Richard Dysart, a veteran actor of the screen and stage best known for his role as Leland McKenzie on the hit series L.A. Law, died Sunday at his home. He was 86. His publicist confirmed Dysart’s passing to the media. Dysart was on L.A. Law for the Stephen Bochco-created show’s duration, from 1986-1994, winning an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama in 1992. The Boston-born star accumulated dozens of other small- and big-screen credits to his name over the course of his nearly five-decade career, as well. Fans may remember Dysart for roles in films such as The Thing, The Falcon and the Snowman, Mask, Wall Street and Back to the Future Part III . Family and friends say his heart remained in the theater, where he got his start, and where he founded the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Dysart’s Broadway credits are even more impressive than his screen resume. A.C.T. paid tribute to him today on Facebook, saying in a statement: “A.C.T. mourns the loss of one of our founding members, Richard Dysart … Richard was a true actor’s actor; we celebrate the life of this incredible talent.” Blair Underwood, who co-starred on L.A. Law with him, wrote: “I just found that my old friend Richard Dysart passed away today; age 86. A big heart and perfect gentleman. You will be missed! #LAlaw #the1990s.” Debi Mazar offered a similar sentiment, tweeting: “R.I.P #RichardDysart amazing actor whom I’ve had the privledge to work on LA Law! Earlier today, we reported that Marilyn Manson was punched in the face while enjoying some gourmet cuisine at a Denny’s in Alberta, Canada. Sadly, the culprit was not longtime Manson rival Courtney Love , but some unidentified Canadian who, we’re guessing, was made to feel a like a real hoser and threw his mittens to the floor, hockey-style, before the fight. Initial reports stated that someone in Manson’s entourage had called a woman at another table a “b-tch,” and an argument broke out that quickly turned physical. Now, Manson is refuting that claim and insisting that he was actually the victim of a violent attack from a lone psycho. According to TMZ, Manson says he was sucker punched by a man who then threatened to detonate a bomb at his next concert. Scary stuff. Sources close to the 46-year-old rocker say that he plans to return to Alberta in order to press charges against his attacker. As a new season of Game of Thrones approaches, fans of the show are positing theories and, of course, immediately being shot down by spoiler-happy D-bags who read the books. Emilia Clarke plays Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, and Creator of Boners, Daenerys Targaryen on the series, and apparently she’s a big fan of surprises Either that or she’s every bit as crafty as the Khaleesi, because when asked about the future of her character in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Emilia was about as informative as Hodor. Here’s your requisite warning that potential spoilers lie ahead: First, Clarke was asked about the possibility of her character crossing paths with Tyrion Lannister and even though the they’re meeting is hinted at in a million Game of Thrones Season 5 trailers , Emilia played it coy: “I reckon they’d probably get along quite well, because they’re quite similar in so many ways,” Clarke says. Okay, so we know she’s BS-ing us on that one (You don’t have to have read the books to know that Tyrion and Daenerys bro-down at some point this season.), but how does she feel about all those Game of Thrones fan theories? THR was particularly interested in her thoughts on the identity of Jon Snow’s parents , as according to the popular R + L = J theory, Jon and Daenerys are actually related. Emilia says she wasn’t aware of that theory (Do they not have wi-fi in Meereen?), but she says that even if turns out to be true, it doesn’t necessarily mean that Dany and Jon will never throw down or hook up. (This is Westeros, after all.) “If me and Jon Snow did meet, it would be interesting,” says Clarke. “It would be funny, but I think Daenerys would ultimately kick his ass.” She added that she wouldn’t rule out the possibility that they’ll have a little sword-in-sheath action, as it would allow the Khaleesi to “keep the bloodline pure,” as Targaryens are wont to do. Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has hit quite a few bumps in the road in the past year, and now it looks like she may be going through another rough patch. After being publicly accused of cheating on Jeremy Calvert , the father of her third child and her husband of two years, Leah’s world seemed slowly unravel. Last we heard, Leah was shutting down her salon after being investigated for illegal business practices, but remarkably, it looked as though she had managed to save her marriage. Despite major difficulties, the Calverts appeared to be on solid ground. Now, however, it seems that Leah’s personal life is going down the tubes as quickly as her career. Saturday marked the two-year anniversary of Leah and Jeremy’s wedding, but the Calverts didn’t celebrate that or the Easter holiday together. Yesterday, Leah tweeted that she was “blessed to be spending the day with [her] 3 beautiful girls,” but she made no mention of her husband. On Saturday, Leah didn’t acknowledge her anniversary at all, but retweeted a quote reading, “No marriage is perfect or easy, but that’s what makes it real.” The image contained in the re-tweeted post was a painted sign reading “A perfect marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other.” Meanwhile, Jeremy posted the photo on the right, in which he is very clearly not wearing a wedding ring (he does, however, have a sweet cowboy hat). Calvert moved out on Messer back in October, but after a brief fling with Brittany Musick , he decided to give the troubled Teen Mom a second chance. Now it looks as though Messer and Calvert have parted ways for good, and given how tumultuous their brief marriage has been, we wouldn’t be surprised. In fact, we’re going to go ahead and say that despite how sad it is, this is probably the best thing for both of them, and their daughter, at this stage of the game.
