For the first several months of her pregnancy, Kailyn Lowry wouldn’t reveal the identity of her baby daddy . Eventually, we learned that it was a fellow Delaware State University student named Chris Lopez who got Kailyn pregnant , but the man remains shrouded in mystery. As it turns out, that’s just how Lopez prefers it. In a new preview for the show’s upcoming season premiere, we get to see Kailyn open up about Lopez for the first time on camera. It turns out, she’s not loving his behavior as of late, and her friends aren’t fans either. When a friend of Kailyn’s describes Lopez as a “player,” Lowry reveals that he’s not appearing on Teen Mom 2 because he fears it might interfere with his other relationships. “He doesn’t want to be on the show,” Lowry says Lopez in the clip. “He doesn’t want his name on the show.” When the friend asks if it’s because he’s camera shy, Kailyn clarifies: “He doesn’t want his other hoes to know about me!” And Kailyn wasn’t done complaining about Lopez, who apparently will play very little part in the life of his child with Kailyn. When Lowry’s first baby daddy, Jo Rivera, asks about the situation with Chris, Kailyn responds: “It’s such a not solid situation I don’t want to discuss any of it on TV.” Needless to say, we don’t think you’ll be hearing a whole lot about Mr. Lopez this season. Sources close to the situation say Lopez broke up with Lowry after a brief fling last year. She reportedly thought the relationship was serious and was stunned by his reaction to her pregnancy. Lopez has apparently agreed to assist with the finances, but wants no part in the child’s life. And now it seems his commitment to the single life is such that he doesn’t want MTV (and the sizable paychecks it’s no doubt offering) cramping his style. Obviously, Chris doesn’t exactly sound like a stand-up guy, but you almost have to admire that level of commitment to the player lifestyle.
