Ryan Edwards: Teen Mom OG Star Checks into Rehab!

For the past year, at least, Ryan Edwards has been … well, he’s not been right. He hasn’t been acting like that sassy jackass we knew from the early days of Teen Mom, and honestly, he’s looked high as a kite in recent seasons of the show. And that’s because, as it turns out, he was high as a kits. In one episode last month, Maci Bookout was seen reacting strongly to a text she’d received about Ryan, explaining that “I got some information about Ryan and certain things he’s doing and stuff that aren’t very good at all.” She didn’t want to go into details, but she did say that it was “really scary stuff,” and that she had to get his parents on board to get him “healthy and happy and back to normal.” Then, in last Monday’s episode, the subject of Ryan came up again while the moms were on vacation in Puerto Rico. Amber Portwood told Maci that she could tell that he’s been “f-cked up” lately just by looking at him, and Maci didn’t argue. Catelynn Lowell asked her if he’d consider going to a treatment center, and she said that he would, but everyone else in his life has been in denial about his issue. Through tears, she told them “What I’m saying is that everyone else around him is too afraid of what it will look like more than his health … it’s all denial.” “They all know.” Later, she told her husband, Taylor McKinney, that she was just going to tell Ryan that he needed to go to rehab. “Right now is legitimately about saving his life,” she said. “Most nights I’m crying in our bed talking to you about whether or not today is the day that he’s going to die or when I’m going to do something about it or how I should do something about it.” Well, hopefully Maci can be done worrying about it all now. Because Ryan is finally in rehab! E! News reported that “multiple sources” have confirmed that he’s getting help for his issues, and that he’s been in rehab for two weeks now. He’s said to be “doing well,” but there’s no further information at this time. There’s also no word on exactly what substance he’s been struggling with. Here’s hoping that Ryan can get the help he needs during this time, and that he can return to his life healthy and happy. What a sad, sad story. View Slideshow: 25 Celebrities Who Have Been to Rehab

Khloe Kardashian: My Friends Are SNAKES and THIEVES!

Subtweeting is usually about someone having bad manners or letting someone know that you know. It isn’t usually about crime . But Khloe Kardashian shot out some tweets about a friend stealing from her … and is straight-up asking if she should go to the police. “What would you do if you found out a friend was stealing from you?” That was her tweet, seemingly out of nowhere, on Thursday. But that wasn’t the end of what she had to say. “Would you cut off the friendship and let God handle it? Or would you go the legal route?” That was her second tweet, a clear follow-up to the first. We know that the Kardashians subscribe to a very specific sort of Christianity, and we can respect that as much as we can respect anything about the Kardashians, but simply cutting off a friendship won’t stop them from stealing from the next person, you know? She did clarify that she did not mean her friend, actress  Malika Haqq , who had been named in some of the response tweets. “No, guys! Malika is my sister! Never ever ever! We ride for life.” “Way TOO many shady people in the world. The grass is cut LOW. I see a few snakes.” It’s a little unclear if that last one is talking more about the unnamed, “hypothetical” thief … or the responses that she was getting on Twitter. Maybe both. You know, if pregnancy rumors about Khloe and Tristan Thompson are true, this could be the hormones talking. But maybe not. The strangest part of all of that is the bit about going to the police, right? For most of us, Twitter is a great way to keep up with friends in real time, follow the news, have occasional brushes with celebrities, and make what we will of the occasional  covfefe . But for Khloe, it’s apparently a place to ask for legal advice. But we think that we know what was going on there, and she wasn’t really asking for advice. Because anyone who might have actually been stealing from her would probably want to stop at that point. Being caught is scary enough, but police involvement would be so much work. Hell, they might even break off the friendship themselves out of fear that Khloe would turn them in. The true purpose of subtweeting isn’t to share your situation with others, it’s to have your tweets read by their unnamed subject. Khloe was sending a clear message. If we hear that she’s called the cops on somebody, we’ll know for sure that it wasn’t received. View Slideshow: Khloe Kardashian Gym Selfies

Brad Pitt Takes Chris Cornell’s Kids to Universal Studios, Gives Us All the Feels

