Josh Duggar: Did He Even Cheat on Anna?

It’s hard to believe that a little over two years ago, Josh Duggar was just another grinning, innocuous member of the massive 19 Kids and Counting brood. Sure, as the eldest of the lot and a semi-successful lobbyist, Josh stood apart in some respects, but to the casual reality TV fan, he was of interest only due to the staggering number of people who share his DNA. These days of course, Josh is no longer an anonymous face in the Duggar crowd, but not because he distinguished himself through hard work and achievement. Quite the opposite. As a result of the Josh Duggar sex scandals that first came to light in May of 2015, Josh’s name is now mentioned alongside the likes of Jared Fogle or Bill Cosby. He’s become infamous as the worst kind of predator, and with good reason. First, the world learned that when he was in his teens, Josh molested five young girls , four of whom were his sisters. (It was later revealed that Josh’s parents failed to report him to the authorities, instead opting to “deal with” the matter in-house.) Shortly thereafter, the affair-facilitating website Ashley Madison was hacked, and Josh’s name was included on the list of clients. So we know that for a long time Josh tried to cheat on Anna Duggar. In fact, he really gave it his all. Josh had not one, but two paid Ashley Madison accounts, and he even used other people’s photos on his profile as part of his effort to lure in potential cheating partners. ( Josh is currently being sued  by a Los Angeles-based DJ whose photos he used. The man claims his involvement in the scandal irreparably damaged his career.) Unlike the molestation scandal, the cheating ordeal had actual, real-world fallout for Josh, whose family forced him into a six month sex addiction rehab program . But now that the dust has settled, we can’t help but wonder – did Josh ever actually cheat in Anna? Was he somehow able to find a willing partner online? We have our doubts. Now, mind you, we’re in no way defending Josh’s character. In fact, the man very clearly has no character to defend. But we are having difficulty imagining that there are women using Ashley Madison (a tough image to conjure on its own), and that those women saw Josh’s profile, became intrigued, offered to meet up, and then were totally cool with finding out they’d been catfished. Now, it’s possible that Josh relied on sex workers for his infidelity, but that seems unlikely for several reasons. For starters, Josh has lived in places – rural Arkansas and (very briefly) Washington, D.C. In the former, we imagine there are very few brothels. The latter is positively teeming with prostitutes, but 1. Josh was only there for a month, and 2. he was a high-profile employee of a conservative lobbyist organization. Pulling off any sort of illicit sex would’ve required a level of stealth that we simply don’t believe Josh is capable of. Not to mention the fact that at this point, any sex workers hired by Josh would’ve probably sold their stories to the tabloid media. A woman named Danica Dillon claimed that she met Josh while she was working as a stripper and that he paid her for sex on multiple occasions, but her claims didn’t hold out in court. She later retracted her version of events on social media, confessing that while she did meet Josh, they never actually engaged in intercourse. Again, we have no interest in defending Josh, only in pointing out the absurdity of his situation: Despite his fame and his constant efforts to cheat on his wife, it looks like he was consistently unable to do so. Josh is worse than a cheater: He’s a wannabe cheater, a failed cheater. So if you’re the one person on the planet who’s still holding on to a shred of respect for this creep, we suggest you go ahead and toss that out the window. Hillary Clinton Commencement Speech: Was She Trolling Trump?

Well, it's graduation time, which means there's a good chance you'll soon be forced to cut a check to a nephew you haven't seen in three years and/or make an appearance at a booze-free party that's attended mostly by snapchatting teens. But there are good things about this time of year, too: Primarily, the fact that you get to see various celebrities do a little cap-and-gown standup routine without actually racking up a lifetime worth of debt yourself. Today, graduates at Wellesley College got the super-, mega-A-list treatment courtesy of former Secretary of State and noted popular vote winner Hillary Clinton, who gave her third commencement speech at the Massachusetts liberal arts school. (Her first was as a graduate in 1969.) Clinton did not announce that she's running for mayor of New York City (looking more and more like a few media outlets got a bad tip on that one), but she did make headlines doing what so many of us have been doing for the past four months: Taking dead aim at the low-hanging fruit that is the Trump administration. After reminding those in attendance that they're “graduating at a time when there’s a full-fledged assault on truth and reason” Clinton really went in: “When people in power invent their own facts and attack those who question them, it can mark the beginning of the end of a free society,” she said at one point. “That is not hyperbole, it is what authoritarian regimes throughout history have done. … They attempt to control reality.” In case that was too subtle, she also had this to say: “People [are] denying science, concocting elaborate, hurtful conspiracy theories about child-abuse rings operating out of pizza parlors, drumming up rampant fear about undocumented immigrants, Muslims, minorities, the poor, turning neighbor against neighbor and sowing division at a time when we desperately need unity. “Some are even denying things we see with our own eyes, like the size of crowds, and then defending themselves by talking about quote-unquote ' alternative facts .'” Yeah, it was basically the climactic battle rap scene in 8 Mile disguised as a commencement speech. Watch some highlights in the clip below:

