So something funny happened after the season finale of Teen Mom OG aired this week … Believe it or not, against all odds, Catelynn Lowell became the most hated cast member on the whole entire show. Or, OK, maybe not the most hated, but if you follow online conversations about Teen Mom, you'll see that Cate has been getting a whole, whole lot of backlash for what happened during this week's show. Does she deserve the criticism for returning to rehab shortly after checking out? Let's investigate! 1. Treatment As we saw this season, Catelynn checked into rehab back in November after she began feeling suicidal. She had a miscarriage and it was very hard for her to handle, so she flew out to Arizona for approximately six weeks of treatment. 2. Doing Well? We didn’t see any actual treatment, but we did see Tyler and Nova visit her, along with other family members. As time went on, she seemed happier and happier, and everyone had high hopes that she was doing well there. 3. Not So Fast But then she came home during the season finale. And we quickly saw that she wasn’t doing as well as it seemed. 4. Sad, Sad, Sad She appeared to be disinterested in everything, which, you know, depression. But this time around, fans of the show weren’t as forgiving with her behavior. 5. Poor Everyone We saw her snap at Nova as she was putting her down for a nap, and we saw Tyler bite his tongue about it — he obviously wasn’t comfortable with what was happening. 6. Exhausted Then when they went to go check out the renovations on the house they’d bought, she sat in the corner while Tyler did business. He bit his tongue again when she explained that she was exhausted, because he watched her sleep all night as he continued to deal with insomnia. View Slideshow

Suicidal Ideation At one point, Catelynn checked herself in for treatment after telling fans she had been contemplating suicide. In the months since, she’s become a role model for young people struggling with mental illness. 4. Tyler Steps Up Catelynn’s husband has been widely praised for supporting her emotionally and assuming more parenting duties during this difficult time, despite struggling with mental health issues of his own. 5. Ups and Downs The Baltierras are currently working together to climb out of a very deep pit. But as the latest Teen Mom OG preview reminds us the process of battling mental illness is a lengthy one with many ups and downs. 6. A Difficult Admission “It’s super hard for me to tell you this thing so keep an open mind,” Catelynn told Tyler in the clip. “I started having really bad anxiety in the mornings. For quite a long time now, there have been rumors that Tyler Baltierra has been cheating on Catelynn Lowell. Like, it’s getting to the point where there are so many rumors you sort of have to wonder if there’s at least a little bit of truth to them. It’s pretty sad, because as we’ve been seeing in this season of Teen Mom OG, Tyler has been nothing but supportive and kind and loving towards Catelynn. And as fans of the show will remember, there’s only been one confirmed case of cheating for this couple, and Tyler wasn’t the one who stepped out. (To be fair though, Catelynn cheated on Tyler when they were like 13 years old, but still, facts are facts.) The whole “Tyler is a cheater” thing started a little over a year ago when a Teen Mom blind item was revealed to be about the Baltierras . “The MTV cameras have turned a blind eye to the cheating by this significant other of an OG Teen Mom because it doesn’t fit in the storyline,” the story went. The thing is, blind items are fun and all, but you can’t really treat them like irrefutable facts. And even if one does turn out to be true, there’s a good chance you’ll never hear about it again. For example, last year there was a blind item about a Teen Mom couple doing hard drugs in a hotel room in L.A. and trashing the place, but did we ever see that on the show? But still, many people did believe that Tyler cheated on Catelynn — probably because with the state their marriage was in at the time, it wasn’t that hard to imagine it. Back then, Cate was unable to do much of anything at all because of her depression, and it was really weighing on Tyler. And it’s interesting, because the same thing has been happening for the past few months, and the same rumors are starting to pop up. In November, Catelynn checked herself into a treatment center to deal with her depression and some suicidal thoughts, and then in January, another blind item came out . “This Teen Mom star has been cheating on his significant other for almost a year,” the item read. “Eventually, when she starts having a clear head she is going to catch on and that could finally push her over the edge to suicide.” So that’s really very dark and also pretty gross, right? Even if it was a confirmed story that he’d been cheating on her, it’s beyond disgusting to suggest that she could kill herself because of it and it would be his fault. And while both Catelynn and Tyler joked about the rumors the first time around, Tyler didn’t take so kindly to all that new speculation. He called out the site that published the blind item, repeatedly denying that he’d cheated on his wife and repeatedly asking for evidence — of course, none was provided. Still, the rumors persisted, and that’s where we’re at now. Yesterday afternoon, someone tweeted that he wondered “how many times” Tyler had cheated on Catelynn. And he actually answered, “More times than I could count,” he wrote, along with that laughing and crying emoji. Obviously he’s being sarcastic, but … come on. It just doesn’t seem like the greatest time to be addressing dumb rumors from