Folks, no matter where you fall on the political spectrum, we think it’s safe to say it’s been a bit of a tumultuous year. Sure, 2017 hasn’t hit quite as hard as 2016 in terms of untimely celebrity deaths , but as we approach the halfway mark, there’s no question that some of the bonafide greats have shuffled off this mortal coil. Just two weeks ago, for example, the music world was shocked by the death of Chris Cornell , the iconic Soundgarden and Audioslave singer who passed at just 52 years of age. Cornell had many famous friends, and he’s been widely mourned both in Hollywood and in the Seattle music scene that he helped to create. Among the most recognizable of the late legend’s A-list buddies is Brad Pitt. Pitt was said to be devastated by Cornell’s death , and sources say he sank into deep depression upon hearing the news. Word of Cornell’s passing reportedly reached Pitt within 48 hours of the death of Brad Grey , one of Pitt’s oldest friends and longtime business partner. As you probably know, it had been a rocky few months for the newly single (and newly sober) screen icon, and losing two close friends back-to-back could have easily pushed Brad into a dangerous downward spiral. But it seems Pitt’s a stronger believer that sometimes, the best way to help yourself is to reach out and help someone else: That’s Brad with Cornell’s two youngest children, 12-year-old Toni and 11-year-old Christopher, at the Universal Studios theme park in LA. The trio reportedly hit up the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where they were spotted sipping on Butter Beers. (Unlike the beverages served up at the Three Broomsticks, Universal’s Butter Beer is entirely N/A.) Little is known about Brad and the kids’ visit to the park, but we imagine Pitt simply wanted to do something nice for some kids who recently lost their dad. It’s not gonna bring Chris back, or solve any of the world’s major problems, but the gesture no doubt made a tremendous difference two young people going through a difficult time. Let’s all take a moment to reflect on the impact that a single kind gesture can have in the confusing and chaotic universe we all inhabit. Okay, cool. Now that that’s over, you can get back to flaming each other on Twitter. View Slideshow: Chris Cornell: Mourned, Remembered by Stars Everywhere

Joseph Duggar: SLAMMED for Proposing on Joy-Anna’s Wedding Day!

Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth yesterday in, from what we’ve heard so far, was an absolutely lovely ceremony . So lovely, in fact, that her big brother Joseph was moved to propose to his girlfriend , Kendra Caldwell, right then and there. What a beautiful turn of events, right? As they explained in a new interview, “We are super excited. It’s great not to be courting anymore, now we’re engaged!” Kendra said that she is “so happy and so shocked. There’s so many words I want to say, but just shocked.” Joseph added that “I was definitely nervous going into it, but I wasn’t afraid that she wasn’t afraid she was going to say no, because she has said, ‘ I’m just waiting on you! ‘” And what better time to propose than at your little sister’s wedding?! Just think: your whole family is already there, everyone’s already dressed up. There are beautiful decorations just waiting to be taken advantage of, and love is undoubtedly in the air. But, if you can even believe it, there are some people who think it wasn’t right for Joseph to propose on Joy-Anna’s wedding day. There are actually many, many people who share that sentiment. When the Duggars shared the news of the engagement on their official Facebook page, comments flooded in about how rude and disrespectful it is to propose during a wedding. Even though Joseph reportedly received permission from Joy-Anna and Austin before proposing, fans were still bothered. “They could have literally done it any other day,” one person wrote, “eve”n any other hour of the day. They will stop at nothing to stay relevant. Gross.” Another person wrote “That is ridiculously rude. Not just to the bride and groom, but to his fiance as well. She should get a super planned day of her own. I mean a marriage, proposal, and all on grandma’s birthday.” Others commented with things like “Way to take the attention away from the bride and groom” and “Talk about stealing the bride’s moments …” One particularly sad comment read “With 19 siblings, I’m sure deep down inside Joy wanted one day that was all hers. She probably said that her brother could propose at her reception just to be nice.” “Joseph should have known better. I hope someone takes the spotlight off him at his wedding.” So was Joseph in the wrong for using his sister’s special day for his own proposal? Or do you think Joy-Anna and her brand new husband were happy to share the love? Or perhaps you’re just overwhelmed by the amount of Duggars currently courting, marrying, and reproducing . Anything’s possible. View Slideshow: 23 Biggest Duggar Family Scandals: How Low Can They Go?!

