Full-Frontal Flick Shame Gets an NC-17 Rating, Absolutely No One Is Surprised

Our Skin Skout has already reported that Shame , starring Michael Fassbender as a Manhattanite sex addict, is absolutely bursting at the seams with nudity. Carey Mulligan makes her full-frontal debut as Fassbender’s estranged sister, and up-and-comers Mari-Ange Ramirez, Charisse Bellante , Nicole Beharie and Amy Hargreaves all bare boobs as his one-night stands. So when the prudes over at the MPAA slapped an NC-17 rating on this bad boy, it surprised…well, no one, actually. The MPAA is notorious for its double standards for violence (Graphic torture? R) and nudity (Cunnilingus? NC-17), and director Steve McQueen sold the distribution rights to his film with the stipulation that the winner could not cut a single frame, no matter what the rating. So distributor Fox Searchlight is still going full speed ahead with Shame ‘s December 2, 2011 release date, despite restrictions on the marketing of NC-17 films. Could Shame be heralding a revival of racy, adults-only dramas (think Last Tango in Paris ) skinfiltrating a theater near you? Skin Central says the PG-13’s reign of non-nude terror has gone on long enough- long live the NC-17! Give yourself a Mulligan with Carey Mulligan nude right here at MrSkin.com!

Shame Trailer: Michael Fassbender Battles Sex Addiction For an Oscar

For the past few weeks, Movieline’s own S.T. VanAirsdale has been listing Michael Fassbender as one of the top five front runners for next year’s Best Actor Oscar for his work in Steve McQueen’s* upcoming erotic drama Shame . Finally, a trailer for the acclaimed film has surfaced, giving evidence again for why Fassbender — who played X-Men: First Class ‘s Magneto — is so worthy of your crushes, why he ran away with the Best Actor Award at this year’s Venice Film Festival and why all of those early rave reviews for Shame were warranted.

Fox Searchlight Picks Up Shame; NC-17 Next?

Carey Mulligan Makes Her Full-Frontal Nude Debut in Shame

Shame , the second film by Steve McQueen (the British director, not “Bullitt”) had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last week. Even the jaded critics in the audience were shocked by the film’s sexplicit NC-17 content, including indiewire ‘s David Gritten , who called the movie “edgy” and “transgressive.” Gritten went on to say: Michael Fassbender plays Brandon, a successful thirtysomething Manhattan executive…He is obsessed by sexual gratification, and surfs internet porn on his computer at work and his laptop at home. He seduces women in bars, on the subway and in his office. Carey Mulligan co-stars as Fassbender’s capricious sister, who apparently proves that sex addiction can be genetic: Fassbender has several scenes involving full-frontal nudity and Mulligan has one of her own. .. Presumably it would receive an NC-17 rating, and even liberal American audiences are more likely to be turned off by its explicitness than their European counterparts. …in other words, a perfect date movie, if your date is a smut-minded European. (And if she is, does she have any single friends we can call?) This will be the full-frontal debut for pixie-maned Carey, who has briefly shown her suck sacks in When Did You Last See Your Father ? (2007) and The Greatest (2009). Carey’s will NOT be the only female flesh on display, either; earlier this summer, several up-and-coming actresses shocked passerby by engaging in public nudity while filming in Manhattan ( See the pics here ). Shame ‘s release dates are still TBA, but members can see more from Carey Mulligan right now here at MrSkin.com!

‘Jackass’ Team Planning Ryan Dunn MTV Tribute

Director Jeff Tremaine hopes special will ‘celebrate his life.’ By James Montgomery Ryan Dunn Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images In the time since his death, “Jackass” star Ryan Dunn has been remembered by his friends and fans, and his life was celebrated in a special tribute video played during a memorial service held in Los Angeles. Now, his “Jackass” associates are planning to honor his legacy with an MTV special, which will feature his greatest moments — and never-before-seen outtakes — from the wildly popular stunt show and subsequent feature films. That’s according to “Jackass” director Jeff Tremaine, who spoke to entertainment site Screen Junkies following MTV’s presentation at the annual Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles. “We’re gearing up to do a tribute to Ryan,” Tremaine told the site. “That’s our next project. [His death] hurt pretty bad. It’s hurt everybody, but we want to celebrate his life and show everybody. We have just such an amazing bank of footage of him. We’re going to dig it all up so we’ll discover it too.” A spokesperson for MTV couldn’t be reached for comment by press time, but Tremaine said he hopes the Dunn special will air in the fall and will include new interviews with the late star’s “Jackass” associates. He also hinted that the show may finally reveal some classic footage that, so far, has remained in the vaults of Dickhouse Productions — for various reasons. “There’s always been the Van Surfing, him and Chris [Pontius] re-enacting a scene from ‘Teen Wolf’ that didn’t go well,” he said. “Ryan was riding on the roof of the van and the van was speeding towards a body of water, stopped a little bit short. He made it to the water but the water was only like five inches deep, slammed pretty bad. We decided not to air that because we thought that kids might imitate it too easily.” Related Videos Remembering Ryan Dunn Related Photos Ryan Dunn: A Career In Photos