strangers on the internet, you know? Especially not like this. Well, it’s that time of year again. Another Teen Mom OG reunion special is upon us, but it’s looking like things will be very different this time around. For instance, if you’re looking forward to another Amber Portwood-Farrah Abraham fight , it seems you’re out of luck for the simple reason that neither party will be in attendance this year. Although to be fair, both women have very good reasons for staying home. As you may recall, Farrah was recently fired from Teen Mom OG due to her refusal to stop performing in live online sex shows. For her part, Amber is pregnant with her second child and is reportedly too far along to fly. Sources say she was able to participate in the reunion from afar using Skype. Believe it or not, Farrah was also represented on set … in a way. Sources say Abraham’s mother, Debra Danielsen, sat down with Dr. Drew for a surprise interview. And when we say “surprise,” we mean pretty much no one saw it coming, as Deb had previously gone on record as saying she would not participate in the reunion. As for the other ladies, it seems both Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout were able to attend. Maci reportedly spent much of her segment updating fans on her increasingly tumultuous relationship with Ryan Edwards. No word on what Cate discussed, but the fact that she attended the taping at all is already creating controversy. Sources say Lowell left rehab early in order to prepare for the reunion. “Cate got permission to come home a few days early,” a source tells Radar Online. “She wants to be home for a while before getting ready for the reunion.” Given that this is the third time Lowell has left treatment ahead of schedule in the past year, fans are understandably concerned that she’s prioritizing her role on the show over her mental health. Obviously, no one other than Cate knows if that’s true, but we can certainly see why she may have felt pressured to attend. A one-hour interview with Maci wouldn’t make for much of a reunion show. Jinger Duggar is nearly halfway home, folks. Or, to be more specific, Jinger Duggar’s impending bundle of joy is nearly halfway home. The young reality star has updated fans on the status of her pregnancy, sharing a new photo on Instagram on Saturday that depicts her standing alongside a chalkboard. We can see a baby bump just starting to form underneath her black shirt, while we can also be treated to a science lesson from Jinger at the same time. “Update on Baby Vuolo,” she wrote as a simple caption to the snapshot above, which includes a message of its own. At 18 weeks, Jinger informs us, a baby is the size of a bell pepper. Sort of interesting, right? (And, no, for the medical record, it does not matter if said pepper is red, green or yellow.) This is the first baby bump glimpse Jinger has given us since her fetus turned 15 weeks old, as you can see below: Jinger and husband Jeremy Vuolo announced they were expecting in early January . They did so via a very cute snapshot of the couple and a sign that said, appropriately, “We’re expecting.” In a follow-up statement to Us Weekly, the twosome – who got married in late 2016 – told the tabloid: “The past 14 months have been the best of our lives as we have had the wonderful privilege of beginning our journey through life together in marriage. “We both looked forward to the joys of marriage but neither one of us fully understood just how amazing the start of this journey would be.” Having barely even held hands prior to exchanging vows, Jinger and Jeremy eventually had the sort of sex that leads to a baby. “Truly, the Lord’s mercies are new every morning! Now, the journey has taken an exciting turn: We are expecting our first child!” they added in this statement, concluding at the time: “We are praising God for this beautiful gift and ask that you join us in praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy.” For the Duggar family, of course, waiting over a year after marriage to get pregnant is equivalent to a lifetime. (By comparison, for example, Joy-Anna Duggar got pregnant just three months after getting hitched.) As a result, some judgemental social media trolls have been shaming Jinger over her pregnancy , much to the chagrin of viewers who have followed this TLC personality since she was a young teenager. Thankfully, in response to this new snapshot, almost all comments have been positive and supportive. “You’re carrying high @jingervuolo! I bet it’s a girl!” predicted one excited follower. Added another: “Omg you got a belly as if you were having a girl.” Interesting, huh? Jinger is yet to confirm the gender of her baby. We’re guessing she doesn’t even know what it is herself. Catelynn Lowell has been back in rehab for about a month now — and good for her, right? If you’ve been keeping up with this whole sad story, you know that she’s currently on her second rehab stay in the past three months, and her third in the past two years. The first time she went to a treatment center, back in 2016, the issue was a pretty severe case of postpartum depression she’d been dealing with since giving birth to her daughter a year before. The second time was in November, when she checked into the same treatment center after admitting that she’d been struggling with some suicidal thoughts . She did check out early that time because she reportedly felt guilty at the prospect of being away from her little girl for the holidays. But thankfully, she quickly realized that her mental health was more important than Christmas, and also that she simply wasn’t ready to be home yet. So she went back, completed