Gregg Allman Dies; Rock Legend Was 69

Gregg Allman, the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known as the longtime frontman of The Allman Brothers Band, has passed away at the age of 69. Sources close to his family say Allman died peacefully at his home in Savannah. No cause of death was given, but a statement on his official website notes that Allman had been battling a number of serious ailments in recent years. “Gregg struggled with many health issues over the past several years,” the statement reads. “During that time, Gregg considered being on the road playing music with his brothers and solo band for his beloved fans, essential medicine for his soul. Playing music lifted him up and kept him going during the toughest of times.” Gregg formed the Allman brothers band with his brother, Duane Allman, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in 1971 at the age of 24. Together, the brothers penned such Southern rock classics as “Midnight Rider,” “Whipping Post,” and “Melissa.” For many, the band’s distinct blend of bluesy roots rock and jam band psychedelia became one of the defining sounds of the late ’60s and early ’70s. Musically active until his final days, Allman’s influence as a singer, songwriter, and paragon of counterculture cool cannot be overstated. At the height of his fame, Allman was almost as well-known for his hedonistic lifestyle and high-profile romances as for his trailblazing music. Stories of Allman’s hard-partying ways contributed to his status as a living legend, but never eclipsed his music. (Asked by Stephen Colbert if the story of a private flight crew spelling out “Welcome, Allman Brothers Band” in cocaine was true, Gregg replied, “They abbreviated ‘Brothers.'”) Allman was married and divorced six times and became a tabloid staple during his highly-publicized split from music icon Cher in 1975. Within minutes of the news of his death, Allman’s name became the number one trending topic on Twitter, with tributes pouring in from family, friends, and a legion of devoted friend. “Words are impossible,” tweeted a clearly grief-stricken Cher. “I have lost a dear friend and the world has lost a brilliant pioneer in music,” wrote Allman’s friend and longtime manager, Michael Lehman.  “He was a kind and gentle soul with the best laugh I ever heard. His love for his family and bandmates was passionate as was the love he had for his extraordinary fans. Gregg was an incredible partner and an even better friend. We will all miss him.” Allman is survived by five children, including musicians Devon and Elijah Blue. We send our heartfelt condolences to those close to this iconic musician. May he rest in peace. Jenelle Evans: Putting Her Own Happiness Ahead of Her Son?

It hasn’t been the best week for Jenelle Evans. In fact, we’d wager that she hasn’t looked this bad in quite some time. First off, she lost her custody battle for her oldest son, Jace — or, well, she didn’t so much lose it as she did agree to stop pursuing it. On Wednesday, and and her mother, Barbara Evans, had mediation in which they both agreed to a new visitation agreement. Barbara would maintain full custody of Jace, as she has for nearly eight years now, and Jenelle would get him every other weekend, for a couple of weeks during the summer, and for certain holidays. There were also several rules put in place to protect Jace: no one could use drugs or drink excessively around him, they’re required to be respectful of each other around him. It’s a pretty nice setup, but the niceness didn’t last for long. On Friday, Jenelle  went on an epic Twitter rant , bashing poor Barbara and threatening to write a tell-all to reveal her deepest, darkest secrets. She also claimed that she had a plan and a reason for not pursuing custody of Jace. Then, a little later, a video mysteriously surfaced that showed Jenelle and her boyfriend, David Eason, accusing Barbara of drinking and driving with Jace, along with some other kids, in the car. Was that part of her plan? It sure seemed like it. Barbara didn’t seem drunk at all, and Jenelle and David were mercilessly taunting her. If anything, the video made them look bad, not her. But hey, drinking and driving might sway a judge’s opinion on who should have custody, right? It’s a mess, that’s for sure. And in this new interview Barbara did with Us Weekly, it seems like she’s fully aware. To start, Babs felt the need to defend herself by saying “I just want people to know that I’m not trying to keep Jace away from my daughter.” “I have to protect him from certain situations. I don’t hate my daughter,” she insisted. “All of this was because I love Jace. Jace has a great life at my house: he’s going to school — he finishes in a couple weeks — he has friends now, he’s in Boy Scouts and he’s going to summer camp!” It sounds like the kid really does have a great life — and it’s not a stretch to think that Jenelle might not be as good about keeping up his extracurricular activities. “I think that in the end, our whole family will be very happy,” Barbara continued. “My main concern was that my daughter and I would have a very drawn out court battle, and luckily that was not the case.” “I love her and don’t want to fight with her in a courtroom! It actually went much more smoothly than I could have hoped.” Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about her relationship with her daughter, which she said is “very, very strained right now, as it usually is.” “She hates me. I think as time goes on, it will get better between us. I have to believe that because she’s my daughter.” Barbara represented us all when she added “I’m not sure why Jenelle doesn’t see that I have the best home to raise Jace in.” “I do not think Jenelle is putting Jace’s well-being before her happiness. Of course she wants Jace to live with her, but she isn’t thinking that my house may be a better place, especially while she’s with David.” Remember, Barb has said that David is Jenelle’s worst boyfriend ever — which is really saying something. Jenelle’s dated guys that have introduced her to heroin, guys who have physically abused her, guys that are named Nathan Griffith. If David is the worst … does Barbara have room at her house for Kaiser and Ensley, too? In closing, we remain, now and forever, #TeamBabs. View Slideshow: Barbara Evans: A Tribute to Jenelle’s Mahhh

