Mac Miller Dies; Rapper and Ex-Boyfriend of Ariana Grande Was 26

Shocking news out of the music world today, as TMZ reported moments ago that Mac Miller has passed away .  The widely-acclaimed hip hop artist, whose real name was Malcolm James McCormick, was just 26 years old. Though details about Miller’s passing are scarce at the moment, TMZ is reporting that the cause of death appears to be a drug overdose. Miller’s body was found at his home in San Fernando Valley after authorities were contacted by a friend of the rapper’s. He was reportedly pronounced dead on the scene. Though a respected figure on the hip hop scene since the release of his 2011 mixtape “Best Day Ever” and 2012 debut album,  Blue Slide Park , Miller is perhaps best known for his personal life. Most notably, his romantic relationship with pop superstar Ariana Grande.  Miller and Grande began dating  in 2016. The relationship was often described as a whirlwind romance, and the engagement rumors that circulated on multiple occasions were tellingly never denied by either party. Miller dedicated his 2016 album The Divine Feminine to his then-girlfriend and stated in the press that Grande taught him to reflect on the important role that women had played in his life and development. Sadly, in May of 2018, Grande and Miller broke up . According to Grande, his substance abuse played a role in her decision to end the relationship. Shortly after the split, Miller was arrested  for a DUI hit and run after he crashed his G-Wagon and fled the scene on foot. He was later apprehended at his home and blew twice the legal limit on a breathalyzer test. When fans blamed Grande for the Miller’s downward spiral, she pushed back on social media. “I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be,” she tweeted. “I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years.” Grande added: “Of course I didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was.” According to TMZ, he had a hard time moving on. In the months following the breakup and Grande’s subsequent engagement to Pete Davidson , friends were instructed not to mention the situation in Miller’s presence. Miller seems to have struggled with substance abuse his entire life, to the point that premature death was a subject that was often on his mind and one that he addressed frequently in his music. He delved into great detail about his addiction to promethazine and codeine (a combination known as “purple drank”) on his 2014 album Faces . Addressing his substance abuse issues in a 2012 interview, Miller had this to say: “I’d rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can’t even get out of his house.” “Overdosing is just not cool. You don’t go down in history because you overdose. You just die.” A profile of Miller was published by Vulture on Thursday and contained this tragically illuminating quote about the rapper’s mindset in his final days. “A lot of times in my life,” he said, “I’ve put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived.” He added: “And it creates pressure.” For his last words, publicly anyway, that line is extremely telling. Mac Miller was scheduled to begin a nationwide tour next month. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam His final Instagram post features a portion of his song “So It Goes,” which features the lyrics: “Nine lives, never, die, f-ck a heaven, I’m still gettin’ high.” Our thoughts go out to Miller’s loved ones during this difficult time.

Cheyenne Floyd: Teen Mom OG Fans FURIOUS with Official Casting News!

Earlier this week, MTV finally confirmed the big news: Cheyenne Floyd is joining the cast of Teen Mom OG . It wasn’t the first time we heard the idea of Cheyenne, a star on other MTV reality shows like Are You the One? and The Challenge, becoming a cast member on the show. Far from it, actually. The first reports about Cheyenne came out back in June, and word is that she began filming then too , along with the father of her daughter, ex-boyfriend Cory Wharton. Other Teen Mom players have commented on her , and there were even whispers that she’d possibly been let go for some questionable tweets she made several years ago. But despite all of that, there was no official word on her casting until now. So now Cheyenne will join Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, and fellow newcomer Bristol Palin to make the core group of Teen Mom OG. And in case you haven’t heard, the show’s fans are very, very displeased. When the official Teen Mom Facebook page posted the news, the comment section was full of dismay. “Why do they keep adding random people?” one person asked. “These girls were never on the show to start with and shouldn’t be now.” This is a good point because the “OG” in the title of the show stands for “Original Girls,” because Maci, Amber, Catelynn, and Farrah Abraham, the original cast, have been around since the beginning of the show. They were on the very first season of 16 and Pregnant, and despite the significant pay raises they’ve received over the years, they really did struggle in the early days — and MTV cameras documented it all. As another person pointed out, “Can’t be Teen Mom OG if y’all have 2 new people who aren’t even part of the teen mom franchise smh.” It is a pretty big oversight, considering the title of the show, you know? Someone else popped in the comments with some sarcasm, writing “I saw a lady with a baby outside of Target today. She looked to be about 25 yrs old.” “She was fighting on the phone with her boyfriend, so she fits 3 of the key factors. Hurry up MTV, give her a call!!!” This comment addresses several other issues with Cheyenne’s casting, one being that she’s turning 26 next month and just gave birth to her first child last year. Say what you will about Bristol Palin — seriously, say whatever, it’s cool — but at least she actually was a teen mom. Sure, Cheyenne can probably bring the drama , but it feels like anyone starring on a show called Teen Mom should meet that one basic requirement. Lots of people left comments to say that even though Farrah left the show, things could have gone on with just the three remaining cast members. Many said that they’d fast-forward through Cheyenne and Bristol’s segments, and some said they’d stop watching altogether. Quite a few even said that they felt the show should be cancelled at this point. In conclusion, let’s let one commenter express what the rest of us are thinking: “Wtf this sh-t is getting so stupid.” View Slideshow: Cheyenne Floyd Makes It Official: I’m a Teen Mom OG! Oh, isn’t it though …

