‘RHOAS11’ Recap: Kandi Makes A Surprising Gesture Toward Porsha

See the article here:

Source: Tasia Wells / Getty The Real Housewives of Atlanta crew is still in Tokyo! Now it’s time for Eva’s second official bachelorette party. Tanya is hosting the party and planned a mix of culture with the typical bachelorette stuff so this is going to be interesting. NeNe comes through and acts weird the entire time. She’s basically taking her drama with Gregg out on everyone. But things get really amusing when the Japanese stripper comes through. He doesn’t speak English but it’s an interesting experience as he dances in a g-string and socks, and is generally very ironically reserved. He even bows after finishing his dance. This type of stripper culture is obviously super far off from what these ATLiens are used to, but they made due, and definitely cracked jokes.   Once the stripper leaves, Tanya introduces some games. The first game was where they’re supposed to dress in the most outlandish Harajuku-inspired looks they can, but they don’t like Tanya’s game so they shift to more traditionally raunchy bachelorette stuff. Then they take the party out on the town and have a blast. The next day, NeNe gets a chance to speak to Gregg on the phone and tells him she didn’t have a good time on the trip because of what’s going on between them. She’s exhausted nurturing him all the time and not having anyone to lift her up. Plus she doesn’t like who Gregg has become with cancer. Cynthia comes to check on her so she cuts the conversation with Gregg short, but this is the moment she finally gets to break down. She comes to tears as she explains to Cynthia that she’s tired of being strong all the time and that she sometimes needs to be vulnerable. Cynthia is all ears and very supportive like a good girlfriend should be. The next day, they hit the town for a samurai lesson. That turns out to be a clumsy, but fun experience. Then we find Eva and NeNe kicking it later on and the next thing you know NeNe gets flowers and a card. It’s from Gregg and he’s offering a deep apology. He apologizes for the pain he inflicted on her, tells her he loves her and asks her to let him back into her heart. NeNe is crying so hard she can barely stand it but it seems like it’s happy tears. Finally, Eva brings the group together for a final dinner in Tokyo. They discuss their highs, lows, hopes, dreams, and plans. They’re actually supportive of each other and there’s actually no drama or cattiness.  Then comes the moment where Kandi surprises everyone by telling Porsha that she feels crappy about some of the things she said about Dennis because she experienced that behavior from people with Todd, and Todd turned out to be amazing. So she understands how Porsha feels and apologizes for her behavior with regard to that. Porsha accepts her apology and is committed to moving forward and having better communication between them with hopes that they can once be cool again like they were. They hug it out just in time to head back to Atlanta! Brad Pitt Attended Jennifer Aniston’s Birthday Party and We Have So Many Questions

