell us] why they’re going on with their lives and why they deserve a second chance. I don’t think this is a career-breaker.” Speaking of that career, Barrino will eventually have to return her focus to upcoming projects, including a second season of her VH1 reality show “Fantasia for Real” in September and a new album, Back to Me, which is due August 24. When she finally does, she needs to prepare herself for an onslaught of questions about just what happened Monday. So the best possible strategy, according to Bragman, is to be proactive about things. “I think she’s certainly going to get asked the question about what happened. And if she were my client, I would do one or two very well-orchestrated interviews, possibly a print interview, a People magazine, and then a broadcast interview … and get it out there,” he said. “And then if you’re asked about it again, you say, ‘You know, I’ve really talked about that a lot, and I feel comfortable with what I said, and I’m here to promote my album’ to change the focus a little.” Bragman added that Barrino needs to take time for herself and only come back when she feels strong enough to do so. And when she does, he expects that her fans will welcome her back with open arms. “I think we go back to talent, and I think she’s got great talent, she’s got great heart and great spirit, and I think we want her to succeed,” he said. “I don’t think she’s one of those people we don’t want to see do well. … We’re on her side, and I think she’s going to feel the love when she goes back out there.” Where should Fantasia go from here? Fantasia Overdose Draws Sympathy, Criticism From Fans

Reactions to the ‘American Idol’ champ’s apparent suicide attempt are mixed. By Mawuse Ziegbe Fantasia Photo: Bennett Raglin/WireImage Fantasia Barrino’s apparent attempt to take her own life has sparked a range of reactions from the “American Idol” winner’s fans. On Monday, Barrino suffered a drug overdose after ingesting a mix of aspirin and a sleep aid. The singer was taken to a North Carolina hospital, and a police report listed Barrino’s condition as a “suicide/overdose.” In the wake of the singer’s recent troubles, fans have been divided over Barrino’s alleged suicide attempt. “This is so sad and reminds me of the people who win the lottery but their life falls apart afterwards,” Burker wrote on the “American Idol” fan website Rickey.org. “So many highs and lows in Tasia’s life. I’m rooting for ya babe!” Bfashion58 also expressed support for the troubled “Idol” champ. “My prayers are with Fantasia and her family,” the poster wrote. “What don’t break you will only make you stronger.” “Hope you’ll get better soon Fantasia!! I miss you!!” Chuckgirl2008 wrote on MTV.com. “UR n my prayers Tasia, keep ur head up!!!” Reginald Ready said. Many fans have sent Barrino well-wishes, but the singer has also been the subject of much viral vitriol. Numerous online commenters have blasted Barrino’s suicide attempt as a “selfish” move that would have left her daughter without a mom. “I’m sorry, but trying to commit suicide when you are a mother is probably the most selfish thing a person can do,” Max wrote on the Clutch magazine website. “I do not feel sorry for her, I feel sorry for her daughter.” “I’m sorry but I can not feel bad for Fantasia,” an anonymous poster declared on TheYBF.com. “The thought of her taking her life and leaving her DAUGHTER parent-less over some man is very selfish to [me].” Several fans have referenced Barrino’s reported relationship with a married man as the cause of her alleged suicide attempt. The singer was named in court documents filed last week by Paula Cook, the wife of Barrino’s supposed boyfriend Antwaun, charging that the two started a “covert adulterous affair” last August. The documents also allege that the duo filmed a sex tape, which precipitated the collapse of the marriage. “I find it hard to feel bad for her bc I believe she knew what she was doing,” another TheYBF anonymous poster wrote. “Not to sound heartless, but even if she didn’t know he was married [I’m] sure she found out along the way.” “As a married woman, it is tough to feel sorry for women like this,” Clutch Mag Online poster Maria wrote. “As a celebrity she needs to think twice before doing anything that could ruin her career. Plus why go after a married man when there are so many single men out there to choose from?” “Fantasia is a sorry excuse for a [woman],” another anonymous poster typed on TheYBF. “She got caught and now she’s trying to dig her way out and I have no remorse for