Mac Miller Tribute: See What the Rapper’s Mom Just Shared

Mac Miller’s mother has shared a beautiful tribute to her late son. Days after the rapper was shockingly found dead at the age of 26 , due to a suspected drug overdose, Karen Meyers has shared a very simple, albeit very telling and special, picture of her child. You can see it here: In the picture uploaded to Instagram, Meyers and her son (whose real name was Malcolm McCormick) are smiling together at a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game. It’s unclear when the snapshot was taken. But it’s evident why this one was used by Karen to pay tribute to the late rapper. As you can see, Miller is leaning his head against his mom’s and making a funny face; she captioned the photo with a broken heart emoji. And she did so not long after Ariana Grande posted a similar tribute to her long-time boyfriend, a couple months after the stars split and about 48 hours after Miller was found dead. This is the photo Grande shared on social media: She did not pen a caption with it. Miller battled substance abuse issues for years prior to his passing. He was frequently open his addiction, just as Grande was open about the fact that Miller’s problems played a significant role in a relationship that eventually became too “toxic” for her to remain a part of. In the wake of Miller’s overdose, a handful of terrible Internet users dared to blame Grande for Miller’s fatal actions . They also wondered why Ariana did not immediately wrote anything online in response to the tragedy. As if it’s any of their business and as if we should ever judge anyone about how they mourn a loved one. On Friday evening, Miller’s family released a statement about the 26-year old’s death. It reads: “Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26. He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. “Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.” An endless array of musicians have since shared their own thoughts about Miller’s passing, but we’re going to note John Mayer’s message below. The artist only just posted it to Instagram late Saturday night and it stands out for its lengthy and personal nature. This is what Mayer wrote about Miller: This was going to be Mac Miller’s year. He made a quantum leap in his music. That’s incredibly hard to do, to evolve and get better and more focused while your career is already underway. You don’t get there without a lot of work, and Mac had put the work in. I didn’t expect to play on his album the day he played some songs for me at his house, but when I heard “Small Worlds,” I gave it a short, chirpy little “yup,” which is the highest praise I can give a track. It means we don’t need to say another word, it’s going down. I grabbed the nearest guitar in the room and within a couple of hours we had finished a tune that made me so incredibly happy to have a part in, not to mention we established a nice little friendship. He was so funny I just kind of stopped typing “LOL” back in our texts. Mac was, to me, on permanent LOL status. I gave him whatever guidance I thought I had the right to, having been through the press ringer in the past and wanting him to understand that none of that noise could ever really take a bite out of the music he was about to put out. The last time I saw him, he was playing Hotel Cafe’ in Los Angeles for a crowd of 100 people. He was nervous, and honest about it with the audience. I thought that was so endearing, especially seeing as he would go on to play one of the best sets I’d seen in a very long time. His band was unreal. You gotta know that if you weren’t familiar with Mac Miller, you were about to be, whether you would have seen him at a festival, or a friend was going to catch a show and tell everyone they knew about it (like I did.) Mac put in the work. He made his best album and formed the band that was weeks away from becoming a breakout live sensation. Believe me when I say that. I send my love and support to everyone who knew him better, because what relative little I did, I just adored. May Mac Miller rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam

From Kamala Harris To Stacey Abrams: How Black Woman Are Saving Democracy

F rom  Stacey Abrams  to Kamala Harris , a handful of Black women politicians and candidates have been helping the Democratic party to gain traction despite the group’s history of inadequate support of their efforts. RELATED:  From Kavanaugh To Kirstjen Nielsen: Kamala Harris Makes Moves To Fight Trump Administration One of the main ways in which Black women are making a strong impact on behalf of the Party is by running for public office. The list of women who have won primaries in recent months indicates that voters want women of color represented in political positions across the nation. Black women candidates are challenging underrepresentation with strategic voter mobilization efforts and agendas important to voters. With that, they have secured notable victories, from Abrams in the Georgia gubernatorial primary to  Ayanna Pressley  in Massachusetts’ 7th congressional district race . The midterm elections are changing how black women interact with the Democratic Party. Women like @AyannaPressley are fighting for political power and winning https://t.co/lZ7D0vawi0 #WomenInPolitics via @voxdotcom pic.twitter.com/LIuF6gBEuY — iKNOW Politics (@iKNOW_Politics) September 6, 2018 The number of Black women candidates who are running for various offices has also brought attention to the party, with 43 on the ballot.  Jahana Hayes , a teacher, is running for Connecticut’s 5th congressional district, and Lauren Underwood , a political advisor and registered nurse, set her sights on representing Illinois 14th Congressional district. Letitia James , public advocate for the city of New York, has entered the state’s Attorney General race. Of course, Black women Democrats already in office have pushed for more transparency, accountability and social change in their roles. San Francisco Mayor London Breed had advocated for the city to stop charging post-jail fees to residents already in poverty — a wish which came true when a court pardoned a $32 million fee for 21,000 people last month. Senator Harris, the lone Black woman in the Senate, posed questions to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh about his views on Charlottesville “Unite The Right” rally and more during his confirmation hearing this week. Black women who are running to the polls, not for office, have also held it down for the party, which is seeking to gain a  majority in the House and Senate come November. The voting bloc has its strength in numbers, having gotten Abrams to a primary win in May. Black women had also shown up at the ballot box in large numbers for elections in  Virginia  and  Alabama  last year. Both candidates and voters have asked the Democratic party to better address issues facing people of color such as healthcare and the economy. Democrats haven’t even thrown enough support behind Black women candidates, with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) only endorsing Underwood. Democrats are being called on to do more to support candidates so they can do more to support voters and address their issues. Charli XCX Big Girl Tiny Bikini of the Day

I really try my hardest to not leave the house. I don’t have a job. I don’t have hobbies. I don’t have friends and those who have though they were my friends because I’m a really charismatic and great guy people like to be around decide to invite me places…I never go. Sometimes, because I am internet famous, even if no one has ever heard of me, the site has enough traffic for me to get free tickets and invites places….and I refuse to go…I like to sit and stare at walls…I don’t care to write the next great American Novel, movie or TV show…I barely care to come up with clever things to say about sluts, I’ve said it all, I’ve come at this shit from every angle and it is boring..I just like to be left alone…to stare at wall. But I have seen a fat and awkward Charli XCX perform, which is hilarious to me. I don’t go to concerts EVER….but there she was at a club performance…doing something awkward, unexciting, like a soundcloud artist gone viral on social media which kids are excited about…but that was zero exciting or inspiring… She does have big tits though and she shows them off…I’ll give her that, or she’ll give us that….it’s her gift far more exciting than her performing art that has made her “famous” if she’s even famous… I think she may just be the back-up Rita Ora for when Rita Ora craps out….and they need a busty chubby british girl who gets half naked for attention….it’s all a fucking simulation…these are all ROBOTS. Rachel McCord Nude Covered in Mud of the Day

