For your viewing pleasure… Jussie Smollett Covers ‘Out’ Jussie Smollett is a proud gay man and he’s speaking candidly on his sexuality. The “Empire” star recently sat down with “Out” magazine to speak on his journey into stardom and accolades since landing the role of Jamal. He also made a point to confirm ( once again ) that he’s indeed gay—who could possibly fall in love with a woman. He tells OUT: “I am a gay man with an extremely open heart,” he says, easy and assured until he’s asked to elaborate on what that means to him. “God, I’ve never had to talk about this, so I’m trying to find the words. If I had to label myself, I would label myself as a gay man. With that said, I believe that love is the only thing that matters, and I would hope that anybody would leave themselves open — not to gender, but to love. I would hope that people would not close themselves off from what could be if, lo and behold, you meet somebody that just sweeps you off your feet, and you just can’t do anything about it. If we truly believe that we are born this way, then why do we try to stifle the way we were born? If I fall in love down the road with a woman, I’m going to love that woman.” On his words being misconstrued: “I’m sure that those words will be misconstrued,” he says, because if there’s one thing he’s learned this year, it’s how easily that can happen. “But this is a conversation that deserves to be had, because we don’t all understand each other. You’re not going to tell me that loving someone is wrong. That does not mean that heterosexuality is not very real. It does not mean that bisexuality is not very real. It does not mean that homosexuality is not very real. They are all very real. But what I’m saying is, I am a gay man. I am a gay man. I am a gay man. #Quarterblack: Jets Baller Brandon Marshall Says Cam Newton Hate Isn’t About Race

Brandon Marshall Doesn’t Think Race Is A Factor In Public’s Dislike Of Cam Newton As the 50th Super Bowl fast approaches there will be continued talk about lightning rod “quarterblack” Cam Newton and how his flamboyant personality and bravado rub (white) people the wrong way. Much of the talk surrounds the color of Cam’s skin, but New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall doesn’t seem to think race is a real issue. According to his comments on the Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore , he thinks it’s about something else… “It’s a generational thing and I just stick to that,” Marshall said on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore. “I don’t think it’s racial. I just think that there’s a box that we put our quarterbacks in and we say, ‘This is how you’re supposed to be. This is how Peyton Manning did it, this is how Joe Montana did it, Tom Brady, so you do it the same way.’” Not sure how Brandon can ignore the racial component of the thing, but he seems to admire Cam for using his voice: “I commend him because back in the day our athletes and entertainers used to be civil rights leaders. They used to speak up,” Marshall said. “But now, the business has taken over. You have these brands like Under Armour, Nike and Beats by Dre and the yogurt thing (Dannon) that he endorsed. They come in, they tell you, ‘you know what, just be a good boy, shut your mouth and collect your check.’” “I am one of those guys that, if I have an opinion I’m going to to say it. I guess that’s why I’m on my fourth team,” Marshall added, with a smile. Another topic often broached when talking about why Cam Newton isn’t liked is his infamous dab touchdown dance. Brandon seems to have a hard time making up his mind about that part… “I don’t want my quarterback dancing,” Marshall said. “I’m from the old school…I want my quarterbacks to get back in the huddle and lead us.” But then he turned right back around and complimented Newton. “But what we have to understand is this is the new generation. This is what they’re doing next. They’re disruptive, they’re disrespectful, they don’t give a damn about any one, and I kind of like it,” Marshall said. “Go back to when he was a rookie and he said, ‘I want to be an icon.’ You want to be an icon, you can’t stay in the box, you have to get out of the box, you have to be disruptive.” Based on these responses, we’re not sure if Brandon really rocks with Cam or not, but we can definitely say that race plays at least SOME factor in why people aren’t quick in embrace Cam. This gives new meaning to stay woke, dawg… Puerto Rican Man Plays Poker At Wake A Puerto Rican man’s unusual wake is making international headlines. Henry Rosario Martinez who died after a prescription pill overdose spent one more time alongside family and friends playing a game of a poker at his wake. The New York Post reports: This guy’s already cashed out — but that didn’t stop his pals from paying him a macabre tribute. Henry Rosario Martinez, a 31-year-old avid gambler, died earlier this month from booze and an overdose of prescription pills in his hometown of Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. Before Martinez was buried, the man’s dad had undertakers embalm his son, dress him in sunglasses and casual clothes and prop him up at a poker table so loved ones could see him one more time, doing what he enjoyed, CEN reported. A full house of friends gathered around Martinez’s corpse, anted up the memories and snapped pictures of him at the poker table, with a full stack of chips in front of him. Jose Melendez, owner of Eterna Luz Funeral Services, admitted he’s never done a job quite like this — but said it’s not unusual for grieving loved ones to request an arrangement to show how the dearly departed lived. ”It’s the first time we ever did this here. But we take it was something normal because this kind of things have been done in other parts of our country,” Melendez said. Henry joins the likes of Jomar Aguayo Collazo and Miriam Burbank who were also propped up in death at their wakes. What do YOU think about this wake/funeral trend???

