The Carrie Diaries has cast its Samantha Jones in Lindsey Gort. The relative newcomer has landed the role of the outspoken BFF of Annasophia Robb’s Carrie Bradshaw in the CW drama’s upcoming Season 2. Of course, the role was made famous by Kim Cattrall in HBO’s hit series Sex and the City , and they’ve certainly found a dead-ringer in this youngster: Lindsey Gort is coming on board as a series regular, which means fans can expect to see tons of Samantha in the new season alongside Ms. Bradshaw. In a statement, The Carrie Diaries’ producers said: “Through a surprising connection, our young Carrie Bradshaw will meet one of the most important people in her life this season in a role made iconic by Kim Cattrall.” “Samantha Jones is a ballsy, beautiful, sexy young woman from the panhandle of Florida who makes her way – and already a name for herself – in the rock ‘n’ roll scene of 1980s NYC.” The Carrie Diaries returns Friday, October 25 on the CW.

The Bachelor Women Tell All Preview: All About Tierra!

Whether you’re Team Catherine or Team Lindsay, and whether you read The Bachelor spoilers or you don’t, we can all agree on the following point: Tierra LiCausi is insane. The Bachelor firebrand returns next Monday night for The Women Tell All Special, the annual pre-finale cat-fight-fest that will no doubt be all about her. The Bachelor Clip – Tierra LiCausi “Sparkle” The special episode, which reunites all of the women that competed for Sean Lowe’s heart, is mostly filler and largely uninteresting … but maybe not this year. After all, Tierra, who is now engaged to another man, is a total wildcard, and not just because she can’t control her infamous eyebrow (see clip above). “It’s my facial expression! Just like when you talk, you don’t know what you look like when you talk,” she reportedly says. “Who cares about my eyebrow?” “Who cares? That thing has its own Twitter!” Of course, the collective beef with Tierra extends beyond that thing. AshLee Frazier and the others will no doubt have a lot to say about Tierra’s attitude. The Bachelor Women Tell All & Season Finale Preview Will we learn who Tierra LiCausi is engaged to? Will she even still be engaged by the time this episode airs? Vanessa Hudgens to Cosmo: I’m a Total Gypsy Bohemian!

Vanessa Hudgens was born in the wrong decade. That’s how she phrases it to Cosmopolitian in that magazine’s latest issue, donning a flower child-esque outfit (and showing some cleavage!) while admitting: “I’m a total gypsy Bohemian.” Meaning what, exactly? “If I could go back in time, I’d be front row for Janis Joplin at Woodstock!” Hudgens says, adding of the annual Coachella Valley Music and Arts Annual Festival: “The first time I went, I thought, ‘This is heaven.’ You just feel completely free. I’m going to go every single year until I die.” Austin Butler, Vanessa’s boyfriend of a year and a star on The Carrie Diaries , is also featured in the interview. But instead of talking about fashion or music preferences or even Vanessa Hudgens nude , the actor gets serious and addresses past personal struggles. “I went through a period when I was rebellious and a mess of a person,’ Butler says. “I’d swing from happy to depressed, and I realized the patterns of my mental state were contingent on the feelings I was allowing in my head. “Depression and anxiety can’t fit in your head if you’re cultivating feelings of joy and inspiration. So now every morning, I go for a walk and list all the things I’m grateful for. It makes me so happy.” Sounds like an important lesson from which we all could learn a thing or two.

I’m not used to seeing Vanessa Hudgens this dressed up, she always seems to either be in leggings, workout gear, or a bikini. Anyway, here she is at the Carrie Diaries premiere wearing a dress that shows a good amount skin, but not really in the right places. Luckily, I can fill in the gaps from memory. AnnaSophia Robb in The Carrie Diaries: First Look!

The CW has released the first promotional photo of AnnaSophia Robb from the set of The Carrie Diaries , that network’s upcoming pilot based on the high school years of Carrie Bradshaw. What do you think? Can she pull off the curly high? The designer clothing? The overall look that Sarah Jessica Parker made famous for years on HBO and then on the big screen? Compare the two actresses now: Says executive producer Amy B. Harris of casting Robb in this huge role: “Her grace, intelligence, sense of fun and her empathetic nature make her the perfect girl to bring [the character to life.] The fact that she loves a gorgeous pair of heels doesn’t hurt either.” Will you be tuning in for The Carrie Diaries? The CW Casts Carrie Bradshaw!

The CW has tracked down its Carrie Bradshaw. Relatively unknown actress AnnaSophia Robb ( Soul Surfer , Charlie and the Chocolate Factor ) has landed this highly sought after role. She’ll portray a teenage version of the character Sarah Jessica Parker made famous on The Carrie Diaries , an upcoming pilot based on Candance Bushnell’s prequel of a novel. The series will follow around Carrie during her high school days in New York City and be set in the 1980s. It had originally been pitched as a movie – with Blake Lively, Selena Gomez and Elizabeth Olsen in key roles – but The CW swept in a few weeks ago and purchased the television script rights. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Photo: MTV News In the newly released “The Carrie Diaries,” a written prequel of sorts to the “Sex and the City” series, readers follow a teenage Carrie Bradshaw as she navigates her senior year of high school. Now, with “Sex and the City 2” mania heating up, it seems only a matter of time before the book gets the TV or film treatment. But who could fill the iconic Carrie’s shoes &#8212 as well as Sarah Jessica Parker? MTV News recently caught up with the actress, who was promoting the “Sex” sequel opening May 17, and asked her. “It’s so funny. It’s just been asked of me, of course, in the last 24 hours,” Parker told MTV News about how she’d react to another actress playing a younger Carrie. “It makes perfect sense [that another actress would be cast]. And I would like to be generous of spirit and say, ‘Of course,’ and, ‘I will do so if that is asked of me.’ ” But Parker admitted she wasn’t entirely comfortable with the idea, referencing another iconic character known for her shoes. “It’s just, I don’t know. I can’t imagine anyone else playing Dorothy Gale &#8212 just Judy Garland,” Parker smiled with a nod to “The Wizard of Oz.” Parker can probably rest easy for now though, as adaptation plans seem to be a ways off. “The Carrie Diaries” author Candace Bushnell recently told MTV News, “It’s not in my hands, so there aren’t any plans at this moment.