This Random Dude Has Slept with All These Celebrities

It's time to meet Rob. Average Rob, actually, which is what this random guy goes by on Instagram . On this social media platform, Average Rob describes himself as just a “mediocre dude from Belgium,” but he’s clearly being modest. Why? Because Rob has slept with nearly every A-List celebrity in Hollywood, from famous singers to models to actresses and more. How has he pulled this off? Photoshop, some might say. But we'll let Rob's Instagram pictures speak for themselves… 1. Taylor Swift Rob was able to sleep with Swift on a park bench. We didn’t know she liked it in public! 2. Barack Obama GASP! It’s a good thing this relationship wasn’t exposed while Obama was in office! 3. David Beckham Rob is open to either men or women. And it helps when the men look like Beckham. 4. Eminem AWWW! The rapper cuddled afterward. Sort of. 5. Mila Kunis Silly Mila. It seems just like her to have a bit of fun post-coitus, don’t you agree? 6. Margot Robbie He apparently did it (many) doggie style with this gorgeous actress. Nice! View Slideshow

Tanya Callau: Alan Thicke’s Sons Want to Turn His Home into a Pot Farm!

Poor Alan Thicke must be rolling in his grave right now. Just months after his tragic, unexpected death , his family is getting into what’s surely going to be a nasty battle over his fortune. He worked so hard for decades, and for this? What a shame. To recap the situation, Alan’s oldest sons, Brennan and Robin, filed a petition earlier this week , claiming that Alan’s widow, Tanya Callau, is trying to get more money than what was left to her. Alan had a living trust that left his home, a ranch in California, to his sons, with the specification that Tanya could continue living there as long as she paid for maintenance on the property. He left 60% of his estate to be split between his three sons, with the remaining 40% going to Tanya. He also left the money from his life insurance policy, as well as his pension, to her. But according to the petition, that’s not enough for Tanya. The documents claim that Alan’s widow is now saying that there are problems with the trust, as well as with the prenup she signed eleven years ago. Because of that, and because she has rights to the ranch, and also because she put her own career aside to support Alan, she wants to reevaluate the trust. Brennan and Robin also claim that Tanya threatened to go to the tabloids if they didn’t agree to her demands. It’s pretty nasty, and it’s only getting nastier. Tanya has already gone to the media, telling TMZ that she’s not, as so many believe now, a gold digger, and that she and Alan were actually planning on having a baby before he died. But she’s not done yet … and her new statement is pretty darn scandalous. According to a statement Tanya’s lawyer made, she’s the good guy in this situation — and Alan’s sons are the ones with the bad intentions. “Since Alan died,” the statement reads, “his sons have been haranguing her to let them turn America’s dad’s homestead into a massive pot plantation.” “When she said no, they filed this bogus lawsuit and smeared her in the tabloids. They’re just trying to bully a woman whose only crime is loving their father with everything she had for 17 years.” Yeah, so go ahead and let that sink in for a moment. It’s just interesting because when we first heard this news, it wasn’t because Alan’s sons were going to the media, it was because they filed the petition in court. They still haven’t made any sort of public statement. But Tanya has been speaking to multiple outlets, and now she’s trying to say that the whole issue began because she didn’t want Brennan and Robin to use the family home to grow marijuana? Without knowing the full situation, it kind of seems like she’s going to the tabloids like the original petition suggested she might, doesn’t it? View Slideshow: Alan Thicke Dead at 69: Celebrities React This must be such a difficult, trying time for everyone involved, and it doesn’t look like things are going to get easier anytime soon. But, you know, not making statements about how your dead husband’s sons want to use the family home to grow drugs might help a little.