her six weeks of treatment, then went back home. Then just a few weeks later, Catelynn made the tough decision to go back again for another six weeks, this time to work through some of her childhood trauma. She also said she needed to get some issues with her medications sorted out. Unlike last time, she’s been silent on social media, which is definitely for the best. During her last stay, she was on Twitter a bit, even taking the time to make fun of Farrah Abraham, which didn’t seem like the best way for her to spend her time there. While it’s good that she’s focusing so hard on her issues, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t wondering about how she’s been doing. But don’t worry — Tyler’s got us covered! Last weekend, Tyler said that he and Nova would be away all week at Catelynn’s facility, doing family therapy together — or at least he would be involved with the therapy, it wasn’t clear what exactly Nova would be getting into. He predicted that it would be a tough week for everyone, and it’s easy to understand why. But no matter how tough things were, Tyler’s love for Catelynn is just as strong as ever. In one of his customary sappy, sweet Instagram posts, he shared this adorable photo of himself with Cate, and in the caption, he wrote that “Seeing this gorgeous woman & all the work she has done has given me such hope, a feeling of peace, and unconditional love that is hard to explain with words.” “It was a very emotionally intense Family Week Program, but I know that our love & commitment towards each other will persevere through anything this life throws our way.” “I’m so proud of you Babe,” he added, “and I can’t wait until you finally come home so I can just hug you & hold you for as long as I want.” “You are worthy…You are strong…You are beautiful…You are loved! Thank you for not giving up on your life.” He also threw in hashtags like “my babe,” “my wife,” and “soulmate,” just in case your heart wasn’t touched enough already. A little while later, Tyler shared a couple more photos, this time explaining that “Marriage & relationships aren’t always sunshine & rainbows.” “I believe love begins as a feeling, but evolves into a choice. A choice to sacrifice for that person, a choice of dedicated commitment to one another & understanding the selfless acts that are required from both to maintain serenity.” How darling is that? Cate shared one of the photos too, and she captioned hers “SO HAPPY I got to see you today!!! Until next time my love!” It’s not much to go on, but she does sound happy, and in the photos she actually looks pretty radiant. Earlier this week, Briana DeJesus traveled south to undergo a cosmetic procedure at the hands of dubiously named pracitioner Dr. Miami. Briana received plastic surgery from Dr. Miami before, and it seems she was satisfied with the results, as she appeared to be excited about her second appointment with the Floridian physician. She announced her plans to go back under the knife back in September, but she went radio silent on social media in the days leading up to the procedure. So she may have wanted to keep this second round of procedures a secret. Unfortunately, she got worked on for free by Dr. Miami, which means she had to agree to allow him to share before and after photos on social media. Many of the images are highly graphic, and we’re doing you a favor by not posting the most intense ones here. (You really can’t unsee some of this stuff.) As you can see, Bri underwent a serious reshaping, and she’s likely in a lot of pain at the moment. For starters, Briana’s rival Kailyn Lowry canceled her own Dr. Miami session after having a last-second change of heart. On top of that, Bri’s recent Snapchat posts seem to indicate that she’s already back together with Javi Marroquin after the two of them broke up just last month. Javi joined Briana on her trip to Miami, and it seems he was by her side right up until she went in for surgery. They haven’t made their reconciliation official, but that doesn’t seem like the sort of trip a casual friend would make. Earlier this week, Teen Mom OG star Maci Bookout was accused of lying to fans of the show in order to create a more dramatic storyline for herself for the show’s current season. Eagle-eyed viewers claimed that the custody battle between Maci and Ryan Edwards had been faked for the cameras, and the exes had actually reached an amicable co-parenting arrangement. Now, new evidence has emerged indicating that Ryan and Maci have, in fact, been sharing custody of their son Bentley for several months, all the while pretending to be at one another’s throats over the question of who will raise the boy. According to the show, the timeline of Ryan and Maci’s custody battle goes something like this: Back in June Ryan checked into rehab immediately after marrying Mackenzie Standifer. He left treatment three weeks later, and immediately attacked Maci on social media with a vulgar meme. Thus began one of the ugliest fights for custody in the illustrious history of the Teen Mom franchise. Or so viewers have been led to believe… The above image was posted in a Teen Mom message board on Reddit earlier this week. The poster claims it offers conclusive evidence that Ryan and Maci are lying about the severity of their feud. On the show, Maci and Bentley visited Ryan on Father’s Day at his parents’ house. Ryan and Maci got into a fight; she left, and he supposedly didn’t see Bentley for several months afterward. “Maci’s storyline this season is total BS,” the viewer wrote on Reddit. “Go figure lol. Here are some pictures with dates proving that Bentley has been able to see his dad and grandparents