Bus Driver Fired After Slamming 15-Year-Old Against Bus And Threatening To “Shoot Up His House And Kill His Daddy” For Using The N-Word [Video]

This dude needs to have R.Kelly produce a remix for him called “ When A Brother’s Fed Up .” He might want to hire his lawyer too! Witnesses say a school bus driver grabbed a middle school student by his neck and threw him against the window after hearing the student repeatedly use the ‘n-word,’ despite having asked him to stop. Terris Devon Richard, 35, of Charlotte South Carolina was charged with third-degree assault and battery to the 15-year-old boy who said the driver made additional threats against him and his father’s life. Richard, who is black, tells WCSC-TV that he knows what he did was wrong but was upset after reporting the student’s language weeks earlier, and nothing being done about it. The boy who is white said there had been an ‘ongoing incident’ between the driver and him, according to the police report. Reached on the phone by CBS Charlotte, Richard declined comment saying, ‘I don’t want to talk about it … I haven’t been to court yet. I’m hanging up now.’ A deputy responding to the school on October 27th found one of two boys crying on a school bus parked outside with a red neck and stretched-out t-shirt. A witnesses told the deputy that the driver ‘slammed on brakes’ and warned he’d ‘shoot up [the boy’s] house and kill his daddy’ as well as ‘drag the victim to school by his neck until he breaks his windpipe.’ The brother of the boy, according to the police report, said his brother had greeted a friend saying, ‘what up, my [N-word]?’ despite being asked not to by the driver. His brother asked the driver to explain to him why he took offense to him saying the word. According to the report, the bus driver did not drop the boy at his home but took him and his brother back to their school. Witnesses said that a school employee was also on the bus at the time of the alleged assault. Commenting Tuesday, the school’s principal, Scott Matthews told WCBD-TV, ‘It’s an unfortunate incident, it’s an incident that I don’t think anybody likes to happen,’ he said. ‘That’s why we need to take the time and make sure that we accurately investigate so that we… make sure that we get this right.’ The report said charges were brought after deputies reviewed a bus surveillance video. The driver has since been fired by the school. Would we be remiss to point out that South Carolina continues to be one of the most NOTORIOUSLY racist locales in this great nation of ours. Clearly Terris just reached his tipping point. On the real though, it’s never cool to put your hands on another person, even if a soft as newborn poo slur spitting baby racist. Source More On Bossip! The New England Patriots Cut Fat Albert Haynesworth…Is OchoCinco Next?!

Patriots are cleaning house. Maybe Ocho will need some of Evelyn’s book money after all. After years of overweight underperforming, Albert Haynesworth has finally been dropped by the New England Patriots. The experiment to rejuvenate his career and somehow get the Pats defense on the right track has come to an end. But his underperforming and bad play finally cost him his last chance to play in the NFL. Here’s what the Patriots’ coach said: “I’ll just say this on the Albert situation: I thought that both he and myself — speaking for the (coaching) staff — we really tried to make it work,” Belichick said. “He had a few physical limitations to overcome when he got here, but I thought he really tried to do what we asked him to do. We tried to work with him. In the end, it just didn’t work out. I think the best thing we could do was just move on.” But here’s the most important nugget: is OchoCinco next? The Patriots dropped Randy Moss last year out of nowhere and Chad has played like garbage this year. And not catching a single pass on Sunday will only make matters worse. Is OchoCinco on the chopping block? Sound off! More On Bossip! Shhhh! Embarrassing Secrets That Damn Near Ruined These People’s Careers And Lives! R.I.P. R.E.M. And Nirvana: The Kurt Cobain/Michael Stipe Connection