It’s official, folks: Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have finally reunited. We mean this literally, although now nearly every citizen out there is wondering: Might we soon mean this romantically? Granted, this question has been posed over and over and then over again over the years. We’re not just conjuring it up out of nowhere this time, however. Pitt was spotted on Saturday night outside the Sunset Tower in Los Angeles… where his famous ex-wife was being feted at the time for her 50th birthday. Us Weekly and TMZ have both confirmed this surprising piece of news, with the latter writing that Pitt tried to avoid the paparazzi upon arriving for the party. Others on hand for the milestone occasion included: Robert Downey, Jr., Reese Witherspoon, Rande Gerber, Pharrell Williams, Keith Richards, Gwyneth Paltrow, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, George and Amal Clooney, David Arquette, Courtney Cox and Barbra Streisand. But let’s face it: Celebrity gossip followers only care that Pitt somehow snagged an invite. This begs many questions, of course: Who extended the invite? For how long have Pitt and Aniston been back in touch? Just how close are they these days? And, naturally, might they someday get back together? This last question was nothing but wild speculation just a few years ago, but a lot has changed since then. Pitt is now divorced from Angelina Jolie, for whom Pitt left Aniston in 2005 after five years of marriage. Moreover, Aniston is now divorced from Justin Theroux after just two years of wedded semi-bliss. As you can see by the cover stories above and below, tabloids have jumped on this topic over the past several months, wondering whether Aniston and Pitt – both now single – could actually start bumping uglies once again. That’s a slang term for having sex. Upon her split from Theroux, reports circulated that Theroux actually found love notes that Aniston had saved from her time with Pitt. “He stumbled upon old Post-it notes Brad had written,” a source told Us Weekly last year. “Sweet little Post-its like, ‘You looked nice tonight’ or ‘Miss you already.” Wow, right?!? Pitt and Jolie, meanwhile, recently agreed upon terms for their divorce settlement, following many months of arguing over major custody issues involving their six kids. Aniston and Theroux never had any children and, by all accounts, broke up pretty easily and amicably. Aniston told Elle in an interview in December that she considered her two marriages to have “been very successful,” despite both ending in divorce. “When they came to an end, it was a choice that was made because we chose to be happy, and sometimes happiness didn’t exist within that arrangement anymore,” she explained. That’s a very mature attitude, don’t you think? We commend Aniston for having it and we admire her as a person, but we also have one request: PLEASE GET BACK TOGETHER WITH PITT! We could really use the content. View Slideshow: 13 Reasons to Be Glad You Never Slept With Brad Pitt

Jill Duggar: PROOF She’s Pregnant Again?!

One of the most common things to gossip about when it comes to the Duggar family is pregnancy. It’s just kind of what happens when you become famous for having 19 children. Seriously, just think about what that must be like for a moment. Giving birth to 19 children, all those pregnancies, all those newborns, all those rambunctious little kids. And that’s just speaking generally: we can’t even imagine how much more complicated things must have gotten when you throw in the Duggars’ special little quirks. Yep, Jim Bob and Michelle birthed 19 human beings, and now, those human beings are growing up and spawning themselves. As many of them reach courting age, well, the kids just won’t stop coming. So basically, Jessa, Jill, Jinger, and Joy-Anna could, at any given time, be pregnant, and there’s always tons of speculation about it. And today, we’re going to speculate about the state of Jill’s uterus. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, are already parents to two children, sons Israel and Samuel. Little Sam is the younger of the two, and he’ll have his second birthday in July. They’re running a little behind schedule for this family, right? Unfortunately, we know that both of Jill’s deliveries were complicated. Both times, she planned to give birth at home with a midwife, as is Duggar tradition, but both times, she ended up in the hospital due to concerns for the baby. And both times she had to have a c-section. It could be that there’s some kind of problem that’s making it difficult for Jill to follow in her mother’s footsteps, or it could be that she and Derrick are happy with two children. OR MAYBE SHE’S PREGNANT RIGHT AT THIS VERY MOMENT! Yep, Jill recently shared some photos of herself wearing some clothing items from cousin Amy Duggar’s new boutique, and the shirts were all very loose. Suspiciously loose. If you check out the comments on the photos, lots of Jill’s followers think something is going on here. Several people asked variations of “Hiding a bump?” and “Another baby on the way?” One person told her “You look like you are glowing …”, and we all know what that means. As one commenter pointed out, with everything we know about the Duggars “it’s not far-fetched to think she could possibly be hiding a baby bump.” And then there were the people who just wrote things like “Pregnant!” Of course, lots of Jill’s fans felt the need to stand up for her by telling everyone else that it’s rude to ask a woman if she’s pregnant, and generally that is true. But Jill is just as thin as ever, so it’s not like anyone’s saying she looks big, you know? Also, as we’ve said, the family has built their livelihood on being pregnant, so it would be kind of weird if no one ever wondered about it . All of the curiosity boils down to the fact that Jill has apparently just gotten herself a variety of loose, flowy shirts. Ones that a woman might wear in the early days of pregnancy when their regular shirts are uncomfortable and it’s not time to break out the maternity wear yet. Is this definitive proof that we should be looking out for a pregnancy announcement soon? Of course not. We should be looking out for a pregnancy announcement based solely on the fact that Jill is a Duggar of breeding age. Duh. Black History Month Almost Takes An L While Black Women Continue To Shine: This Week’s Winners & Losers