regularly since July. Tomorrow’s episode takes place at the end of October where Ryan supposedly hasn’t seen him since Father’s Day.” Yes, it does seem that either Ryan is posting old photos of himself with Bentley, or he’s lying about going several months without seeing his son. The same viewer claimed that changes were made to Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s storyline in post-production. Meanwhile, Maci has moved on to a dramatic storyline. On a recent episode of the show Bookout revealed that she suffered a miscarriage , and thus, has concerns about getting pregnant again. The Teen Mom OG star has reportedly sought guidance from rehab, but fans are now for the first time seeing her joy upon learning that she’s pregnant on the show itself. Quite the contrast from her current grim reality. A new report reveals how Catelynn is coping … and that MTV’s crew has been instructed to walk on eggshells around her in this trying time. On the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG , Catelynn Lowell revealed that she was pregnant. She shared the news with Tyler Baltierra by putting Nova in a shirt that read “I’m going to be a big sister!” Kind of a weird way for Tyler to find out what was, at the time, good news. But a cute reveal nonetheless. Unfortunately, we already know that Catelynn Lowell suffered a miscarriage. That’s one of the pitfalls of reality television being filmed months in advance — you see sad life events coming in the distance like an oncoming train, but you can’t get off of the tracks. Catelynn has reportedly not taken this well. Everyone grieves differently. Everyone processes negative emotions differently. And no two people have the exact same response to the very personal tragedy of a miscarriage. Considering the childhood trauma that Catelynn has endured, it’s very understandable that she faces additional challenges when it comes to grief and loss. Grappling with suicidal thoughts, Catelynn Lowell checked herself into rehab for her own safety and well-being. Or so we imagine. “Obviously Catelynn is having a very hard time coping right now so the priority is just getting her stable again.” Absolutely. We all want to know, but Catelynn’s health and well-being come first. Still, the source ends on a positive note. “It’s a dark time, but she’s a fighter and she’ll make it through.” Considering all that Catelynn has already been through, we’re inclined to agree. Tyler Baltierra would like your attention. Does he have it? Because the Teen Mom OG star has something he would like to say. And that something is this: He is not, in any way, shape or form, a cheater. The steady boyfriend of Catelynn Lowell was forced to come to his own defense on Saturday after being alerted to a blind istem on some website called Crazy Days And Nights. The item was shared a day earlier and read as follows: This Teen Mom star has been cheating on his significant other for almost a year. Eventually, when she starts having a clear head she is going to catch on and that could finally push her over the edge to suicide. Because Lowell has been checking herself in and out of rehab over the past couple months due to a bit of mental instability, it was rather easy for readers to connect these dots. This post is clearly implying that Tyler has been disloyal to Catelynn. “Is this a joke or?!??! It’s kinda hard to tell these days,” Tyler initially Tweeted in response. However, after other fans told Baltierra that the same website lobbed the same allegation his way last August, Tyler shot back far more forcefully. “Okay, so yes, I should just ignore this & yes, since I know it’s not true I shouldn’t be paying attention to it,” he Tweeted, adding: “BUT I’m a very stubborn individual & have always got a thrill from seeking out justice & facts. SO, Mr. @entylawyer here I am calling you out! “Let’s see evidence.” “Enty Lawyer” actually replied pretty quickly to this challenge, writing online: “I haven’t revealed anything about you in quite some time. You seem defensive though. Anything you care to share?” This account also looped in Farrah Abraham and Simon Saran, Baltierra and Lowell’s Teen Mom costars. Shot back Tyler, quoting the website’s earlier blind item from last summer: “So what is this then? A “blind item” revealed? Are you saying your sources are Farrah & Simon? Good lord help us all! It’s sounding more & more crazy, the more you talk. “So please keep going…indulge me.” The 26-year old added that he had nothing to fear… … and wasn’t going to let his good name be sullied. “A panicked person would keep their mouth shut & hope this all slides under the radar. “Not me, I’m marching in & calling it all out! Because I have NOTHING to hide nor worry about.” Baltierra has been trying to keep busy while his wife remains in treatment, posting footage on Snapchat this morning that featured him renovating the couple’s home, including putting in a luxurious master suite. Despite rumors to the contrary , he insists he is not leaving Catelynn. And it looks like Simon Saran is intent on helping Tyler keep busy, considering the trash he’s talking on social media. “Are you for real with all that!? Coming from the dude that sleeps with Farrah & actually allowed that info to be filmed & aired for the world to see!?” Tyler wrote to his nemesis today, adding: “God you really have lost your touch with your insults. I’m gonna need a little more from you Simon. Try again.” Simon’s reply? “Much rather sleep with her than what you have to sleep with. Trust me.” Why do we have a feeling we have not heard the last from these two? And why does that make us giddy and gleeful to see what’s next?