her.” Barrino’s drug overdose was just the latest incident in a life that has been marked by incredible highs and devastating lows. The singer overcame sexual abuse, teen pregnancy and illiteracy to take the “American Idol” crown in 2004. Barrino went on to release the platinum debut Free Yourself and starred in Broadway’s “The Color Purple.” However, the star reportedly skipped more than 50 “Color Purple” performances, and one of Barrino’s homes went into foreclosure in 2008. Yet, in 2010, Barrino appeared to be enjoying a return to the spotlight with the hit VH1 show “Fantasia for Real.” She also recently dropped the single “Bittersweet.” Fantasia fans remain split over her recent issues, however. Some commenters, such as Itgirlstyle, insist that the public should have sympathy despite Barrino’s celebrity. “Nobody is perfect, and we have all have made mistakes/choices we aren’t proud of. The difference is, when celebrities make mistakes, it’s broadcast to the world and all of a sudden everybody is perfect and feel they have the right to judge and condemn,” the commenter wrote on Clutch. “Hold your head up, Tasia.” Share your well-wishes for Fantasia and her family in the comments below. What Does ‘Lost’ ‘s Hurley Think Of Weezer’s Hurley? We Asked Him!

‘It’s extremely special … that this is actually happening,’ Jorge Garcia says of being face and inspiration for band’s new album. By James Montgomery The cover of Weezer’s Hurley Photo: Epitaph Most folks probably know Jorge Garcia as Hugo “Hurley” Reyes, the loveably scruffy character he portrayed for six seasons on “Lost.” But earlier this week, Garcia’s name was thrust back into the spotlight again when it was revealed that he was the cover star of — and apparent inspiration for — Weezer’s upcoming Hurley album . But according to Garcia, none of this should really come as a surprise. After all, he’s been a music-industry vet for years now. “I used to work at this store called Music Plus in San Clemente, California, when I was growing up, and then they became Blockbuster Music, and, like, you had to get a haircut to work there, and at the time I had some pretty long hair. So after that policy was imposed, I knew that was going to be my last summer working there,” Garcia told MTV News on Wednesday (August 11). “And then a little later, I worked in the music department of Borders, selling CDs there. So I remember the boxes of CDs coming … and I remember in the morning, setting up the ‘new release’ endcaps and having to put a bunch of copies on there and making sure they were properly stickered and all that.” And although you’d think that kind of retail experience would’ve made him a natural to grace an album cover one day, Weezer were actually the first band to come calling. And, yes, Garcia finds the entire thing just as weird as you do. “I went to do the George Lopez show [‘Lopez Tonight’], and I think they were doing two or three shows that night, and [Weezer frontman] Rivers [Cuomo] was a guest in the previous show. So they came and knocked on my door and said, ‘Hi,’ and wanted to get a picture with me, and I thought that was awesome. We chatted briefly, and that was it,” he said. “And I didn’t hear until a couple months later that they wanted to put me on the cover … I didn’t realize it was just going to be that same picture we took together, cropped down to my face. When I look at the picture, I notice that there’s something going on with my hair, like it’s starting to come loose or something. But I’m happy with it.” Garcia, who cites Bon Iver, M. Ward and the New Pornographers as some of his favorite acts, said he’s always been a casual fan of the Weezer (“I don’t recognize Maladroit so much,” he laughed) and added that being featured on the cover of Hurley is one of the biggest honors he’s received in his career. “This is really close to the top, for sure,” he said. “I think the [‘Lost’] action figure still kind of trumps it, but just coming from where I come from, it’s extremely special and dear to my heart that this is actually happening.” While Garcia will make an appearance in stores on August 24 when the sixth season of “Lost” is released on DVD, he’s really looking forward to September 14, when Hurley is due. Though, given his previous retail experience, he’s already dreading what might happen. “Sometimes when we were pricing CDs, we’d just put the stickers all over the place, until we got the instructions we had to put them in a certain place,” he said. “So I’m sure there will be some people that take advantage of having such an easy target to do whatever sticker graffiti they want to.” What do you think of Weezer paying tribute to Jorge’s “Lost” character? Kanye West Shows Off His Artwork In 2005 Video