Rachel McCord and really the siblings of all the cast members on the 90210 redo- that was taking a lead from their Canadian friends who did the same concept with Degrassi and ended up creating Drake out of the whole thing….. Only were far less successful than the Canadians were with Degrassi, that shit was huge and created Drak…. Instead, the Americans move on from Nostalgia and progress as a people, full on inclusion and love for their fellow man, of all colors, sizes and ethnicities….especially the Muslim people and Mexicans…proven in all that they talk about on their news channels and social media accounts. So people like Rachel McCord were left to fend for themselves, because Annalynne McCord didn’t pop off quite the way she should have, but she tried… And here she is all unshowered like some homeless person dirty….or covered in feces because that’s how she pays the bills now that her sister can’t be piggy backed anymore… Here is AnnaLynne McCord’s Cameltoe of the Day JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! Lucy Hale Slut at the Gym of the Day

Lucy Hale seems a little retard looking, you know the kind of retard that isn’t full retard, but has retard traits…like little midget arms and a little midget head…without being overly midget that she’d be categorized in her own fetish category on the pornsites you visit….but enough for you to wonder if her hands are small enough to make your dick look big…something you’ve been looking to find for years…but for some reason, a reason called micro penis…you never have. I don’t know why this Lucy Hale is a celebrated young actress, but I guess it has to do with being on a hit show…and roping in fans on social media…making her hireable for the next few years…before the world self destructs because all you vapid assholes are ruining it with your plastic straws. Point being, she’s at the gym but her thighs still rub together. Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham Share New Wedding Details!

On Tuesday, Colton Underwood as confirmed as the next Bachelor . Responses were mixed, but he has to be less controversial than the last dude, right? Speaking of the infamous Arie Luyendyk Jr., his wedding date with his season’s runner-up is looming closer. And he’s giving fans a sneak peek of what wedding guests will soon see for themselves. On Wednesday, Arie Luyendyk Jr. shared a snap his save the date cards with his fans and followers on Instagram. “Sending these out this week!” Arie writes in the captions of his photo. Arie continues, writing: “January can’t come soon enough.” Some might mean that they’re looking forward to winter weather after this hellish summer, but Arie is excited about his wedding date. Take a look: In the process of sharing the card, Arie confirmed the wedding date and location . This wedding will take place on January 12, 2019 in Maui, Hawaii. The precise venue is the historic Haiku Mill, so guests can look forward to lush tropical gardens and the ruins of a 150-year-old sugar cane mill. A wedding in Hawaii for people who don’t live there is very much a destination wedding. Some would say that he and Lauren should have sent out these save the dates at least six months in advance, if not earlier. But we imagine that Lauren is eager to walk down the aisle — out of fear that Arie might once again change his mind. Arie also thanked the online marketplace, Minted, for the save the date design. Arie and Lauren may have fallen in love and even gotten engaged on camera, but they won’t be allowing television cameras at their nuptials. “It’s not your typical beach wedding,” the couple recently told The View . “And it’s a private wedding,” they explained. “So not on TV.” So all of their teasing about having a TV wedding was for nothing. Instead of some big, lucrative TV wedding, they’ll have “just a close group of friends. Probably 100 guests.” “Lauren and I flew to the Maldives at The Bachelor and Becca’s request,” Arie shared last month on Instagram. “It’s a conversation that unfortunately won’t be shown,” he admitted. “But it was really positive for all of us.” Arie admits: “You can imagine this trip could have been very difficult for Lauren but she has supported and stood by me in all of this. …” “I thank and love her everyday because of that,” Arie added. The controversial ex-Bachelor concluded: “We wish Becca all the happiness in the world and can’t wait to see how tonight goes!” While Arie and even Lauren may be supportive of Becca, she was the wronged party, so that’s only fair. A lot of the Bachelor Nation is not yet prepared to forgive Arie for his brutal breakup with Becca. And, quite frankly, a lot of viewers didn’t like him before that, either. Arie’s best bet is probably to wait. Eventually, his brand may recover as his antics become more of a distant memory. Time heals all brands, it seems. On the other hand, if Colton Underwood turns out to be worse as the leading man, it’s very possible that fans will gloss over Arie’s behavior. But it’s difficult to imagine a less popular Bachelor than Arie happening any time soon. View Slideshow: The Bachelor Veterans Blast Arie, ABC for Cruel Finale Break-Up