Bob Carter Dies; Father of Nick & Aaron Carter Was 65

Bob Carter, the father of former pop stars Nick and Aaron Carter, has reportedly passed away. He was 65 years old. Sources close to the Carter family tell TMZ that Bob passed away in Florida on Tuesday night. No cause of death has been revealed, but it appears that the Carter’s passing was unexpected. In a tweet that’s since been deleted, Aaron stated that his father had been found unconscious in the hours before his death. In addition to raising two of the best-known pop stars of the late ’90s and early 2000s, Bob appeared in his sons’ reality show, House of Carters. The show, which ran for one season on E! in 2006, also featured Bob’s other three children, Leslie, Angel and Bobbie. Sadly, the Carters were unable to maintain their popularity, and both brothers wound up as tabloid staples during their respective downward spirals. Aaron Carter filed for bankruptcy and checked into rehab during a dark 18 month time period that started in 2011. These days, he’s reportedly sober, but still far from being back on his feet financially. For his part, former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter hasn’t fallen quite as far, but he’s had own struggles with substance abuse and the law. Last year, Nick was arrested after getting involved in a bar brawl in Florida. Bob’s death is just the latest sad chapter in the Carter family saga. Nick and Aaron’s sister Leslie Carter passed away in 2012. Both singers paid tribute to their father on social media today. “I am heartbroken to share the news that our father, Robert, passed away last night…” Nick tweeted moments ago. “While we learn more about the cause of death, and begin the grieving process, we ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.” “My heart is completely shattered,” Aaron, 29, tweeted. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam “I’m in shock and I loved my dad so much. #RIP DADDY I Love You.” In an Instagram post, he added, “My heart is broken. We are so hurt we lost you poppa way too soon. You were never human to me, you were always my real life super hero.”

Chris Cornell Dies; Lead Soundgarden Singer Was 52

Chris Cornell, a musician who rose to fame as the lead singer of Soundgarden before taking on the same role for Audioslave, died Wednesday night in Detroit. He was 52 years old. Brian Bumbery, a rep for the artist, has confirmed this sad piece of news to the Associated Press and other outlets. Via a statement to CNN, Bumbery says that Cornell was performing in The Motor City with Soundgarden, which had embarked on a domestic tour in April, when he passed away. He referred to the death as “sudden and unexpected,” saying in full: “His wife Vicky and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing, and they will be working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause. “They would like to thank his fans for their continuous love and loyalty and ask that their privacy be respected at this time.” Cornell had just taken the stage on Wednesday evening at the Fox Theater in Detroit. Soundgarden was among the most prominent bands in the grunge music scene that dominated the 1990s. The band’s hits included “Spoonman,” ”Fell on Black Days,” ”Black Hole Sun,” “My Wave” and “The Day I Tried to Live.” Cornell started his career in Seattle back in 1984 when he helped form the popular group. We will need to await an autopsy before learning the cause of death, but Cornell was open through the years about his struggle with alcohol abuse and those close to him who died from a similar addiction. “I’ve lost a lot of young, brilliant friends, people that I thought were very inspired,” he told Rolling Stone in 2015, adding: “They’re all young and these guys all had limitless potential in their lives in front of them.” It’s true: With his passing, Cornell joins a long line of lead grunge rock singers who died at a young age. To wit: – Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain was found dead in his Seattle home in 1994 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. – Alice in Chains’ original frontman, Layne Staley, died from a drug overdose in 2002. – Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots passed away of an accidental overdose in 2015. Soundgarden won two Grammy Awards in 1995. The track “Black Hole Sun” took home the Grammy for best hard rock performance, while the song “Spoonman” won for best metal performance that year. After the band broke up in 1997, Cornell performed solo for a few years prior to forming Audioslave. That super group included former Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford, and had a successful run in its own right. Soundgarden reunited in 2012 and released the band’s sixth studio album, “King Animal.” Wrote musician Dave Navarro upon learning Cornell had died: “SO SO stunned to hear about Chris Cornell! Such a terrible and sad loss! Thinking of his family tonight! RIP.” We, like so many fans, share the same sentiment. Added Carson Daly just a few minutes ago: View Slideshow: 29 Musicians Who Died Too Young I’m so shocked to wake up and hear about the sudden passing of Chris Cornell. A quintessential voice of a generation. Praying for his family. Known for his charisma on stage, Cornell was very generous off of it. He once told CNN: “If I write a song and put it out there, it’s not mine anymore.” “It takes on a life of its own, and when you listen to it, it becomes your song. And over the course of generations, those meanings will change.” May he rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam
