Leaked Emails Prove Michigan Officials Purchased Water For Themselves Before Flint Water Crisis Just when you think you’ve read all the shocking stories regarding the Flint Water Crisis , here comes leaked emails proving Michigan state officials were purchasing clean water for themselves while telling Flint residents it was okay to drink and bathe their children in that poisonous lead water. Per Detroit Free Press : In January of 2015, when state officials were telling worried Flint residents their water was safe to drink, they also were arranging for coolers of purified water in Flint’s State Office Building so employees wouldn’t have to drink from the taps, according to state government e-mails released Thursday by the liberal group Progress Michigan. A Jan. 7, 2015, notice from the state Department of Technology, Management and Budget, which oversees state office buildings, references a notice about a violation of drinking water standards that had recently been sent out by the City of Flint. “While the City of Flint states that corrective actions are not necessary, DTMB is in the process of providing a water cooler on each occupied floor, positioned near the water fountain, so you can choose which water to drink,” said the notice. “The coolers will arrive today and will be provided as long as the public water does not meet treatment requirements.” Caleb Buhs, a spokesman for DTMB, said the water coolers were provided in response to the city health notice in late December or early January, which he acknowledged was about a contamination issue the city said had already subsided. The state continued to provide the coolers of purified water, right up to today, because “there were more findings as we went along,” Buhs said. Buhs said his department never told state workers the tap water was unsafe to drink, but only provided an alternative, as a landlord would do for tenants. If Caleb Buhs and DTMB doesn’t get the entire f*ck up out of here with that “we were only providing an alternative” BS. Where was the alternative for Flint residents? Meanwhile, disgraced POS Michigan governor Rick Snyder signed a bill on Friday to provide $28 million in funding that will go towards fixing damaged pipes treating the health problems of all those people who drank from the tap. Too little, too late, bruh!

Euro Couple Arrested When Guns Are Found In The Bags At Disneyland Paris THIS is how bad things have gotten . Even in “The Happiest Place On Earth”, people STILL feel the need to pack heat. That s#!t cray. Via NYDailyNews The man arrested for bringing two guns to Disneyland Paris said he packed the weapons to protect himself. The unidentified 28-year-old European told police he brought the pair of low-caliber handguns to the next-door New York Hotel Thursday because he “feared for his safety,” AFP reported. Cops did not elaborate on the man’s comments. While the gun incident does not seem to be rooted in terrorism, police are still looking for the man’s girlfriend: Police detained a female suspect Thursday, but later admitted they nabbed the wrong woman. The man’s bag tipped security alarms when it went through the Disney-owned hotel’s X-ray machine Thursday, park officials said. Guards found the weapons, plus a box of ammo and a Koran in the suitcase, and immediately called cops. Smh. Cuba Gooding Jr. Wishes Goldman/Brown Families Peace Don’t know about y’all but we are kinda hype to see The People v. O.J. Simpson when it premieres Tuesday — but we didn’t realize creators of the mini-series never reached out to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman until reading about how they have publicly expressed being uncomfortable about not being included in the making of the show. Apparently Cuba Gooding Jr. has heard those concerns and is doing his part to assure the project he signed on to star in maintains a high level of integrity. Via E!Online reports: “I just hope that they find some peace because I can’t imagine what they’re going through,” he says when asked if there’s anything he’d like to tell the families. “You know, when I signed on to this project, it was because Ryan Murphy was doing it and I want to work with real filmmakers and that first and foremost was my reasoning for accepting this role. Prior to this offering, I had an offer to do a film based on O.J.’s innocence and I passed. So, here I am. So, I don’t pretend to try to understand what any of this means to either the Goldmans or the Browns, but I’m an actor. I was asked to do a role. Hopefully I brought some truth to it and that will help in the process of understanding the circus that was this time in America.” He adds that the goal was to use their considerable talents to faithfully present the lives of those caught up in the media circus surrounding the case to this new generation. “I want people to know that we had the best intentions to bring our artistry to the lives and the events surrounding that trial and the personalities that were surrounding it as well,” Gooding says. It turns out the series used Jeffrey Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson as the series’ main source material, which is why the family wasn’t contacted by Ryan Murphy and his team. The People v. O.J. Simpson premieres Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. on FX.