Khloe Kardashian booted Rob Kardashian’s ass straight out of her house after finding him there with Blac Chyna, a new report claims. One of the strangest celebrity sagas in recent memory has captivated the Internet this week, with every day yielding insane new details. As we reported yesterday, Rob Kardashian is living with Blac Chyna , his always controversial new girlfriend and frequent family enemy. It turns out that’s true … with a fairly significant, awesome twist: He didn’t leave Khloe’s house to shack up with Blac entirely of his own volition; Khloe, who he had been living with, kicked him out. After coming home one day and finding him there with Blac. TMZ sources say it all went down last week , when she returned early from a trip promoting her terrible new show Kocktails with Khloe . Walking into the kitchen, she found Rob and Chyna there. There were liquor bottles and trash strewn about, and it appeared that the pair had been holed up for days doing lord only knows what. Not surprisingly, an even more pissed off Kardashian told Rob to “get the hell out” and that he was no longer welcome after this stunt. Khloe’s view – which she’s far from alone in holding – is that Rob is in a bad place in life and that a manipulative Chyna is preying on him. Also,  Rob’s been trolling us  with Instagram photos and buying expensive items for Chyna, which only makes his family more indignant. Another source says that it’s not just a petty beef with Chyna, who Khloe believes has taken her harassment of Kylie and Tyga too far.  In any case, with Rob Jr., Khloe feels that exercising tough love (and throwing shade on Instagram ) is the only way to go at this point. Khloe Kardashian Kicks Rob Kardashian Out Of Her Home Over Blac Chyna Unsurprisingly, the Kardashian women are not too pleased that their brother Rob has decided to start a new swirly relationship with Blac Chyna — a woman the family has screwed over and publicly trashed multiple times . But apparently their offense at his romantic choice is so great that Khloe has decided to put him on the streets for “ going against the family .” As reported by People : A source told PEOPLE Monday that Jenner, 18, is “livid” about the romance between Rob and Blac Chyna. “She feels super betrayed and can’t understand why someone in her own family would stab her in the back like that,” the source said. Though the Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been living with his sister Khloé Kardashian, the source says the new romance with Blac Chyna means “he won’t be welcomed back to Khloé’s now,” given the model’s complicated history with the Kardashian-Jenner sisters. But Rob is probably cool with that, since he’s a little sick of being around the camera-loving Kardashian klan for the moment anyway. He’s happy to be out getting some air and attention from someone other than his nagging sisters. Plus it doesn’t hurt that this whole thing is getting under the Kardashian girls’ skin — something Rob and Chyna are BOTH very interested in doing: “They are dating and have been for a few weeks. Who knows how serious it is,” the source tells PEOPLE. “Rob has been lonely for so long, so of course it’s great for him to spend time with someone other than his sisters. Rob has also found an escape from his family nagging him about his heath. He has ignored their attempts to contact him.” “Rob likes her and seems to think it’s mutual. It’s just hard to take things seriously since obviously both share a lot of anger toward the [Kardashian-Jenner] girls,” says the source. “They have both had a lot of drama with Kim. Jill Duggar: Using Birth Control For a Surprising Reason?

If you were a fan of 19 Kids and Counting , you know that the use contraception is highly discouraged in the Duggar family. After all, raising a massive brood is Michelle and Jim Bob’s claim to fame, and as adherents of the Quiverfull movement, they’ve taught their children that God wants them to bring as many offspring into the world as possible.  Now, however, Jill Duggar may be breaking with tradition (and violating her parents’ beliefs) by both using birth control herself – and encouraging others to do the same. As you may know, Jill and her husband Derick are currently doing missionary work in El Salvador. Like many Central American nations, El Salvador is currently under threat from the mosquito-borne Zika virus, which is known to cause microcephaly and other serious birth defects when pregnant women are infected. The CDC has advised against pregnant women traveling to that part of the world, and the government of El Salvador has cautioned residents that they must “avoid getting pregnant between this year and next” or risk birth defects, and even infant death. As the Duggar Family News Facebook page pointed out earlier today, that could cause a major conflict of interest for Jill and Derick: View Slideshow: Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard Photos “El Salvador is now advising women to avoid getting pregnant until 2018,” reads a status update posted by DFN. “Will Jill follow that advice? Birth control and any type of family planning is evil according to the Duggars. It’s interfering with God’s will … Will Jill advise women in El Salvador of childbearing years to use birth control? “I can’t imagine she would. Jill ignoring or denying the crisis could be a death sentence for a fetus or a lifelong disability. “Jill and Derick will have to adapt to a harsh new reality or suffer the consequences. We all will if this virus keeps on spreading.” Jill and Derick’s time in El Salvador has already been fraught with controversy. The couple was accused of stealing donations from fans after collecting money for a missionary trip, departing, and then being photographed in their Arkansas hometown just days later. The couple apologized, returned an undisclosed amount in donations, and headed back to El Salvador for what they described as a “much longer stay.” Obviously, after that debacle, Jill and Derick are probably not eager to cut their trip short a second time – which means they might currently be grappling with a very tough decision.