Bands’ intensely private singers had a unique relationship. By Gil Kaufman Kurt Cobain and Michael Stipe Photo: Getty Images Tony Bennett has been making the rounds this week promoting his new Duets II album and talking about how he wanted to save late singing partner Amy Winehouse by telling her to slow down, to take it from someone who’d already been there and had gotten the same advice from his idol, Frank Sinatra. That kind of been-through-the-fire mentoring is a time-honored tradition in the music world, one that came to mind again on Wednesday when long-running alt rock godheads R.E.M. announced they were packing it in after 31 years in the midst of the 20th anniversary celebration of Nirvana ‘s groundbreaking Nevermind album. You see, enigmatic R.E.M. singer Michael Stipe had been through the superstar crucible. The intensely private frontman who spent a good early portion of the band’s career mumbling his cryptic lyrics while hiding behind a scraggly veil of wavy hair knew all about the pressures of fame by the time Nirvana were having their world-exploding “Smells Like Teen Spirit” moment. One thing ends as the dawn of another is celebrated. It’s a rock circle of life that was clearly not planned, but has a very nice, round arc to it. It connects these two bands yet again, providing another reminder that it was because of the hard work of acts like R.E.M. that Nirvana was able to blast out of the Northwest and take on the world. The coincidental chapters also recalled the fact that Stipe had gone from indie darling to worldwide rock star just months before Nevermind hit in late 1991 thanks to the breakout success of “Losing My Religion,” the first single from R.E.M.’s seventh album, Out of Time. In the ensuing years, the two men would carry on a kind of public mutual-admiration society, as Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain went to great lengths to praise R.E.M.’s influence on his own band. And critics couldn’t help but notice how, like R.E.M., Nirvana had managed the tricky tightrope walk of retaining their indie edge while signing to a major label and making polished, pop-influenced music with gritty bite and uncompromising lyrical flavor. Stipe seemed to gladly take on the role of mentor, perhaps seeing in Cobain’s adoration tinges of the same relationship he had with his idol, punk godmother Patti Smith, whose influence Stipe praised publicly at every turn. “I don’t know how that band [R.E.M.] does what they do,” Cobain said in a 1994 Rolling Stone magazine interview. “God, they’re the greatest. They’ve dealt with their success like saints, and they keep delivering great music.” By 1994, Stipe, like many in Nirvana’s inner circle of friends and management, had grown concerned about Cobain’s dangerous drug spiral. In an attempt to try and bring Cobain back from the abyss, Stipe — the godfather of Cobain and wife Courtney Love’s only child, Frances Bean — planned a collaboration with the doomed grunge singer. “I was doing that to try to save his life. The collaboration was me calling up as an excuse to reach out to this guy. He was in a really bad place,” Stipe told Interview magazine earlier this year. “I constructed a project to try to snap Kurt out of a frame of mind. I sent him a plane ticket and a driver, and he tacked the plane ticket to the wall in the bedroom and the driver sat outside the house for 10 hours. Kurt wouldn’t come out and wouldn’t answer the phone.” The superstar hookup never happened and — like Neil Young, Smith and numerous others — Stipe was inspired to write a musical eulogy for Cobain, the moving 1994 song “Let Me In,” from the album Monster. Fittingly, that disc found R.E.M. adopting a grungier, harder-edge, distorted sound that went the opposite direction of their two more sedate, previous mainstream breakthrough efforts. Once again, the celebration of a beginning and a sad ending that can forever link these two legendary acts. Stipe grew gracefully into the role of alt-rock elder statesman, enduring the rigors of stardom with wit and confidence. “A wise man once said–‘the skill in attending a party is knowing when it’s time to leave,’ ” he wrote in a statement announcing the band’s end. “We built something extraordinary together. We did this thing. And now we’re going to walk away from it.” Cobain, on the other hand, was swallowed up by the machine, prematurely putting an end to his story and walking away from the party way too early. Maybe if he’d had that sit-down session with Stipe he might have managed the dream he shared with us in a 1993 interview. “I wanted to have the adoration of John Lennon but have the anonymity of Ringo Starr,” Cobain told MTV News . I didn’t want to be a frontman. I just wanted to be back there and still be a rock and roll star at the same time.” Stick with MTV News all week as we reveal the Nevermind You Never Knew , celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s definitive album with classic footage, new interviews and much more. Mindless Behavior Predict Big Things For #1 Girl

After touring with Justin Bieber and Janet Jackson, the MB boys finally drop their debut album. By Tami Katzoff Mindless Behavior Photo: MTV News After three years of preparation in the studio and on the road ( with the likes of Justin Bieber and Janet Jackson), the young men of Mindless Behavior are finally able to share the result of their efforts: their debut album, #1 Girl. Taking a quick break from an album signing session at Basement Mix Records in Brooklyn, teens Prodigy, Princeton, Ray Ray and Roc Royal talked to MTV News about everything that’s led up to this moment. “It’s all come down to this day,” Princeton said of their Tuesday release-day. “Last night we stayed up until 12 o’clock. And we were in our hotel room all together, and we got back at like 11:40 so we had 20 minutes, and we just waited. And we didn’t say one word until it turned 12 o’clock.” Once it was officially September 20, the celebration began. “We just started to scream and jump up and down,” Princeton recalled. It was a crazy night, added Roc Royal — “the most exciting night of our lives.” To put together #1 Girl the R&B/pop group enlisted the talents of several top producers, including Polow Da Don, Boi-1da and JukeBox. And if the members of Mindless Behavior are excited about it, their fans are positively giddy. “We’ll never get used to it,” Ray Ray said about the throngs of teen and pre-teen girls that greet MB at every appearance. “It’s always different. First time they’re just screaming. Next time they’re biting Princeton, third time they’re pulling my hair.” Some of those fans can be seen as extras in Mindless Behavior’s latest music video, “Mrs. Right” — directed by “Tower Heist” helmer Brett Ratner. Princeton explained how their partnership with the Hollywood heavyweight came to be. “After the Kids’ Choice Awards, we went to his house. We ate dinner and hung out with him, and within the next month he was like, ‘I want to direct your next video.’ ” The boys predict more big things in their future. After they return from the Scream Tour (with Diggy Simmons, the New Boyz and others) this fall, there’s going to be “more albums, more fans and more shows,” Princeton said. Their list of dream collaborators includes Drake, Kanye West, Nikki Minaj, Rihanna and Jay-Z. And then, according to Prodigy, the Grammys will come … as well as “every award you can think of.” Related Artists Mindless Behavior