Jared Martin Dies; Former Dallas Star Was 75

Jared Martin, a veteran actor likely best known for his role as Steven “Dusty” Farlow on the beloved series Dallas , died on Wednesday night from pancreatic cancer. He was 75 years old. Martin’s son, Christian, has confirmed the sad news via Twitter and also to The Hollywood Reporter, telling the publication that his father passed away at home in Philadelphia. Farlow was a rodeo cowboy who seduced main character on the aforementioned drama, He actually perished in a plane crash… only to have producers resurrect his character by popular demand shortly afterward. As for the actor himself? Martin was born in Manhattan and attended Columbia University where he roomed future filmmaker Brian De Palma, who cast his pal in his 1968 film Murder à la Mod. “I played a mad photographer-murderer who liked to lick the blood off his victims’ bodies,” Martin told People Magazine way back in 1981, adding: “Brian used Hershey syrup for blood and paid me $35.” Martin’s impressive resume also included starring roles on two sci-fi TV shows: 1977’s The Fantastic Journey at NBC and a 1988-1990 adaptation of War of the Worlds, which aired in syndication. He signed on for just three episodes of Dallas Season 3 in 1979 as Dusty. But he became such a fan favorite that producers had no choice but to keep him around for longer than initially planned. “They brought Dusty Farlow on to make goo-goo eyes at Sue Ellen [Linda Gray], become moderately involved with her, tempt her and then she basically remembered who she was and went back to J.R. [Larry Hagman],” Martin said a few years ago in an interview for a Dallas fan site. The character was killed off in a plane crash to conclude Martin’s initial stint on the series. However… After J.R. Ewing was shot by an unseen assailant in what many consider to be the most buzzworthy season finale in TV history, viewer polls and Las Vegas oddsmakers made Dusty a favorite to be the answer to the question on literally everyone’s minds: “Who shot J.R.?” For this reason, the series brought Dusty back from the dead. “My agent said, ‘Get ready, they are going to bring you back,'” Martin said in the past, explaining: “I said, ‘How? I’m dead.’ My agent says, “Oh, this is Hollywood, they will think of something.'” HA! That remains the case today, really. Dusty would make an amazing recovery and even return to the rodeo circuit. Upon his retirement from acting, Martin co-founded and served as the creative director for the non-profit Big Picture Alliance, which brought the world of filmmaking to inner-city kids. He also spent his time as a painter and photographer after his acting days were over. Martin is survived by Christian, wife Yu Wei, and grandchildren. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam We send our condolences to the family members and loved ones of Jared Martin, as well as to those close to every celebrity who has passed away this year. May they rest in peace.