Continue reading here:

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Black History Month was sooo close to losing this first full week of February. The racist ridiculousness was something serious.  But as the ancestors said before us, still we rise. Check out the losers for the week below, then hit the next page to find out who helped save what was left of Black History month! Losers People who don’t know what racism is Clearly, racism needs to get more airtime in school classrooms because it seems people still don’t understand the full weight of the phenomenon. The topic received a lot of attention this week starting with Liam Neeson who revealed that he once went looking to kill a “Black bastard” after his friend said she was raped by a Black man. Neeson explained himself on Good Morning America   and how he regretted his feelings at the time. However, he never once said that his actions and sentiments were racist. As a matter of fact, he went on to say “I’m not racist, this was nearly 40 years ago.”   Sorry Liam, that was racist. Find out why here. The non-acknowledgement of racism didn’t stop here, however. The next day, Neeson’s co-star in the movie Widows Michelle Rodriguez had the audacity to defend Neeson by saying: “Dude, have you watched  Widows ? His tongue was so far down  Viola Davis’  throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue—so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bullsh**. Ignore it. He’s not a racist.”   Father help us. I guess Michelle missed that unit on Black fetishization in her 5th grade history class. And guess what Michelle? It’s all tied to the one big family of… R A C I S M.   And finally, you’d think after think pieces, Twitter rants and Facebook arguments, people would understand that blackface is bad and also has ties to racism , right? Naw. According to a recent YouGov poll , only 58 percent of Americans believe blackface is bad. Meanwhile, Gucci is making blackface sweaters and current Democrat leaders, like Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam , are being pinned for their blackface past. *Sigh* Either  A LOT of teaching needs to be done or people just don’t care. Either way, racism is clearly still alive.

Social Media Reacts As Jay-Z Throws All His Resources Behind Freeing 21 Savage

Source: Shareif Ziyadat / Getty Instead of beefing with the next generation of Hip Hop, Jay-Z has been there to act as a big brother to some of the newer rappers coming up in the game. He put all of his resources behind making sure Meek Mill was released from prison last year and now he hopes to help 21 Savage . In case you missed it, Jay-Z called the arrest and detention of 21 Savage by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement “an absolute travesty.” “His U Visa petition has been pending for four years” Jay continued, adding that “in addition to being a successful recording artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his children immediately.” See the official Roc Nation statement below. She'yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph ( @21savage ) is currently 26 years old, an engaged father of 3 children who were born in the U.S. U.K. born Abraham-Joseph has been living in the U.S. since the age of 7. pic.twitter.com/T2sfILYEF3 — Team Roc (@teamroc) February 6, 2019 Alex Spiro, the lawyer Jay-Z hired to assist 21 Savage moving forward, also reportedly told TMZ  “We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge … What we have here is someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for 4 years – not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed.” Fan or critic, you have to admit Hov, who just recently launched a criminal justice reform organization, is about that action—and we aren’t the only ones that feel that way. What This Young Mother Living With HIV Wants You To Know

More:

Source: Masonia Traylor / Masonia Traylor When Masonia Traylor tested positive for HIV in 2010, the then-23-year-old was in a state of utter shock. See, since Masonia was a teen, she was adamant on getting tested regardless of being in what she believed were low-risk monogamous relationships. And every year, her tests came back negative, until that day, when it didn’t. “I thought they were lying, that they got somebody’s blood mixed up with mine,” Traylor told HelloBeautiful . Three days later, after she went to see an infectious disease specialist it began to sink in that HIV was her reality. “When they started withdrawing blood from me over and over again, I realized that it was real. This is what was happening and happening to me.” What she didn’t really expect was what she found out next. Two weeks later, she found out she was pregnant with her second child. However, with the help of her doctor’s support and taking her antiretrovirals, Masonia gave birth to a HIV-negative baby girl, who has remained negative for nearly eight years. Traylor, who is currently finishing her degree in public policy, has dedicated her work to being an advocate having served as a campaign ambassador for CDC’s Act Against AIDS, “Stop HIV Together” and Kaiser Family Foundation, “Greater Than Aids- Empowerment & We Are Family” projects. She’s also a blogger and Community Advisory Board member for The Well Project, a non-profit organization geared for women living with HIV/AIDS. For Traylor, she shares her story so that other Black women will see that HIV can happen to anyone. “I started off as a voice to be out there for other women to see that if I had HIV, being who I am, they could too,” adding, “I felt like maybe HIV was quietly rising in the community and people needed to know about it because I can’t be the only one.” She also speaks out as a way to pay homage to a friend who passed away from complications to AIDS. “I lost a friend to complications of AIDS at a time where I wish I known he had known about my status. I wish he would have known that he wasn’t alone.” For National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD) , the young mother of two and HIV activist talked to us about what Black women to know about this epidemic, why HIV testing is key and why we need to finally erase stigma for good. HelloBeautiful: Being an HIV advocate, what do you want our community to know? Masonia Traylor: I want for us to understand that we have to care and pay attention if we want this epidemic to shift substantially instead of only progressively. I need my community not to feel forced to accept that I have HIV/AIDS but to respect my journey of living with it. Not to mention, education is an important step towards ending the epidemic but so is taking a stand in our community and honoring values around our sexual health to protect one another. That will put us closer to a cure then we’ll ever need. HB: What do you have to say to other Black women who don’t think HIV can happen to them? MT:  The first word of HIV is human. And as long as you’re human, you’re at risk for this disease. If anything, we shouldn’t be the last ones to think that we can be diagnosed with HIV, we need to be the first ones. And we need to not only protect the next generation to come, but be extremely overprotective of our own health more than anybody else. That, and protecting Black women, protecting ourselves, automatically ends up protecting Black men because they end up respecting us more because we respect ourselves. HB: Even in 2019, there is still so much stigma surrounding HIV. Why is erasing stigma so important? MT:  As a community we need to erase stigma to help encourage those living with the virus to not be afraid nor ashamed to forgive themselves, save themselves, and our community. Stigma inflicts pain, and digs deep scars across our minds and hearts. In order to live unapologetically strong, support is needed and destigmatizing HIV/AIDS needs to be erased in order to be supportive. HB: Why everyone should get tested for HIV? MT:  First off, I don’t think testing everyone is realistic due to certain laws [that require patient’s consent to get tested for HIV] and not everyone wants to know their status. And we should respect that choice. However, I wish everyone would get tested just to help slow down transmission and get control of the spread of this disruptive virus. Although I believe that getting tested is not enough prevention, however testing saved my life and has spared many others. Testing keeps unborn babies from being born with HIV/AIDS too. I think it’s better to know what’s going on in your body then to wait and your body suddenly shuts down due to not being proactive of your health. Take care of your health and your body will take care of you. Testing is part of that. HB: Finally, in a world that tries to shame people for being HIV-positive, how you live with HIV with NO shame? MT: I’m able to live unapologetically with HIV because I understand that no one can judge me harder than I judge myself. I have forgiven myself for trusting someone else with my life over trusting myself more. I understand how I can and cannot transmit the virus. I have birthed an HIV-negative baby as proof that I can still live a normal life. I KNOW that if it can happen to me that no one is exempt nor excluded from possibly contracting HIV or developing AIDS. Like I said earlier, I understand that the H in HIV stands for HUMAN which means that as long as you are human it can happen to you. I’m not ashamed of another’s fear.