Years before he collaborated with artist Marco Brambilla for his ‘Power’ clip, ‘Ye shared some early drawings with Sway. By Jayson Rodriguez Kanye West Photo: MTV News Throughout his career, Kanye West has displayed the soul of an artist, from his austere “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” video to the just-released “moving portrait” for “Power.” Back in August 2005, the rapper spoke with MTV News about art and even showed Sway some of his early sketches. Among the collection was a colorful drinking glass, a slow-burning cigarette and a portrait of Emmett Till. “I think I was always on some sarcastic, trying to get a rise out of people [vibe],” West explained. “I tried to get something that connects more than just the glass. So this is my take on glass.” The collection also included an anime-inspired self-portrait of the “Power” superstar and another image of a man in bed whose life had passed. “This one was really hard to draw,” he said of the latter. “It was a good experience the teacher gave us. We had to deal with perspective.” He admitted, however, the sketch — dated 1995 — was not very good. “Someone should have killed me for how bad it was,” he said. West said for his videos, artwork or graphic imaging he uses drawing “as a language.” Artist Marco Brambilla directed the “Power” clip , and the artist received ‘Ye’s translation loud and clear, both for the imagery and the rapper’s forthcoming album. “I instantly connected to the themes on the album,” Brambilla told MTV News of West’s yet-untitled next LP. “The whole idea of celebrity, the idea of power, the idea of sensuality in it, there’s sexuality in it as well, and those were all kind of themes that I’ve explored in my work before. Once I heard the album, that was what clinched it, and I felt very much in tune with the message behind the music.” What do you think of Kanye’s work as an artist? BP is selling the fake story that there’s no oil

BP's PR department is trotting out its paid shills to sell the false story that most of the oil spilled in their leak has been 'processed by nature' and has miraculously dissipated. Don't believe a word of it…. ~ Ohhhh … this is what BP's public relations department has been working on. BP is trying to sell the story that “everyone” is asking “where is all the oil?”. More than a few stories have popped up during my news reading that raise that question. One of the most galling articles was written up in Time.com by Michael Grunwald which carried the headline “BP Oil: Has the Damage Been Exaggerated?” His piece extensively quotes people who Grunwald admits are on BP's payroll. Not surprisingly, their quotes overwhelming call into question the real impact of the oil, actually downplaying the disastrous impact of dumping a few hundred million gallons of oil, toxic dispersants, and methane into the ocean. Let's look at some of Grunwald's piece. Marine scientist Ivor van Heerden, another former LSU prof, who's working for a spill-response contractor, says, “There's just no data to suggest this is an environmental disaster. I have no interest in making BP look good — I think they lied about the size of the spill — but we're not seeing catastrophic impacts.” Heerden, who gets funding from BP, suggests that a lack of data means the impact wasn't catastrophic. It ignores that the disaster is still relatively fresh and that loads of data will be collected in the future by scientists studying the leak. It also blithely flitters over the fact that BP has resisted scientists from collecting data at every step of the way — for one, we don't know exactly how much was leaking out because BP didn't allow flow-rate monitors to be put in place. Another bit of Heerden: Mother Nature can be incredibly resilient. Van Heerden's assessment team showed me around Casse-tete Island in Timbalier Bay, where new shoots of Spartina grasses were sprouting in oiled marshes and new leaves were growing on the first black mangroves I've ever seen that were actually black. “It comes back fast, doesn't it?” van Heerden said. No, it doesn't. Heerden is dissembling, grasses don't “come back” in mere months after a spill. You can still scratch below the sand in Valdez, Alaska, and find oil. It's the same for nearly every large oil spill in recent history. Yes, oil does eventually break down, but when a large spill happens, a lot of the oil can get preserved underneath the surface, screwing up the food web for decades. BP's spill was unique in how deep it was; it's thought that the cold, dark, deep waters the oil flowed into could act as a similar preserving agent. And even when the oil does get eaten by bacteria, it can cause massive dead zones by sucking out all the oxygen out of the surrounding waters. Another: So far, the teams have collected nearly 3,000 dead birds, but fewer than half of them were visibly oiled; some may have died from eating oil-contaminated food, but others may have simply died naturally at a time when the Gulf happened to be crawling with carcass seekers. In any case, the Valdez may have killed as many as 435,000 birds. NOAA says that for every one bird that was found oiled and dead, another 99 were brought out to sea and were uncounted. Those 3,000 dead sea birds mean that at least 297,000 other birds died unseen. That's not too far off from Valdez's official tally of 435,000 birds. Both are terrible numbers. Another gem: LSU coastal scientist Eugene Turner has dedicated much of his career to documenting how the oil industry has ravaged Louisiana's coast with canals and pipelines, but he says the BP spill will be a comparative blip and predicts that the oil will destroy fewer marshes than the airboats deployed to clean up the oil. “We don't want to deny that there's some damage, but nothing like the damage we've seen for years,” he says. Oh, I feel better. BP's single spill didn't do as much damage as decades of the oil industry tearing up the Gulf Coast. Don't you feel better? The one paragraph where Grunwald talks about the potential dangers — the long-term effects on the food web and ecosystem and the potential for huge dead zones — are followed with this breezy throw away: “People always fear the worst in a spill, and this one was especially scary because we didn't know when it would stop,” says [geochemist Jacqueline] Michel, an environmental consultant who has worked spills for NOAA for more than 30 years. “But the public always overestimates the danger — and this time, those of us in the spill business did, too.” It ends: Anti-oil politicians, anti-Obama politicians and underfunded green groups all have obvious incentives to accentuate the negative in the Gulf. So do the media, because disasters drive ratings and sell magazines; those oil-soaked pelicans you saw on TV (and the cover of TIME) were a lot more compelling than the healthy ones I saw roosting on a protective boom in Bay Jimmy. Even [Rush] Limbaugh, when he wasn't downplaying the spill, outrageously hyped it as “Obama's Katrina.” But honest scientists don't do that, even when they work for Audubon. “There are a lot of alarmists in the bird world,” Kemp says. “People see oiled pelicans and they go crazy. But this has been a disaster for people, not biota.” How can Paul Kemp possibly say that the oil spill isn't a disaster for “biota”, also known as all the plants and animals in the Gulf? Hundreds of millions of gallons of oil and nearly as much natural gas was released into the ocean. The spill is now killing everything in its path, leaving behind oxygen-starved waters and contaminating the food chain itself (oil has been found inside baby crabs). The oil that makes it ashore chokes off plant life and decimates birds and habitat. It settles in and is likely to cause death and disease for the next few decades. On top of the oil, BP dumped millions of gallons of Corexit, a toxic, oil-derived solvent and dispersant that helped keep the oil from floating to the surface and that has been shown to make the oil more toxic by making it easier for organisms to absorb. BP's oil spill killed a lot of life; it's downright preposterous for anyone to suggest that it was anything short of a disaster. Mac McClelland, who has been covering BP's oil spill better than almost anyone out there, was wonderfully blunt in a recent article in Mother Jones: “WASHINGTON (AFP) – With BP's broken well in the Gulf of Mexico finally capped, the focus shifts to the surface cleanup and the question on everyone's lips is: where is all the oil?” NEW ORLEANS (Mother Jones) – I don't know who the BLEEP (Shea's note: Mac doesn't say 'BLEEP', but MNN likes to keep the language PG-13, so I have to bleep out her much better original word) these everyones are, but I'm happy to help out them, and ABC, and this AFP reporter writing that due to BP's stunningly successful skimming and burning efforts, “the real difficulty now is finding any oil to clean up.” (the rest in comments) added by: samantha420
